Teikoku Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Not a single person asked how our food was or how how experience was the entire time we were in the restaurant. We paid, and eventually walked out the door without anyone saying good night or "hope you had a good meal.". The food was not what we expected. The sushi tasted smoky, was different from any other sushi we had ever eaten in that regard, and was not what we expected. We were not happy with our meals or our overall experience and will not be back.
I mostly like this place: atmosphere and food but this time they put us in the backroom even though we had a reservation. I don't like it back there, absolutely no atmosphere and expressed this to the hostess. She could have cared less. Said it was bc all the tables were for 4 people and we were 2. Families and loud kids back there in addition to loudness and boring room. No thanks. We went to bonefish. Much better. Next time, I will call to confirm WHERE we are sitting. Ugh!
This was our second visit to Teikoku. We loved the food and atmosphere both times. Though the restaurant was busy, the noise level did not prevent us from having a nice conversation with our friends. It has a diverse menu so it would be easy to go again and try other items.
This was an amazing night! Thanks to our waitress Heather who was on top of everything, had great recommendations, and represented Teikoku well! The food was great, the table we had was nice and they had the flowers I ordered ahead of time at the table all ready to go. Highly recommended! We had the Pad Thai and the spicy rice, switching out for broccoli (thanks again heather!) as well as the fried gyozas. The cocktails were all amazing.
Everything was delicious, lovely outdoor seating! While they do not have a kids menu, our server was able to make great kid-friendly recommendations (chicken tempura with rice and veggies, as well as the chicken satay!)- and they did not disappoint! Our 5 and 8 year old boys enjoyed their dinner very much!
Excited to return with or without the kiddos! Well done.
My wife and I took my parents out for my Dad's birthday and used the Costco gift cards (2 $50 gift cards for $79.99) Excellent hand crafted cocktails and excellent seasonal cuisine with strong menu staples. Although it is a little noisy on the weekends. I would love if they utilize the outdoor patio for dining or bar option. It would have been a lovely night to dine al fresco.
Teikoku is a long time favorite. The menu is creative and flavorful and dishes are always prepared consistently from one visit to the next. We had the tasty avocado salad and sushi (California King Crab Roll) for appetizers. Our entrees were the delicious Chicken Red Curry and the flavorful Spicy Basil Fried Rice with Jumbo Lump Crab. Both with freshly cooked vegetables.
Service is always spot on. And the hosting staff does an excellent job of getting you the table you specify. Looking forward to our next visit.
My dining partner had a beautiful vichyssoise of some sort (I think from specials list) and loved it. My sashimi - toro, hamachi, ebi - was great. I always forget how large the avocado salad is - enough to share. My Lychee Mohito was just okay. I've been to Teikoku many times and always enjoy it, but I have to say our server was the best ever. So attentive and genuine.
We have love Teikoku! (Except for the lobster dumplings, they didn't taste like lobster, and it was suppose to chardonnay cream sauce.. nothing even close) but everything else was perfect! Our server Derek was fantastic!! He was super friendly, and attentive
This is a neighborhood gem! Our meals were delicious, prepared to our specifications, and presented in an appealing manner! Amy, the hostess, was welcoming and efficient! Derek, our waiter, was friendly, knowledgeable, and approachable.
We will definitely return!
The food was good, but still something of a letdown. It looked great on the menu, which is why we went. Servings were on the small side, particularly my ceviche. Our server really rushed us, for no apparent reason. The place was not full. I think one of the other people enjoyed the meal much more than I did, which is why I gave it a "very good."
Great restaurant, fun atmosphere and fun cocktails. Food was great although the lobster was over cooked so there's room for improvement there but everything else was good. We had wings (really delicious!), short rib (very tender), edamame, chicken lettuce wraps and the specialty of the night which was lobster 3 ways. The mashed potatoes with the lobster was great but the tails were a bit overcooked.
