Tempo Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
The food was outstanding and our server was wonderful. The bartender knew how to pour a beautiful drink, but the parking was a little tough and because the dining area is on the smaller side it was a little loud and hard to have a conversation because you felt like you were talking with the other dinners. However overall the night was filled with great food and drink.
My wife and I ate at Tempo last night and we had an excellent meal. She started with a carpaccio appetizers, which was one of the best we have tasted. And I had a soft shell crab, which they we able to prepare for me gluten free. Loved it. Both of us had fish main courses, her the branzino and I had red snapper. Both of these dishes were also excellent. Great service and a nice bottle of wine. Wonderful evening
Tempo is in a restored small apartment building on Delaware Avenue. Walking in, the entrance is not impressive but once inside you are in a warm, attractive, simple atmosphere. We sat at the bar for a drink first: the bartender is excellent as were the drinks. Dinner was solid, not spectacular, wine list by the glass was excellent.
This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. We came to Buffalo for my son's graduation. All 5 of us were so impressed with every aspect of this place. This had to been one of our favorite restaurants. The atmosphere, the service, the food, were all top notch. My husband, who knows good wine, was very impressed with the selection offered. I would definitely come here again!
Amazing restaurant--the food, service and ambiance were incredible. This is a jewel of a restaurant in any city, but it absolutely shines as the best I have been to in Buffalo.
I was visiting Buffalo and needed a special place for dinner. I did not like the first table they offered and they graciously moved me, no questions asked. The menu came and all of us were pleasantly surprised -- Branzino, veal chop (it is huge) and Italian delicacies are not something I expected to see on the menu in Buffalo along with many other great options. Every one of the four appetizers and entrees where prepared to perfection. The wait staff was well trained and cordial. The champagne and wine were incredibly well priced.
This is a special place that would easily be a go to place in Paris or NYC--it is the best in Buffalo.
Mother's Day. The server was not very attentive. He took almost 15 minutes to greet us. I asked him about it and he said I quote "We are busy". I was a GM in the restaurant business for 20 years and that type of attitude is unacceptable. They are places not as nice but the service is far better. Beside that it was good. Left him a $40.00 tip so I have the right to tell it like I is.
My husband and I went for our anniversary and had a wonderful dinner. I wasn't sure what to order after seeing some items on the menu that I didn't recognize. The waiter did such a fine job of describing the choices and how they are prepared that I took a chance and followed his recommendation even though it was a type of fish I would never have ordered on my own. Outstanding! Lovely, historic and cozy.
Another fabulous meal at Tempo! Had the Brazino again along with lobster bisque for appetizer. Good, service, ambience was terrific. Noise level was lower than on weekend and much appreciated. I don't like entrance to Men's room from within the main dining room. They should invest to relocate that! Glad I didn't have a table close to that door; very distracting and a bit gross for such a classy place!
We and our guests had a memorable meal to observe a special occasion among friends/colleagues. The menu and specials offered something for our diverse tastes. The service was attentive without being overbearing. Everyone enjoyed a well prepared, nicely presented meal. It would be hard to find a more expansive wine list, with again, something appealing for everyone. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and the staff later inquired as to our comfort and enjoyment. Upon leaving, we were graciously thanked and invited to return. I recommend Tempo without qualification.
TEMPO is one of the best restaurants in the country and never disappoints.
The ambience nods to the beautiful, historic Buffalo neighborhood and is wam, clean and contemporary.
The staff is spectacular; outstanding service, friendly, kind and respectful. You don't have to look for them or ask for things, they magically are always there.
The food is gourmet, flavorful and always done to perfection. I usually get the oysters and the veal chop.
This last time we had a 10p reservation and we ran late and were made to feel as VIP guests, never rushed and wonderful.
Whenever I visit home, I will be at my favorite restaurant entertaining family and friends.
I have dined here quite a bit and has been good but..Start to finish it was one of the worst dining experiences I have had ever. I was placed in the upstairs, with a table that was crooked(I had to keep my foot under the leg to keep it level) and the room was definitely cold. The salad they brought out to me was terrible and tasteless. My entrée off the specials menu was overall one of the worst things ever. The Porkchop was tough and dandelion greens were so bitter that you couldn't eat it. I expressed twice my displeasure of my meal and was ignored.
