Ted's Montana Grill - NYC
Great find. Perfect for a Pre-Theater lunch ! Melissa was very nice, friendly & attentive to our needs.
Food was really good and less expensive than the three other steak places on the same street. Service was great and noise level was perfect for conversation.
I enjoy the burgers at Ted’s. They are very yummy!!
The waiter was pleasant, extremely helpful, never overbearing and always laughed at our dumb jokes. The food was excellent even for those who can't have beef and the dessert was phenomenal. Glad I left room for it. Will definitely be back.
As many times as my husband and I have been to NYC we had never heard of Teds Montana. There were 6 in our party and we saw a broadway show on 52nd. So I decided to pick this resident for an early dinner after the show. We all sat at the bar when we got there had a drink and the bartender was a great guy. He told us this was one of many Ted Turners restaurants. Ahh who knew? Dinner was very good. All but one got bison. Bison steaks, bison short ribs. We all thought it tasted great.
It was not busy being we were there so early but the service was slow. Not sure why.
It was an enjoyable dinner with friends.
We had a group dinner from baby to Adult, about 14 people. Manager, Heidi was very organized for preparation to the end. We had to change the number of guest in last minute, very complicated payment since they are from overseas, but they took care of very quickly. Food was perfect for our group, good for kids, and Adult, too. Very friendly staff, I do recommend this place.
Service was slow even though it was not crowded. Food was just ok.
I have eaten at Ted's in NYC many times, and other locations as well.
My experience on 2/16 was not what I was used to . the food was good but the service was poor.
There were several mistakes and this caused my experience to be poor.
The one positive thing is that i will still visit the NYC location.
I had the bison meatloaf on the waiter's suggestion. It had a nice gravy and was very good for meatloaf, but nothing too fancy.
The waiter was a little slow because he was dealing with a big party at a different table, but other than that the service was fine.
Good food and good people! Must haves: bison nachos and onion rings
We had the happy hour menu of beef and bison burgers. It is for a small appetite ansigt suites us fine! It tastes so good, however, that I ordered a second burger!
Great value for money. Easy for me to recommend to all ny Danish friends who happen to be in NYC.
Nice and clean quiet spot up the block from Radio City Music Hall. Nice ambiance but did expect burgers to be bigger otherwise very good burger
This place is so wonderfully decorated and the sever was so sweet
Best steak I have had in a long time. I'm planning to go there again.
Prompt service. Our waiter, Alex, was wonderful. After two sizes of wine, my husband had the 9 oz, I had 6 oz,
he had the bison pot roast which was so tender, no knife was needed. I had the steak salad. A large bowl with sliced steak on top and crispy fried onions. Yum!
Very convenient to Radio city music hall as well.
Definitely will return
First time there, did not know what to expect. Service was extremely friendly and attentive. Ted's Bison 8oz Filet was delicious, cooked perfectly. Décor attractive. Conversation at the table was great, low noise volume. Definitely will return and definitely recommend.
Fun meal for my sons’ (twins) 18th birthday! Great food, lots of variety on menu.
Our experience Stunk! With a capital S!! Had been here before and liked the restaurant. This time they had a pipe burst due to the cold. They had people in the restaurant in the back near the restrooms with the ceiling opened up trying to fix the problem. Freezing air was pouring in. Restrooms were an ice box. Not only did they fail to warn us about this when we arrived but the fools sat all of the guests in the back corner right where they were doing the work even though the rest of the place was empty. We had to ask the waitress what was going on and she told us. We told her to tell the manager we were freezing. We never saw the manager. They did not come out and apologize or say anything even though there were only about 6 tables seated. Very disappointed in the experience, and really poor customer service. Food was just OK. Yeast rolls were like eating a napkin. Side dishes were cold. This place is so over priced. For the money there are so many better options that we have been to around the city. We will never go back or recommend this place to anyone. I don't know how they are still in business. Ted's Montana stinks!!
I like the restaurant because it is a quiet oasis in an otherwise crazy area
Went to try the bison steak but the menu they display online for restaurant week was different from the one I received at the restaurant. I ended up ordering off the menu. The bison steak was good but seemed more fatty than it should've been.
Great spot! Great food!
Lovely place to dine. We enjoyed the bison steaks--very tender and flavorful. The huge apple pecan crisp dessert was delicious, but needs to be shared.
We went for lunch during restaurant week. Service was excellent, food very good, atmosphere friendly. I would definitely go back.
Bison steak is amazing and atmosphere quiet and relaxed.
Excellent service and refreshingly not noisy. Lunch menu very varied.
Service was meh, but tables were comfy and the menu was good. Food was nothing special, but this place served its purpose without waiting for a table or feeling too "Times Square Touristy"
The bison pot roast melts in your mouth, delicious!
Good food and great service! Maggie was an awesome waitress!!!
Me and my daughter came in for a quick dinner before heading to our Broadway show. It would’ve been a nice sit down dinner for me and her however, they were having happy hour at the bar and it was extremely loud. Kylie was our waitress. She checked in on us once after our food was served. I had to flag another waitress down to get our bill and at this time, there wasn’t a lot of patrons in the dining area.
Great food and outstanding attentive service.
I went there for a burger. Worst bison burger I've ever had. grizzly. Too bad because service and ambiance were nice-- but I won't return and don't recommend
I asked where the buffalo was coming from and our server said “Albania” She’s funny good sense of humor.
A nice & quiet 1st anniversary with my love.. first time for her to taste a “bison”.. but not the buffalo 😉 we’ll be back🤙🏽

Great steakhouse option that is a better value with as good or better dishes than some nearby alternatives. Great wines by the glass options with relatively good prices as well.
Very good bison burger, good service. Nice and quiet restaurant.
Unfortunately the bar was closed 20 minutes before closing time and I couldn’t have a whiskey.
Asked if the bison chili was gluten free, the answer was no. No offer of the gluten free menu.
Bison ribeye had quite a bit of fat on it. Mashed potatoes were very dry.
When I got to Ted's, they didn't have the reservation that I made through OpenTable, but they seated me at the bar for dinner. So they did try to rectify as best they could. I had the pot roast which was pretty damned good (the side carrots were a little watery, but that doesn't discount the quality of the pot roast and mashed potatoes). So all-in-all, not a bad meal, though the fact that my reservation was messed up left me a little uneasy. So yes, by all means, give Ted's a try (the steak that the guy next to me was having looked delicious and he definitely seemed to be enjoying it).
The food was good and reasonably priced for the theater district.
Ottima la carne di bisonte, servizio veloce, posto carino da consigliare
There was no filet or strip steaks available. This is a beef/bison restaurant right.
