Ted's Montana Grill - NYC
We had a big group and this was a great place. A little surprised on how early it closed on a Saturday night, (10 PM) however, they were nice enough to say, you can sit and hang out, no problem. We had a group of 7 and everyone was pleased. We had one person with Celiac disease, which is why we chose this restaurant and they did not disappoint! Very attentive to the issues of cross contamination and we had no problem. Great food and excellent service from Quinn!
The burgers were excellent. The pickle slices were fantastic!
We always enjoy this place, but the A/C was out and it was HOT during our meal. We all still had a great time but would have expected a tiny discount or something for putting up with the discomfort. Our waiter, Lincoln, was fabulous!
Overall I had a good experience at Ted’s Montana Grill. Positives, the decor with the bison on the wall and the booths was a relaxing cozy experience. My Bison pot roast was tender juicy and flavorful. The waitress was attentive and very accommodating. The negatives the strawberry shortcake had no cake. It was a thin wafer covered with a pint of ice cream and strawberries. I recommend this restaurant just skip the shortcake.
We had a great experience at Ted's! Had a late dinner there on Saturday night and the food was delicious. Service was even better. This seems like a great spot for families or large groups before/after a show.
I had lunch with a friend here after walking by the place for months and having my mouth water from the cooking smells.
Our server was very attentive and professional and the food was mostly delicious. We both had bison burgers and were very happy with them but the sweet potato fries left a lot to be desired. They were mushy and flavorless.
Should dim the lights at night. Update background music. Use clean table clothes, as our table had stains. Food was worth the value and very good.
Love the place! Lealand is so attentive and accommodating.
We went there for gluten free menu. Unfortunately they brought out a burger on regular bun. It was apparent the waitress had no idea that if she just switched out the bun the burger still is not gluten free. At that point we had no faith in the staff to provide a gluten free meal and couldn’t take the chance of being sick since we were seeing a show. It was extremely disappointing.
Great bison burgers. Great music.
Excellent ambience and quality food + value for money. The bison burgers are a must try. Very attentive waitress and authentic american diner experience. Recommended!
My sister's and were had.an enjoying evening seeing the play sistas and i made a reservation with ted and it was unbelievable the service was excellent and the food was outstanding. The waiter was outstanding with patience with a smile.
The Atmosphere was so comfortable we can communicate about the play and we wasn't harrassed by the waiter every few minutes .
I am from Atlanta, GA where Ted Turner founded the Ted's Montana Grill. We frequent the restaurants around Metro Atlanta. We were astounded to learn the Ted's Montana Grill in NYC has been there for 11 years. We have passed it MANY times during our trips to NYC, but never knew it existed. We will now make it part of every trip! Being from the south, we love the concept, the food, and especially the fact you can order SWEET TEA!
Looked for a place close to Radio City Music Hall and found Ted's! The food was great and service as equally good. Prices were NY fair and we enjoyed dinner before the concert. I Highly recommend!
Food and drinks were good. Would go back.
Service was quick even though it was busy and packed. Food was excellent and portions were large. Deserts were what you would expect off a regular menu even though we were taking advantage of restaurant week special. Would recommend and would return as a matter of fact we are going to book a reservation for the Atlanta location for a planned fall trip
We arrived early for our reservation and were immediately seated. Our server, Quinn, did not rush us, allowing a choice of beverages, then asking for appetizers and meal, and allowing a nice amount of time between appetizer and main course. We were not rushed at all.
The Bison nachos were exceptionally good, as were the burgers.
We will be back the next time we are attending an event at Radio City
We've eaten here several times before when going to a show - always had a great meal and service. This time it was a mid-week visit 5:30 reservation for two. We arrived a bit early but the place was empty except for the bar area. Angie was our server and made some great recommendations for us! One shared appetizer, 2 drinks and dinner came to about $60.00/pp plus the tip. The beef filet was cooked perfectly and the meat on the bison short ribs fell off the bone! No dessert this time. A very pleasant experience - again!
Met business associates at Ted's. A classic American menu with sandwiches, salads, burgers and entrees. Very happy that everyone in the group was able to find something they enjoyed. Good location for mid-town Manhattan.
We have eaten dinner at Ted's many times. The dining experience every time was excellent.
I went for dinner with a friend for restaurant week. So the meal was definitely on par with what I would consider a good deal. We ordered the Caesar salad which was good. I could have used a little more dressing but, it definitely was abundant enough in size. Not sure what type of greens were used but it was pretty healthy. There was a huge difference in the cut of meat that I received versus my companion which I thought was strange. She doesn't eat a lot so she didn't complain. The meat could have been more flavorful and it was kind of tough. The food, overall was just ok and it wasn't really piping hot when It came to the table. The dessert was decadent enough. We had the Brownie with Kahlua and topped with ice cream. We both enjoyed the meals.
I can't really say that I would be making a planned trip back but if I am in the neighborhood, I'll stop by for happy hour.
The service was outstanding supported by an extremely charming waitress. We, a party of five, had different dishes. All arrived within the required cooking time at once. Every dish was superb. So was the red wine. Initially it was a little loud due to a happy hour party. But we were able to get a table at the other end of the room.
To sum it up. We had a very pleasant stay at Ted's Montana Grill. We will be back!
Very satisfied. i will definitely return. i've taken family and several colleagues and everyone was happy with the choice
My Co-worker and I had a blast,, drinks were awesome my steak was delicious,, my Co-worker loves her drinks and her meal,, all together we loved it and will be back 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
We came from sightseeing and walking miles to discover this jewel. Although we were dressed casually we felt comfortable and were greeted warmly. The server was friendly and attentive but not overly so. The food was fresh and delicious. Bison meatloaf highly recommended if you have a hearty appetite.
Food and service was awesome, Max was very attentive and friendly, will definitely be back during our next trip to NYC!
Everything was good. Restaurant week bison steaks didn’t blow us away. This place is best for business lunch
Ambiance was very nice and quiet, compared to the outside hustle and bustle. The food was very good.
Delicious food. Should be more busy but the refurbishment in the area may stop walks-ins - definitely look for it though as it’s worth a visit. The bison steak was the best steak ever according to our son!!
Last lunch in New York before heading home.
Very friendly and attentive server.
Good food and great value for money.
Bison burger was amazing.
Would highly recommend.
Don’t be put off by outside as building undergoing renovation. Shame we found this restaurant on our last day.
This isn't Michelin star dining, but is excellent in its category. Plenty of space between tables so that you aren't listening to your neighbours' conversation. The staff know the menu well and are helpful, without pushing extra sales excessively. The kitchen cooks to the customer's order, including blue steaks, that are tender and flavoursome. If you want to try American food in New York, this is the place to go.
Bison steak and onion ring were very good!! All of us got the prefix menu and we were so happy with the selection.
They are know for thier Bison meat. We had the Bison strup steak which was outstanding. Highly recommend this place.
Was noisier than normal during mealtime there was a large group with 4-5 kids unattended not well behaved in a manner befitting a place of nature. And later on a smaller group of people mostly comprised of kids and fewer adults mostly as chaperones more well behaved but still childish. This is not a place for groups of minors that are not properly disciplined by their so-called parents.
The food was great. My friends and I really enjoyed the atmosphere, food, ambience, just everything. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Our hostess Mel was exceptional.
My first time at Ted's Montana Grill and I would definitely go back. Service was great, ambiance was very nice, place was clean. The food was ok, priced fairly, decent portion. I was happy to have a nice meal in NYC before a show and it didn't break the bank. Got crowded around 7 but we had a booth, so it was plenty private for us. I sincerely enjoyed.
Great dining experience!
I ordered a bison buffer medium rare and it was well done. I had to ask to have it remade and my husband was finished eating when I got my food. It was good when it was made correctly but I would’ve liked to have eaten with my husband.
Great food great music.
