Temple Gourmet Chinese
I was dining with my boyfriend and our 18 month old daughter. Which is a feat in itself. We had reservations, however I didn’t think the staff was very accommodating to us. That was a major turn off. I didn’t even tell my boyfriend that I felt uncomfortable while he ran to the liquor store because he would have wanted to leave immediately.
There was one highlight this evening amongst the entire staff and that would be a young man named Aiden (sp?). He tried to be so helpful to us and I was grateful. He checked up us more than our server. Too bad I wasn’t able to leave him our tip...
I was a die hard fan of Temple when we didn’t have a child in tow but I don’t feel like they get the parental dining experience. It’s on a completely different level.
Great food. Great service. This was my first time eating at Temple, it move to the list of my favorite places.
The Staff is very courteous and knowledgeable about the dinners that are served. The service is very good also. They have a very varied menu so lots to choose from. The food is very good also.
Good food, not great food. I've been there in the past and thought it was better. If we were in the area and in the mood for Chinese food, we'd probably go back. But with so many choices in the area, it wouldn't be my first choice.
We were greeted and seated promptly, food and service were exceptional
Love Temple Gourmet. Food and service are always wonderful. Highly Recommend.
Generous portions and delicious! Brought wine and they opened for us. Food was very hot when served.
One of our favorite restaurants-but massively disappointing this time. It seems they are going through some significant changes. Food was subpar.
We haven’t been here for several years - always loved it. New Management has done this place a disservice. Service was lacking for sure and the food & ambience a big disappointment.
Food is always great here, but the service was fair at best on our last visit. We were a party of 7 and none of the meals came out together. Then we ordered coffee and dessert and coffee never came.
Great food, great service, great dinner, good times!!!
Never disappoints I have the special grouper. Service and Ambience is always great. Shout out to Lucy who made the experience Wonderful
Our go to place for delicious food and amazing service. It’s our favorite Chinese restaurant
We always enjoy our meals at Temple. The best part is having enough to take home for dinner tomorrow!! Excellent!
We haven't been to Temple for 3 or 4 years Since it was in the middle of a heat wave we ate inside and it was full and very noisy. The food and service was very good but it was so noice we couldn't hear each other talk.
The waiter service was slow, and there was hardly any other customers in the restaurant.
Fish dishes were overwhelmed by the disproportionate amount of vegetables.
Always great food and great service!!
Always amazing. The only Chinese restaurant I’ll eat at!!!
Had Sesame chicken. A lot of the chicken was very hard and could not eat it.
Food came out cold- they reheated and changed the texture . Surprised by that - all in all decent night . Large party and waiter wasn’t. On top of us
Love the open table option. Would recommend to others.
Always have unique dishes
Very unhappy with their decision to add a fee for credit card use under the guise of a "service fee' to cover new increase minimum wage law. You should never penalize a cohort of loyal repeat customers.
A poor business plan..I and many others will not be back.
Unfortunately, the minimum wage hike of $2/hour and 20% increase for tipped hours over a 6 month period has forced businesses to adapt to political changes. We found that giving our customers an option of paying cash or credit was better than raising menu prices and giving customers no option at all. Temple does not profit from the 3.5% increase. This is what the credit card companies charge us. Please realize that this was not an easy decision to make but necessary to stay viable.
Great food consistently with good service
Food is delicious and good size portions! The issue is timing. Appetizers come quickly and then there’s a long wait before the main course.
Awesome waitstaff!! Awesome food!!
A little on the pricey side but great food and nice service. Parking is a bit of a challenge in the area but worth the trip.
I don't think I will be coming back here again, the staff is made up of a bunch of young kids that look to rush you. Very unprofessional waiters and waitresses. the steak we ordered was a terrible cut of meat (very fatty and chewy) The appetizers were very good I must admit.
This place has gone downhill over the past two years.
Always good. Great value
Food was fantastic! We ate outside and the service was excellent. Tried the sizzling scallops and shrimp this time along with our favorite black pepper filet mignon. Amazing! Also the satay chicken appetizer was delicious. Can’t wait to come back.
This was a terrible experience. I don't know what happened to this restaurant but apparently other people feel the same way. For a Saturday night in June, it was very quiet.
When my husband the waiter did & said it was "only" a piece of steel wool used to watch the plates/pots.
They "soooo" generously took off the price of the soup from the check - & that was it. No apologies, not an offer of a dessert on the house, nothing.
Too bad - it USED to be a nice restaurant; good food & BYO. Someone needs to mind the store.
Our server, Tom, was very attentive. The food is consistently outstanding, and we love byob. What more could you wish for?
Always a consistently great meal!!! One of our favorites
Food is always amazing and service is awesome. Just a little noisy.
This was our first time and we really liked it. It was hard to make a choice because there were so many appealing choices on the menu. My only complaint is the server suggested that we should order a rice dish since the app and the two entrees were "low on carbs." She recommended the special fried rice, which included lobster meat, and while it was quite good, it was really expensive -- twice as much as the entrees. She should have warned us about that and the fact that the portions are gigantic -- we really didn't need to order it to begin with.
Very flavorful foods, reasonable priced, nice atmosphere....highly recommended.
Temple has a great take on Chinese. They gave a great
Our favorite restaurant in Red Bank. We try and go once a month. Amazing food and service
Good food but wait staff seemed inexperienced.
Tom was a great server. We had the chicken and broccoli and the chicken with pineapple. We both had appetizers. Tom was nice enough to hold the sesame seeds on one dish. Lots of food. We both brought home leftovers. Always a very pleasant experience!
Always good.. never fails to be great!
