Temple Orange - Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa Ratings and Reviews
What started out as a dinner for 4 quickly grew to a dinner for 8 and we were quickly and efficiently accommodated in the most courteous way possible. Leroy our server was excellent and could not have been more pleasant. All the food was thoroughly enjoyed and the service was what you would wish for every time.
Food was not too good- overcooked calamari, bucatini pasta sauce not too flavorful & matzah ball soup just OK. Probably will not go back for meals- great views/ atmosphere, but lobby bar surprisingly small for location. Had to wait to get add'l drinks after dinner.
The hotel is absolutely gorgeous! The restaurant was very clean and the food was wonderful! We had a Mediterranean platter to start and the seafood was delicious. Very fresh. Out server was very attentive and overall it was great. The only thing that was less than perfect was the very very noisy group in the back.
I took my vegetarian friend here and there was PLENTY to choose from for her and for this omnivore! Portions were nicely sized. Our waiter, Andrew, was fantastic - exactly what you hope for at a nice restaurant. If I had to search for criticism, it would be that the restaurant obviously holds a (breakfast?) buffet and that equipment being around takes away from the ambience but just slightly. I'd return!!
we came here for brunch and immediately were disappointed. their brunch costs more than sundy house's, but the spread pales in comparison. also the ambiance is nowhere near as nice. so, instead or brunch, we ordered a la carte. the food was actually decent, but not great. the service was atrocious. i definitely would not come back and would recommend sundy house brunch any day of the week over temple orange.
Food as always was perfect. Great service by staff as well. I only recommend a larger menu selection. In regards to the noise level typically it is moderate but on this visit there was a family that was extremely loud and rude to those seated around them. I recommend in the future that the staff manager ask that they show restraint in such an environment.
I saw an item on my check that floored me after a lovely dining experience.. Both premium martinis had an additional $4. added on for having them "UP"! !Outrageous! I've dined in some of the finest (and priciest) restaurants and never saw such a blatant rip-off.. Never would have happened in the Ritz Carlton aegis. Temple Bar has gone from a go-to special place, to a place I'd never order a cocktail again place.
we went for dinner, the dinning room we were seated must be used primarily for the breakfast buffet because all of the empty buffet tables and equipment were all over the room
the soup we ordered finally was served approximately hour later, the rest of the order arrived after another hour
the server while placing my wife's dinner ask if he could re plate because it looked so bad
since we were already tired of waiting , we declined and just ate some and left
must say for supposedly an up scale restaurant , the service, food and lack of concern was pretty bad
I made the Reservation as o wanted a quien place TO celebrate my Bday WITH my two Girls and husband. Everything was good until WE got there. My Reservation was initially For 7:30 and they made us wait For 10' as they said so i didnt have any problems with that.... Time went on to be almost 40' and my kids were getting hungry and tired. Finally they gave us a table inside as requested (cold windy night to be outside). Our server LEROY was the best thing of the night.... Very attentive and accommodating with the girls...the food was just OK. My daughter only ate half of her margarita flat bread and my yellow fin tuna was not flavorful at all.
Overall.... Not a great experience to come back for celebration. It was dark but the atmosphere outside was Beautiful with fire place going.
What is so great about Temple Orange is that it would be a great farm to table style restaurant anywhere, but it also has a beautiful outdoor ocean and pool view too.
The food is fresh and delicious, the servers have that humble graciousness that is common in high-end hotels, the prices are reasonable (it would cost as much to eat anywhere off the beach in this area) and the scenery is top notch. Oceanfront eateries are not common in Palm Beach County, and this one has it all without the premium prices
Six women gathered for a birthday lunch for a friend. The hotel lobby was beautiful, and then our experience went downhill. The staff was dressed in dowdy, sloppy looking uniforms. Their walk, talk, and attitude were less than enthusiastic. The food was cold.....cold toast, cold flatbreads, etc. etc. etc. We were never offered coffee refills. Six women would never return!!!!!
My husband and I, having dined at Temple Orange twice before, suggested meeting friends for the Sunday brunch. As we expected, our friends were impressed by the location and view. Since it was a very windy day we opted to dine indoors. Food was delicious and the staff was extremely attentive.
We all agreed it was a wise choice to meet at Temple Orange and would definitely make it one of our regular meeting spots!
There were some highlights and some lows with this restaurant. View and hotel is beautiful. Service was poor. Food varied from very good to just OK. For $75/P&P for brunch, there were better places if you are there for the food experience. You are paying for the ambiance.
It's an occasion place.
If you are the area, save some money and go for drinks.
Cindy made my birthday so perfect it was almost impossible to compare it. Marc from heart of the house & James maitre D were all awesome. brunch was amazing. Great Mediterranean buffet & her selection on wine was phenomenal. Chef Carlos made such a great omelette
A "restaurant.com"" certificate brought us here. The food was quite good. There seemed to be a "middle eastern" trend to the dishes, which was fine for my husband and myself. I had short ribs and he had a scallop dish. Temple Orange is part of a resort complex. We found it lovely and great for people watching.
Perfect place for lunch in a resort setting with beautiful ocean views in South Palm Beach. Great food and attentive service makes the pricey tab worth the splurge. Was pleasantly surprised since we haven't been here since hotel used to be a Ritz Carlton. New ownership haven't skipped a beat and seems to have maintained very high standards. Very impressed and would highly recommend for lunch.Eau
This place is very nicely decorated. We dined on the patio which overlooked the fire pit. Sound of the ocean in the background and music wafting from the inside of the restaurant. Dinner was professionally presented. Food itself was well prepared. Service was excellent. Prices were also reasonable for this venue.
This former Ritz Carlton oceanfront property is naturally stunning. The hostess was the most accommodating, pleasant gal I've run across. Kudos to her. Two minor complaints. The attentiveness of the service help was quite lacking. We had to ask a number of times for water, flatware, refills, take dishes off our table, etc. The server was well informed, humorous and generally good, though he didn't seem quite as refined as he should have been for a restaurant of that caliber. But, pretty good overall. No real complaints. The appetizers were all phenomenal, outstanding. One of the entrees however, was definitely not up to par. We did send it back and they accommodated us. They have work to do, but I'll give it another chance.
Since the Ritz Carlton was sold and has become Eauthere was not one change at the hotel except the menu. Temple Orange is looking worn. The menu was ok but very expensive with a salad with 4 shrimp costing $25 and coffee $5! The best part is ocean view which is gorgeous. Unfortunately the ocean at the hotel is about only 5 feet wide now after the storms we had this past summer.
The staff tried to be attentive but we had to ask for sweetener and milk for the coffee. The restaurant was empty except for one other table. Therefore we should have had waitresses at our table as they were just walking around.
Be prepared to spend money as it is a hotel, but the atmosphere is still breathtaking and will be busy again soon.
The description of the restaurant on OpenTable indicates a Mediterranean influence. The menu that night had little in the way of Mediterranean options. The food was great, but was expecting something a little different. Definitely read the menu to get a feel for the food. Everything else was great (including the food we had).
We dined at Temple Orange for dinner twice while staying at Eau Palm. The menu had a good variety of types of foods and price points. Everything we tried was excellent and the service matched the food. One of my friends ordered a drink and didn't like it, the waitress quickly took it away and replaced it with something else. The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice - upscale without being pretentious. If you're staying at Eau Palm, be sure to try Temple Orange for dinner.
