Ted's Bulletin - 14th Street
We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. Whether it’s family dinner, business lunch, or just a Ted’s Tart and coffee to-go, we’re as adaptable as your life is dynamic. Our breakfast menu is available all day because we believe that the most important meal of the day can be had morning, noon or night.
Ted’s Bulletin is a haven for comfort and celebrating the things we have in common: a hunger for good food at great value, a need for a place to be comfortable being ourselves, and a desire to connect with our community. At Ted’s Bulletin, everyone has a table, and every table has a story to tell.
Waitress was distracted and not interested in being there. She left our dirty appetizer plates and drinks at our table for the whole meal and just seemed angry at us the entire night. It was a special birthday event and she definitely spoiled the fun.
There is a great selection of food that is a little different from other places, and more than you can handle. It is a dining experience.
I wish they used nicer bread for the avocado toast, like maybe large-sliced artisan sourdough or something to make it feel worth the $$. The flavor combination otherwise was nice, though.
We had amazing dinner at this place. Our waitress was fabulous. Thank you very much for making our night that special.
I’ve been to this Ted’s for dinner twice. I like the ambiance, and their sides, appetizers and shakes are good. But both times I found the main bland. The first time I got gnocchi with crab, this most recent time lobster pot pie. The lobster pie, which was pricey, had a small amount of actual lobster and not even many veggies, it was mostly a thin tasteless white sauce and a small piece of puff pastry which didn’t even cover the pie. Some wine and/or herbs would have really helped the sauce. Similarly, the gnocchi sauce seemed out of a white sauce can, again with little flavoring. I understand it’s comfort food, but I could have made both dishes better at home. I felt like Silver Diner could have done both better as well.
I may stick to Ted’s for breakfast from now on.
Dewayne did an excellent job!!!
Best comfort food in town. Service was a little slow but I'll be back!
Celebrated my husband’s 55th birthday as he wanted a breakfast celebration. Everything was great!
Can't say enough good things about Ted's Bulletin. I live in Silver Spring so it's a little hike to get there but OH MAN - so worth it. Fabulous menu. Delightful service. Wonderful atmosphere. Delicious food. Always a treat to be there.
While renowned for lines running out the door for weekend breakfast service, Ted's Bulletin can also be a worthwhile destination for dinner. The menu, featuring what could be described as upscale diner food, offers no surprises, but the fare is well-prepared. I certainly enjoyed my bacon-peanut butter burger with fries, even if it was the sort of meal that would leave my cardiologist aghast. (At least I decided to forego the Ted's Tarts and hugely proportioned desserts I have enjoyed during prior visits.)
The dinner menu actually works better for non-meat-eaters than does the breakfast menu, which overly emphasizes meat-egg-potato combinations. One can even order a vegetable, although the fried cauliflower with buffalo sauce we shared as an appetizer, if quite nice, is also not a nutritionist's delight.
For those like me old enough to have seen the black-and-white Andy Griffith episodes continuously shown on the monitors when they were new to network TV, the restaurant's interior is intriguing. It calls to mind the type of dining rooms in the downtown hotels that were imploded across the country during the 1970s and 1980s.
Inattentive Waiter. Repeatedly ordered items that never came. Drinks didn’t come until after appetizers - very good food, indifferent service. Too bad
Always love Ted's Bulletin. Great menu; friendly service among wait staff. (not so much the hostess)
Excellent meal. Our favorite restaurant of all we tried. Everyone was happy—we got chicken fried chicken, burger and grilled cheese/tomato soup, Ted’s tarts and milkshakes. Very cozy atmosphere. Will definitely come back.
Breakfast was awesome. Great service too. Will definitely go back
I went with two friends I hadn’t seen in a while. Wasn’t crowded (but then, it’s the holidays). Great server, great food, and as always, amazing pop tarts.
The portion of the protein was smaller than I expected it to be. It was nice that the steak was cut for me already but I’d prefer to cut it myself. The dish itself was amazing but I think I paid too much for it. The waitress was amazing and kind.
The food was amazing as always! Second time going to Ted's and I enjoyed it as much as I did when I went the first time. The noise was moderate only because they played Christmas music throughout the restaurant (hence the time of year) and does not believe that it was too loud at all. Everything was perfect!
First timers and will definitely return & recommend.
Good food & drinks, not overpriced. Great old school vibe.
I'm a fairly frequent flyer here. The Sloppy Joe is my favorite time and again. And the service is always top notch.
Excellent table service by Dejuan. We had a nice dinner, and the noise level was slightly loud but not too bad. Nice selection of comfort food. Sunday evening is wide open after the brunch crowd departs.
Parking was not easy. Desserts were really good.
Fantástico . El menú de niños muy recomendable. La relación calidad precio es muy buena . La hamburguesa para niños sobre todo
Great food and atmosphere - slower service than normal.
Great food, server was amazing, wait wasn’t long, overall aesthetic comforting and vintage, would definitely recommend.
Waitress didn’t seem super friendly or excited to be there but the food was great and it’s a cute spot to grab a bite if you’re in the area!
They must have had a bad day or something. All 3 orders can put incorrect with missing or completely incorrect items. Had to wait 10 minutes for food items to be fixed. Waiter offered no discount, free dessert, etc. for inconvenience

Delicious as always!
Ted's Bulletin was recommended by a friend. I was meeting a long time friend in town on business. We were catching up on our past. It was a comfortable place for a conversation with very good food. I was not able to eat all of my order and it made for a delicious lunch the next day. I would recommend Ted's to others.
It wasn’t the best experience! And we weren’t the only ones. I had to wait for my second to show up before they gave us a table, but we did have a reservation. I understood this for the most part but then a few ladies who also had a reservation had been waiting for 45 minutes and got very upset and asked for the manager but they didn’t find the manager for them. So then I realized that this was probably because they were seating too many people without reservations too close to ours, which isn’t fair! The food was very good but the service was rude, especially when my friend explained that she was allergic to sesame seeds and the bun unfortunately was covered in them. She asked the man who brought the food if they had any other bread. He said no hastily and walked away, even though the lady next to us was eating a sandwich on different bread. And then when we finally found our waitress to solve the problem, the same man had to run the sandwich on DIFFERENT bread to our table. Yikes. Not the best and others definitely agreed. Needs some work and some more experienced, kind customer service workers.
I really wanted to love this place but the server kept forgetting my order and then when I finally received my steak frites the steak was not seasoned at all. I wanted to try the candied bacon and he literally forgot it...twice. The server tried to make up for it by giving me the bacon and some pop tarts free (both were delicious by the way), but overall I doubt I'll be back.
Great! Had the fried chicken and loved it.
Very nice spot near our theater
We love coming here for an early dinner when we can. Always delicious!
The best, as always!
Both the food and service were terrible. I’ve been here before for breakfast, and this was my first time for dinner. After this visit, it will be my last. The service was horrendous, had a reservation but still ended up waiting for a table. The servers were confused. We waited about 30 minutes to put in our drink orders, and there were multiple issues with our ordered food. They forgot to place our entree orders, and there was mass confusion regarding our ordered appetizers. Just a mess. I wouldn’t recommend this place outside of a VERY quick bite for coffee and maybe breakfast. At the bar.
Loved the atmosphere. Server was great and food was soooo good!!
Great food! Great place!
We’d been recommended to try the tarts here while on vacation. We ended up eating (and enjoying!) much more. The boozy milkshakes were a hit with my husband and me, while our 5yo son raved about the grilled cheese sandwich (he’s a bit of an aficionado).
I have never even dreamed that such a restaurant existed! Adult milkshakes?!?!? Comfort food with a modern twist. I found this restaurant by googling Friday night restaurant kid friendly - it totally fits the bill for that. No one has to compromise!
Ted's has been consistent in quality of food and service. We ha e been to Ted's all over the city, and in Arlington, and we have not been disappointed. Ted's has become a family favorite. The entire staff at Ted's, on 14th St, deserves a round of applause for their professional and service.
