Roughly translated, a Temerario is a bold, brave brother, a carnal, symbolized by the mural of the proud and strong luchador in our dining room. A temerario is arriesgada—reckless, sometimes irreverent...it’s also Chef Mario Hernandez's creative way with the food he grew up on in Cuernavaca Mexico. His fellow temerario at the bar, mixologist Christopher Reyes, serves small-batch agave spirits, house-made syrups, and fresh jugo (fruit juices) in an array of daring and delicious cocktails.

Amazing food and services for reasonable prices! We throughly enjoyed our meal!
We sat outside and the heat lamps made it so we weren't cold at all! Service was fast and everyone was friendly - food and drinks were incredible I will definitely be returning!! 10/10 experience.
Terrible experience. A restaurant not worth visiting once. The service was non-existent. The waiter came to take our order 30 min after we were seated; drinks about hour past; food 1.5 hours. Had to ask for the check twice.
The food was amazing and well portioned. Cocktails were great, and very friendly service! Will definitely be back.
The food and drinks were amazing! The staff was so nice and helpful and our server went above and beyond for us! Will be our new spot for now on!
Great drinks, nachos were delicious. Waiter was attentive. Definitely recommend this place
not worth the money in my opinion. nothing special. tiny portions.
Amazing food and atmosphere!
Great food and service! The outdoor seating is perfect for social distancing and they still have a really fun vibe
Our party of two arrived during Happy Hour and cobbled together a great meal from the reasonably priced and delicious bar menu. Fish tacos, corn on the cob, guacamole, and a shrimp tostado (or something similar) were easy to share and there was enough for dinner. The $8.00 margaritas were awesome as well.
Food sounded delicious when we reviewed menu online. After being seated we learned that verdes sauce was not a traditional tomatillo sauce but also included avocado. As we have avocado allergy we decided not to eat at the restaurant as almost every dish included avocado.
Amazing! Love coming here for brunch. Best spicy margaritas!
Carolina was as always the best.so glad to have been back
Second time going here with my bf and we always enjoy the food and place.
Great place to meet up with friends for brunch/dinner
Overall, a good experience. It was worth it, given it was Valentine's day. Our reservations were for 6:30 pm, but they seated us early.
We got there early and were able to take advantage of the happy hour specials which were delicious. We each had a traditional margarita and it was well done (I hate mixes). We tried the elote which was amazing and I sure did wonder where they found such sweet, flavorful corn! The flautas and fish taco were also excellent. I was totally full by that time but my son had ordered the coliflor al pastor so I had to try that as well. So flavorful that I couldn't stop eating it! Service was friendly and attentive. Well done Temerario!
The food was really below standard. Also our bill was exorbitant compared to the value of the food.
I liked the variation on the guacamole but it could have used a little more garlic and lime. The fish tacos seemed light on the grilled fish, which I could barely taste over the the other ingredients. I did enjoy the toppings on the taco. If you order just tacos, order a side of something else or an appetizer as two tacos was not enough. Lastly, the music was quite loud. Thankfully on a Tuesday night it was not crowded so my party could hold a conversation without yelling even though the music was quite loud.
Server was extremely absent minded but if you aren’t expecting quick refills for your $25 unlimited drinks, then you should have a great time.
We were surprised at How delicious the food was. The guacamole had some sort of spice that was different and exquisite. The chicken in Molé sauce was the best we’ve ever had. The sangria was also very tasty, obviously made with a reasonably high quality wine as its base. We will definitely be back.
👍. Good times
Sunday was a drag brunch!!! Loved it. Performances were great.
It was ok, didn’t realize this was a B rates restaurant
It was a good restaurant...the drinks were good, and most of the food was great as well. The only issue we had was the location of our table...it was right in the front near the entrance and so it was freezing every time someone walked in. It also felt like they placed the table right in the middle of everyone's path, so we kept getting bumped and hovered over throughout our meal. Had we been seated at a different table, it would be have been really great!
Cute casual place for a late night bite. Food was good, service delightful.
Great dinner with old friends. We got there early enough for happy hour and got some drink specials and apps before our entrees. We ate and drank a lot and the bill was $45pp, which I think was a good value.
The bottomless brunch includes (strong) margaritas and the food presentation was unexpectedly stunning for such a rustic yet modern atmosphere!
Excellent service and drinks. Unique brunch options.
Good service and food. Tables arranged around bar area and it’s extremely loud. Difficult to have a conversation across table on this Friday night.
Guacamole excellent, outdoor seating excellent, grilled fish tacos very oily and not good (didn’t even finish), inattentive bartender/server
Had a very nice dinner here with a friend. It was fairly busy for a Tuesday summer evening. The waitress was friendly & professional and the rest of the staff attentive. The drinks & food were good and presented nicely. I’d recommend this little Chelsea gem.
The food was tasty but was also way over priced for the very small portions. The main dishes were as small as the appetizers, and even at happy hour prices we felt like we spent too much to walk away feeling like we needed an entire second meal.
Well, the frozen strawberry margarita first, from some kind of mix or something, absolutely nothing fresh there and still 15 dollars!!!. Fish tacos, really average and the fish again not fresh.
The only really good thing was the nachos, great fresh appetizer. Sorry to say but not value for the money.
To get value for the money I would drink a beer and eat nachos.
Great happy hour!
Only thing was every time we had another round of drinks we asked for no straws and they kept giving us straws. We can reuse them and/or just not have straws - we don't need them with every round. That was my only issue. Otherwise it was flawless and perfect.
We made a reservation for late Saturday night. When we arrived, they told us the kitchen was closed. Extremely annoying.
Where is the manager?? I booked a reservation for 4 ppl for 11PM because family was arriving to NYC via train at 10:20PM. The restaurant called to confirm my reservation and told me that they would "wait for us and keep the kitchen open" - even though they usually close the kitchen at 11PM. My family arrived a little earlier than expected, so we got to the restaurant at 10:40PM. When we told the hostess we had a reservation, she said "I'm sorry, the kitchen is closed." I told her that the person who called us said they would stay open until we arrived at 11PM, and it was know only 10:40PM. Without saying anything, she walked away to the back of the restaurant. About 5 minutes later (as I was checking opentable to see what else was open), a man came to the front and said he could seat us but would need to do it in the next 5 minutes because the kitchen was closing. He made it sound like he was doing us a favor...but we had a confirmed reservation!! The food was bland at best, and we will NOT be coming back here. Too many other good places to eat in Chelsea. Even the all-night diners are better than this.
Carolina is the best waitress ever... had another friend over from the uk and she made them feel so special. thanks so much and to whomever this girl deserves a raise or a share in your restaurant.
