Manager and waiter where underwhelming.
Ironically the food and the support staff was great!
Waiter was far from attentive,, totally head not in the game. Literally was ready to walk. You know. Wave down any waiter to help is close out our tab.
Manager. Shady from the start, never checked in at the table, walked by him when we left, Too busy to say good evening or thank you....yea sorry excuse us for walking thru your conversation with the bar tender.
Umm I think something has changed at the restaurant not sure we are about to return anytime soon.
Great food and tasty drinks. Beautiful location on the water, with outdoor seating in nice weather and views through big windows when you can’t sit outside.
Mentioned I am Celiac/have a gluten allergy and they took it upon themselves to bring out every meal from the manager. Always a good sign. Didn’t get sick. So thankful for people that actually care and don’t see gluten free as a fad.
Service was good and food too. A bit loud but a great experience none the less.
Deafening sound and we are normally the loud people. Prices a touch high for the creativity/quality.
First time there! First trip to Boston. Drinks were good!
My meal was not what I ordered and they took it away and brought new dish. Waiter was ok, nice enough but not really friendly.
Good food and service. Modest prices. Amazing views. More local fish options would be nice.
We were late for our reservations due to traffic from a car accident and they were very accommodating and understanding of the situation. The food was smacking (especially the nachos) and I appreciated how the dessert said happy birthday on it!
Very tasty food and nice setting. Good value for portion size and restaurant situation
I was heading to concert at BLue Hills so made a reservation here for the convenience. We were seated at one of the high top tables in the bar area. The drinks were good, as was the service. The food was just average, and on the pricey side for what it was. 2 tacos with rice and beans for $20. The grilled chicken was definite pre-prepped and reheated. The biggest problem was how crowded the bar area was. It was so loud we could barely talk to each other and people kept bumping into our table. It was just 2 of us at a table for 4 so we could sit away from the crowds but with 3 or 4 at the table, it would have been really unpleasant. I might go back if I was on my way to another show, but would not go out of my way to eat there.
Walking distance to two different convention centers and the Blue Hills Pavillion (concert venue) this place is a must for Mexican dining, incredible tequila list, and bar scene with a beautiful view of Boston Harbor!
Would not recommend. We go out to eat a lot and this was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve EVER had. We waited for our server for 20 min before we asked the bartender if someone was going to come by especially since the people behind us who came in after us ordered and got chips & salsa already. Finally a server came by and never brought us chips & salsa. We had to ask 3 different people for it and didn’t end up getting it until AFTER our food came out. Food was OK but came out cold and not worth the terrible service. This was a Sunday with plenty of wait staff so business was not an excuse.
Service was very nice and polite. My meal came out not hot enough. Too much sauce. The other two guests said the meal was ok. It's an ok restaurant, chips and dip are top notch, worth going for drinks and chips dip and guac.
Server was great! Drinks were good but spent too much money!
Had a great time with my adult daughter prior to a concert. The server was fabulous with great recommendations. The food was fresh and delicious. They also make a great margarita that is worth the $13 price tag. We would definitely go back.
This Temezcal has a great view of Boston Harbor. I recommend the red sangria and the fajitas or the tacos mechados. Both excellent choices.
My favourite place to eat and drink in Boston! I highly advise making a reservation if you’re going for dinner.
Restaurant is great. Just find the acoustics there to be bad. Had to scream to each other and the restaurant was barely full when we arrived. Got worse as the crowd started coming in.
Good food. Nice view of the water. Service was a little slow but fortunately we were in no rush.
Always a great meal here and good value! They were very accommodating to my food allergies and brought out house made yuca chips since I can't have corn. Loved the guac, steak was excellent and my margarita was delicious- we will be back!
Loved LOVED sitting on the deck overlooking the waterfront! Food excellent, service fun and friendly. All good!!
Dinner before a concert
Had a fabulous meal out on the deck!
With a view this great the food didn’t have to be as delicious as it was. Queso with chorizo, guacamole, fish tacos, chiles rellenos were all outstanding. Great drink list too.
Great waiter, yummy food, very helpful and accommodating with meal requests & drinks!
We went to Temazcal for the first time before a concert at the Blue Hills Pavillion. We were fortunate to sit outside on a beautiful summer evening.
Overall, I liked it. It's a fun place and the service was friendly. The portions are big and we ordered too much food. The entrees are on the expensive side for a Mexican restaurant. I really liked the tuna lettuce wrap tacos. Next time I might just order that and an appetizer or salad, and of course a margarita.
I would definitely recommend it!
We always love Temazcal. Excellent in all respects.
Great modern take on Mexican food and drink. Very popular place on the waterfront near Blue Hills Bank Pavilion concert venue.
Took at least 5 minutes to be given water or chips but I didn’t mind because I was catching up with my friend. They realized themselves and apologized right when they realized. Food was excellent. My order of chicken tacos was put in as nachos, so I had to wait for my tacos while my friend ate her fajitas, but I didn’t really care. The food was good, the service was otherwise good, the drinks were strong. I would return. Enjoyed sitting on the water.
Very convenient for pre-concert Bank of Boston Pavillion meal.
Ordered the Guac app to start - always delicious. We both ordered tacos as the entree - skirt steak for me, salmon for him. Both were disappointing. The steak was bland and the corn tortillas added nothing. The salmon tacos tasted good but were wrapped in lettuce and dell apart almost immediately. The table for 2 was also very cramped considering we ordered a normal amount of food. View made up for most of it.
Food was great! Would definitely go again. Great ocean view
We arrived early and were seated right away at a nice outside table as requested. great Harbor view for a Preshow dinner. Lively bar scene inside but we were able to enjoy our meal and talk quite easily. Our Waiter was fast and friendly. The lobster guacamole was a nice change of pace and our meals were delicious. my wife had the Swordfish and I had the mixed grill. For desert I tried the Flan which was rich and delicious. My wife had the brownie with ice cream and she approved with 2 thumbs up!
It was nice to arrive at a restaurant where having a reservation actually means something. Immediately seated at window table in lounge area. Only drawback was the traffic through the bar area made us feel like we'd have other patrons joining us at our table. Manager did address the issue quietly and professionally. Much appreciated!
On vacation and we wanted a good Mexican restaurant. We ordered the quack mole which was delicious, very fresh. Also had the sangria blanco, per waiter’s suggestion. We ordered calamari which was excellent as well. My husband ordered the scallops which he said were on the sweet side but he said they were cooked really well. I got the chicken enchiladas and they were really good.
Overall very good! We got drinks, appetizers and an entree here! The service was great, the drinks were amazing, and the portions were good sizes. My only criticism would be that it is very loud in this restaurant.
Great food and drinks and spectacular view!
Had a reservation we made weeks in advance for a pre-concert dinner out with my husband. Was sat int eh busy bar area, where bar patrons were hovering near us the entire meal. Bas was so packed, you couldn't hold a conversation. Given that we had the reservation, outside seating should have been offered. Asked for no rajas in the quesadilla, and it had rajas in it that appeared to be partially scraped out. Wasn't impressed
Food was very good and service was ok. It was extremely busy and we were glad to have reservations. Good tequila choices too.
