First ... bar staff was mediocre at best ... limited service

Dinner Sever was non existent . Meals all taken to the table by manager .. no offer of water nor none given ... the specials given to us were not the same as the list another waiter gave to table next to us ...

Will not return ....

the food was average. Also the location is very hard to find as it is buried under scaffold and wood fencing. Need to be more visible. As a result, the place was empty on a saturday night.

We came here for our anniversary and booked thru open table . We choose this place , because we were attending a show at radio city music hall . I put down on the “ special occasion “ area - that we were celebrating our anniversary. I don’t think they even looked at the reservation.
Long story short , we asked the waiter to recommend our dishes . Eeeek.. over cooked & tasteless . I feel bad with this review , but I also take open table reviews with truth . Our drinks were way to strong & during the whole experience our table wasn’t cleared . In fact I started piling up our dishes and they weren’t removed till the check came . The one thing my husband was completely offended by , was when we asked for the check , the waiter asked us if we were paying separate . 🤦🏻‍♀️ nothing was special for our anniversary as far as service & if I’m being frank !! This is a tourist trap for people who think they are getting this great steak experience.
Save the money and go to a real steak house .

Aside from the 2-dozen paper wrapped straws in cup on my bar side table (not IN the bar), it was very good food. Presentation wasn’t amazing but acceptable. For a steak house, great value. BEST PART: BISON FILET MIGNONETTE. Great happy hour margs - must have.

Really enjoyed this place, food was excellent, our server Alan, was great and we loved the ambiance. Not to mention the price was reasonable. We come to new York about once a month for a night out and Ted's made it a great night. We will be back!

My friends and I are from Florida and went to the Montana Grill for dinner. The place is cozy, people were very nice and helpful, and the food was great. Try the Bison; you will enjoy it.

We had reservations for 12/29 for 5:30 p.m. after a show to see Christmas Spectacular. It had to be one of the coldest days over the Christmas break. We had an infant, and three other children. We had a party of 14. We arrived early, because it was so darn cold, I was afraid of frostbite especially with the infant, who is also special needs. Your staff was amazing. I do not remember the name of the hostess and our waitress that evening, but they went above and beyond. When we got there, they made our table available prior to the reservation, and were very attentive to us, with such a big party! They situated the high chair, so that it did not interfere with other guests and you could get around it easily. The food was excellent! The only thing I would suggest, down the road, is have a few lower calorie food selections, as if you are trying to be conscientious of your caloric intake, this could be disastrous.

We went here prior to a show at Radio City hall. The service was friendly, the ambiance was very warm and inviting. Although the menu is not extensive, there is something for anyone with a range of burgers to steaks (either beef or bison). Everyone enjoyed their meals, even those who ordered fish. The only thing I would steer away from (pun intended) are the side dishes if you can help it. They are likely delicious but at $7 for 2 pieces of broccoli I feel they are overpriced. But what made up for that was the Apple Crisp dessert which was absolutely incredible!

Food was great (steak, burger, dessert) and the waitress was nice and friendly. The only downside was the lady who showed us to our table. She was seriously grumpy and seemed she really didn’t want to be working there. Does the management know? This was late afternoon on last Friday.

Usually pretty good. I work in the neighborhood and come in fairly regularly. It may have just been b/c holiday rush but the staff and kitchen seemed overwhelmed. Waiter was very nice and I don’t fault her. Steaks came out under and overdone.

On our way to Radio City Christmas Spectacular, I searched for a nearby resident knowing that the weather would be frigid and I didn't want to walk around hoping to find a restaurant for my family. I made reservations the day before at the only time that was available for 4 of us -12:15. When we arrived we were seated quickly. Our waiter quickly took our drink order and lunch order soon afterwards. He was very patient explaining some of the choices. Three of us chose beef (vs bison) burgers with fries - standard fare for this group. Each of us enjoyed the burgers very much. My granddaughter had chicken tenders. The potato "chips" on the next table looked as good as our fries tasted. The price was reasonable considering we were in NYC!
Overall, we were very satisfied. I have already recommended this restaurant to friends heading to NYC soon. We will definitely return when the weather here is above 30 degrees!!!

Very juicy burger. Loved the free pickles. Salt and pepper onion rings were great. Lemonade was great. Service was good. We got there 30 minutes before our reservation and got right in.

Booth was busted which made seating very uncomfortable. Waitress made halfhearted attempt to offer a change. Seats that broken should not be in use at all. Bar drinks were average at best save the jalapeño margarita which was very good. Food was very good and service was good.

I can’t give a good review of Ted’s Montana grill. The drinks order was bungled, and the food (which was good) took 45 mins to come out. They were busy but it was pretty poor. I ordered wine halfway through the meal which I expected to arrive quickly and it took an age, by which time half of the entrees had been eaten. I think that “disappointing” best sums up the whole experience. Which is not what you expect for a check that size.

A very busy venue. We had a good waitress who was clearly very very busy.
The food in my opinion was not very tasty and not piping hot as though freshly cooked
But rather as though it had been reheated to be served.
I wouldn’t choose to come here again
