Ted's Bulletin - 14th Street
We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. Whether it’s family dinner, business lunch, or just a Ted’s Tart and coffee to-go, we’re as adaptable as your life is dynamic. Our breakfast menu is available all day because we believe that the most important meal of the day can be had morning, noon or night.
Ted’s Bulletin is a haven for comfort and celebrating the things we have in common: a hunger for good food at great value, a need for a place to be comfortable being ourselves, and a desire to connect with our community. At Ted’s Bulletin, everyone has a table, and every table has a story to tell.
My wife had a crab cake sandwich. She found it inedible and would not eat it. The waiter and manager were sympathetic. Its cost was not added to the bill.
Go for the milkshake... and thats about it, although the cakes at the bakery looked epic. Food was basic and greasy and the coffee could be confused for brown muddy water.
Comfortable with the kids, good food, great service, delicious shakes
They ran out of fish and chips but other than that it was great!
It was great
Gotta try the ted tart (smores was delicious) and a milkshake.
Our waiter was great (Chris?). Food was not as hot as expected but still excellent. The strawberry tart was fabulous.
We had came here earlier in the week to have breakfast .. and we loved it that much that we came back for dinner on a Friday night in the same week! Really good food.. great place for kids too! We’ll be back !
So great with kids! Food and service were great! Awesome happy hour
$4 for an overly sweet pop tart? Find another breakfast place!!
The food was great and service was outstanding. The adult milkshakes are my favorite!
Excellent food, excellent service, and excellent pricing. The deviled eggs are phenomenal. The tater tots are unique. Ther Cobb salad is the best I've ever had. This is my second time. It didn't disappoint. Notable, this time was, again, the excellent service. Finally, I ordered a White Russian milkshake. What a desert!!!
Great Place! Food was delicious and service was excellent! and the sweets shop at the front of the restaurant is very enticing! Stopped there twice, on the way in and the way out! Even took pics! Thanks for a great experience!
Great service, delicious comfort-food with a cool nuevo-retro ambiance.
We enjoyed our food ( charcuterie board, gnocchi with crab meat & Pastrami Reuben) and cocktails. Next time I MUST try the milkshakes and bakery items.
Great food and service!! Try the homemade “tarts”!
Was excited to learn the have free milkshakes with the purchase of an entree M-F 4-7pm.
This is one of the best breakfast/brunch spots in the city! Do not miss it!
Remarkably good food. We ordered the Cobb salad. Without a doubt the best Cobb salad I’ve ever eaten. The fried chicken strips were excellent. The blue cheese was generous. The pickled onions were phenomenal. The dressing an absolute delight. We also ordered deviled eggs. They each come with a small piece of applewood bacon. The eggs were smooth, creamy with just the right touch of paprika. I ordered the southern fried chicken. It came with mashed potatoes and baked carrots. My mother would have been in awe of the dish and taste. My wife ordered crab cakes. Very well prepared with generous portion of crab. They tested like a good crab cake should - like crab. The house made tartar sauce was a little too spicy for both my wife and I.
Our server was, I think, Angela. A petite women with a generous smile and was always there when we needed something.
Finally, the pricing is fair - which for DC is remarkable.
The food was great, but the service was average at best.
The food was wonderful and the service was friendly and responsive!
We enjoyed adult milkshakes and breakfast for dinner. Great service, large portions and good food.
Amazing food was great. Our waitress was very helpful and good with suggestions on items to order.
The food was good. The French fries and crab cake were awesome. They have breakfast all day if that is what you are looking for. Also their menu consists of a variety of foods. Service was good as well.
Great neighborhood eatery. Good food.good decor & friendly, quick service!
Our server Jameel was AMAZING! So fun & ready for anything. Food was great. We are going back so soon!!
We were 16 min late for our reservation so the restaurant cancel it (even tho we had additionally confirmed it day before via email) but they were able to seat us reasonably soon
Service was friendly and food was crowd pleasing!
Wonderful! Everything was delicious. Bakery is fantastic! Please do not change the bakery like the Ballston location. Mini Banana cream pies are the bomb and Celebration cake is a classic.
We had originally gone to the Ted's in Reston, which was newer and nicer inside and had a different menu. We wanted to bring friends and DC is closest to them. The HVAC was also being challenged by the recent heatwave. The actual service was good but we felt rushed and had to ask for drinks and water, etc. Issues that should have been automatic. When we asked, they did appear very fast, but we had to ask. The food was very good but the portions were small and the menu was limited. There was no sharing and there was definitely room for dessert. Also, the bar was limited and asking for anything beyond a drink whose ingredients are in the name (gin-&-tonic, vodka-&-soda) is an iffy proposition at best. I won't say to avoid this restaurant but i will say there are definitely better options for your money.
(As a side note when I called the Ted's on Capitol Hill to make reservations, which was our first choice, the young lady that answered the phone told me I had to make reservations on Open Table. When I informed her Open Table was experiencing difficulties and wouldn't let me make reservations there, she told me I had to make reservations on Open Table. When I again informed her I understood that but Open Table was not working for her location, she hung up on me.)
The food was amazing! We especially loved the pop tarts! Excellent service provided by Dwon! He was delightful!
Excellent Services, great food . Good overall dining experience
I was looking for more of a steakhouse experience and with someone who doesn't like fish at all, so choices were somewhat limited, as was the on tap beer selection, but overall the food was excellent.
We were overall very pleased with our visit. Place was great for kids and adults alike. Food was fantastic!!!! Service left a little to be desired, our server was slow and would disappear for periods of time. We had to ask for drink refills, my Chicken Parm plate was handed to me by the staff rather than being placed on the table and it was a very hot plate so I'm glad I didn't drop it (was wearing white pants too!!), then we waited so long on our bill I was beginning to think it was free. Salads came out with the food so that was strange, maybe that's normal here but I'm accustomed to getting a salad before the food. But like I said the food was absolutely fantastic and we weren't in that big of a rush so they get 4*.
Delicious food and nice restaurant. Jamil was an excellent server. Conscientious and just good at what he does. Very friendly. We enjoyed it immensely. We will be back.
Always a good bet for comfort food and a fun atmosphere.
From the front of the house to the wait staff, everyone was courteous and friendly, attentive to what we need. A good breakfast place in the neighborhood.
Wonderful food and service at the most reasonable prices I’ve found in DC
Our waiter actually saved this for us- the hostess has a terrible attitude- not sure you want her to be the face of your restaurant. The oatmeal whoopee pie was my husbands favorite. He loved that!
Service is consistently lacking. I keep giving Teds another try because my love for lunch and my boyfriend’s love for brunch makes it hard to satisfy us both but Ted’s does a good job. The problem - the wait staff is shockingly slow, inattentive and disengaged.
After dropping food off the runners disappear and the waiters come back half way through the meal even when you’re eating meals that usually imply dropping off condiments like hot sauce with omelets and ketchup with hash browns. The waiters don’t even pass by your table to give you the chance to ask if you need anything. I can count on one hand how many times I’ve given less than a 20% tip and Teds is one of them.
