Great dining experience!
Food was fine for most guests. Salad meat was overcooked. Service was nice but slow. Refills were slow in coming. Very few customers in the restaurant so not sure why this would happen. Nothing really poor in nature, just not good to exceptional when you are paying 24 dollars for a burger.
Not a bad place for the family
I first visited this chain of restaurants in Washington DC and whenever I see one now I have to book and always have a lovely time. The food is always great the staff are always lovely. If there’s one criticism I have it’s that the waiter who introduced himself wasn’t the one we had all the way through. We had a lad to start with who brought us drinks and took our order, then a girl brought the food out and asked if I wanted another drink, and after a little too long the first lad brought it out. It wasn’t something that spoilt the evening of anything just something that threw me. Overall I’d definitely recommend Ted’s Montana NYC
The food was not the best. A little dry and bland. Chicken fingers were very hard.
All good. Great service and tasty food.
The staff was so friendly and welcoming the g guy oof was good
We love their fish sandwich and the kale salad. Both are the absolute best!!!!
best nachos in town. great service. only slight downside was it was cold but in terms of the old school throughback vibe worth putting up with this. definitely recommend. we will be back wrapped up.
Overall a decent place. Service could be better. Place was pretty empty but service was not up to where it should be. Food was decent, had to send one steak back to be cooked to the requested medium. Good kids menu and family friendly.
Very disappointing-I ordered special fish and sweet potato and broccoli sides- everything was cold- I have eaten lunch here before and was much better- they obviously need new management- would not recommend- Capital Grille down the block much better
Great food, great service, great experience. We'll be back. 👍👍👍
Excellent service, we were there on a Wednesday and was very quiet. Food was good (dessert in particular, which was recommended by the waiter). Decent value considering the location
I enjoyed my experience but my server Melissa I believe was her name wasn't patient and proceeded to continuously ask me if I was ready to go after still enjoying my food and drinks. She came back every 5 minutes and it was distracting. I felt rushed and left soon after. I did not appreciate that, not one bit.
Our server was awesome and we were seated almost immediately with a reservation. Unfortunately, at 7 PM they were already out of the fish special and even out of the basic chicken dish that was on the menu. The food was tasty and plentiful and the price is very affordable. We will go back. It was great for my teenage son.
Food was not good and had to wait a long time for it. I would not go back nor recommend it.
The hosts greeted us warmly although we were early and seated us at a lovely cozy booth but that is where the excellence ended. The soup of the day was unavailable at 5pm and the clam chowder was tasteless and as thick as concrete. By 5:30 the noise level was unacceptable and the restaurant was only 3/4 full. The hot coffee we requested to warm up was served tepid and the. Refill we asked for to heat things up was over long in coming and turned out to be equally cool. Our waitress was sweet but obviously inexperienced. The bison short rib was tender and flavorful but accompanied by sauce that lacked any distinguishing character. The bison burger was properly cooked but accompanied by limp French fries that were cold and not crisp. Also onion was put on the burger and it was not supposed to be included. All in all very unsatisfactory and we won’t be returning. They do have a gluten free menu and are careful to advise you if you let them know you have concerns.
We got to the restaurant early and were seated right away. The waitress Mel took our drink order and then came back with our drinks and took our appetizer and dinner order. The appetizer came out and two minutes later our waitress comes over and says our food is ready. So we said okay and received that as well. I ordered my burger medium and got well done. My husband ordered a veggie burger. Mine was overcooked and tasted blah and my husband said the veggie burger was bland as well. An hour later our waitress comes back and we ordered dessert. Dessert took over 20 minutes (a brownie with ice cream on top). Suffice it to say we left late and got lucky our show was running behind as well. Overall the food was fair, the service okay, but we will not be going back. I expected better.
That sat us immediately upon check in arriving at our reservation time. The waitress gave us suggestions and accommodated our need to make an 8p show by getting our order in. A nice, unrushed meal. The bone in bison steak special was excellent! Crab dip app also! Both recommendations from the waitress!
Valentines dinner with my wife before a show. I searched google maps to find a restaurant near Radio City. The info and reviews and pictures convinced me to try it. I loved the art-deco style design and the old school bison head on the wall. We shared the homemade potato chips and ranch dip. Great. And the food was good as well. I had the bison filet with spiced coffee rub. Very good except that they put their traditional lemon butter on top of it. Wish I knew ahead because I would have told them to hold that because it didn’t pair well. I had a side of fries that were unfortunately killed. Over fried. The wife had the beef filet and baked potato. No complaints. Overall I would still go back as they had other menu items that I would love to try. A nice place and it’s close to all the action. And for Valentine’s Day it wasn’t really crowded.
I've been to Ted's several times and it never disappoints. Amazing food and great service.
Service was very slow. Took us a long time to get servers attention and the food took even longer. The restaurant wasn’t even packed.
Mel our waitress was exceptional, excellent service, suggestions and very pleasant. A credit to your staff.
Mel was an excellent server. We arrived earlier than expected and the restaurant was very accommodating. The food was delicious. We were steps away from Radio City Music Hall where we were headed to after dinner. The restaurant got packed 2 hours prior to showtime. The servers and bussers were working hard. Drinks were slow from the bar but I think it was because there were so many orders. We will definitely be back!
Good for pre-theater. Reasonable prices and great food! Service was slow and door was completely mis-managed. Kitchen was slowwwwww.
Perfectly cooked and seasoned Bison Burger, great fries. Bison nachos were good but not great.
Too cold inside
We ate here twice during a recent trip to NY. Following good reviews we gave it a try and were not disappointed. Within easy reach of Times sq, Central Park, and many of the cities hotels the location is ideal. We booked both times and glad we did as it was busy (Sat night & Thur night). The menu had a good selection, the Bison Nachos to start with are a must! Serving all there burgers in either Bison or Beef, I had Bison both times and my wife had beef, the burgers were exceptional, portions were good and everything was cooked to perfection - the fires and Onion rings were delicious!
We had our 4 year old son with us and he was well catered for along with the place being family friendly (which not all places to eat in NYC are). The bill both times for the 3 of us was around $100, not cheap but nothing in NYC is - Highly recommend and will return next time we are in the city.
Decent lunch spot for casual meal or low key business lunch
Used to have a Ted’s Montana Grill in my town but it went out of business... when my family saw there was a location in NYC we booked a reservation right away for the same day we would be in town for a Broadway show. Our show ended a bit earlier than anticipated and TMG was able to seat us for dinner ahead of our scheduled reservation (much appreciated bc we were hungry lol). Our server was super friendly and on top of everything. Food was amazing, as always. It was super quiet, not many people, but it was a Sunday night. The location is great too, never realized how central it was to so many of the tourist sites around Times Square/Broadway. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good meal.
We celebrated my cousin Christina’s birthday here at it was really quiet and lovely. My mom loved her chili and hamburger and fries. My cousin and I both had the Chicken Caesar salad and it was very good. My cousin’s fiancée enjoyed his meal too. We celebrated with a dessert (Brownie sundae) for my cousin and they enjoyed it! The female waitress was very nice and accommodating. Nice ambiance.
Ate at bar. Very attentive staff
From the moment we entered until we left was a great experience. Asked for a booth and with a little rearranging that’s what got. Our server was very attentive, we ordered drinks while looked at the menu. Our food was fantastic and steaks cooked perfectly. (my wife is very fussy with her steak)
Restaurant ambience was great.
Took the family for dinner (9 of us) after Radio City. We were seated immediately, served quickly and accommodated for a birthday that was in our group. The waitress was good with the kids & also helpful with the adult beverage selections. Definitely recommend for a reasonably priced out in NYC
Ted’s has been a personal favorite for years, and this last dining experience was the one and only time where the service was off—significant wait for a reserved table, an inattentive waitress who made numerous mistakes with the food order, am usually long wait for the food, and an unusually long wait for the bill. The restaurant was not busier than usual, so I was surprised about the dip in service quality. That being said, the food was still very good, and Ted’s remains a go-to place.
The food was delicious. Everyone in our party, kids included, loved their meals. The burgers were succulent and the salmon was cooked perfectly! They also have a great selection of drinks!
Fantastic meal as always! Jared, our server, was outstanding, just as he was on our last four visits!
Our party of ten was given a private room which was perfect with three young children in our group. Our server was outstanding.
