One of my favorites in DC ,staff is always friendly and attentive
The corn bread is worth the trip. A slightly larger entree menu with a few more options would be really great.
The shrimp scampi pizza paired with a glass of Rosé was amazing.
My first time there for brunch. It was a great vibe. The service was a bit slow but good food and great friends!
Good food and nice atmosphere
Love the brunch food
Always a good stop for a business/client lunch meeting. After clearing our table, our waiter went AWOL for a really long time when we needed to get our check, but otherwise, no complaints!
Our server Randall was AMAZING. The entire time he made sure that we had any food needed and drinks.
I will visit this restaurant again and again.
Nice Sunday brunch spot with both breakfast staples and generous a la carte selections for variety. Can get noisy and has a great DJ for a modern vibe.
Great food, good decor.
Service was awful. We had to flag down our server for everything, she never once voluntarily checked on us. My friend’s steak came out cold. The mushroom risotto was lacking any type of flavor. And the noise level was ridiculous, we had to basically yell at each other to be heard. None of us will be going back.
The food was outstanding. We had the brussel sprouts and cornbread to start. I’m not a huge brussel sprout fan but these were amazing and I could have just sat there eating them all night. I really appreciated all of vegetarian options too. The mushroom risotto was divine. So nice to be able to order that and very thoughtful that it didn’t have chicken stock in it. The drinks were a generous pour too.
The service was good, we didn’t feel ignored or smothered. We sat at a booth which was a little awkward. The seat was set too far away from the table. Overall, a great experience and I highly recommend it. Can’t wait to go back!
The duck confit BLT was terrific! I highly recommend.
I thoroughly enjoyed dinner and the bourbon cocktails. The dessert fell flat, however, and we tried three of the options. The pumpkin ice cream is the real star!
Great spot for a business lunch - would definitely recommend it to others. And be sure to check out the restrooms.
Patrick is a gem!
The food was really good and the drinks were delicious. Our experience was negatively impacted by our server, who was dismissive and spent more time chatting up a larger table while we waited for him to be available. We sat with our card on the table so long that another server came over to ask us if we needed assistance.
I am hoping to return and have a different experience with another sever.
Its a beautiful restaurant. Love the Maggie O'Neil decor. Our server was fantastic, we appreciated his honest recommendations.
Great experience! Went here for a “post valentines day brunch” and it was great food, great atmosphere and the music selection was versatile. Not too loud where you couldn’t have a conversation. And its good bang for your buck with the al la carte menu and additional waffle and omlet stations. Would definitely recommend.
Disappointing at best. Brussel sprouts were good but food mediocre Service totally sucked.
Great service and food! Definitely will be back
We arrived and were seated right away. Our waiters were friendly. They served us bread and our water glasses were always full. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. The Waite staff changed a couple of times during our dining experience so we weren’t sure who to order from at one point but we were able to order quickly in spite of the changes. The drinks were also described accurately and were good. My food was a little cold, but very flavorful and filling. I had the short rib dish, highly recommended. Overall a good dining experience.
They had a set Valentine’s Day menu and just a few things from the regular menu to pick from. Felt as if they didn’t make the food to order but had pre-made dishes sitting under lamps since people could only pick from the preset menu.
Most of the food came out either lukewarm or cold.
Very nice atmosphere to be in although our table was a little too close to another couples table and I could here everything they said. That really is my only qualm.
Valentines date night out in DC limited menu; crab bisque and short ribs were awesome, filet was good but small. After dinner coffee was very good. I will return but not on limited menu night.
Great flavors in apps. Love the shrimp scampi flatbread, mushroom toast, Arancini. Fried cauliflower was just so-so. There were some large gaps in service but the food was tasty.
Power lunch was fabulous. Great food, really good value.
Fantastic service ( Wally) was very attentive and his recommendations were spot on!! Our first visit and we we’re extremely happy with the happy hour prices and menu. We also ordered from the main menu and was so satisfied within the choices.
Brussels sprouts were the best we ever had. Bronzino and shirt ribs were melting on our tongues, delicate flavors and delicious with our wine pairings.
Salads were a yummy treat as well.
The ambience was truly nice with the great Teddy Roosevelt decor and peaceful to have great conversations.
Went for a Sunday brunch with college friends. They were busy but did a good job. I would recommend trying their brunch. We will be back!
Good service and food. Great for entertaining clients.
I got the unlimited brunch; food and mimosas were great. The waiter was on time with everything and the atmosphere was just right.
The restaurant itself was fine. The concept of the Bloody Mary bar is great, but it’s a pain to go make one and figure out hot sauces, condiments, etc. Maybe I was just feeling lazy? The food was okay, but I lot of it I did not enjoy — who puts syrup on biscuits and gravy (and that was not mentioned in the menu) — but the waffles and fresh fruit was really nice. Overall, I wasn’t overly impressed with the food and for the price, there are much better brunch places.
Cool setting and food was good, but waiter seemed like he wanted to rush us out of there from start to finish, even though the place was half empty.
This was my second time at Teddy & The Bully Bar and my guests that had never been thanked me for choosing such a great place. The food and the service was amazing. Usually with a party of 10 the server is overwhelmed but our server was great! I'll definitely be going back.
Great Sunday brunch
The short rib was delicious. We will definitely be back.
Great food and service. First time there but would definitely go back.
I am a frequent guest of this restaurant. Usually, the food is excellent. On Friday, I ordered a Cobb Salad. It was too salty. I was not able to finish it. This was my first unsatisfactory experience with their food. You asked and so I am responding. Great restaurant normally. I will continue going to Teddy's and undoubtedly I will have more good food at this nice restaurant.
Very nice restaurant but get ready about you’ll not get what you pay for. I’ve been there for bar it was great but not impressed about lunch.
Food tasted good, though the portions were small. There seemed to be an issue in the kitchen the day we went. One member ordered the benedict and at first the plate put in front of him just had an english muffin and pulled pork, no eggs or hollandaise. Another server came by and took it quietly from the table without explanation. Another member in our party ordered the same dish and the plate put in front of him looked different. At some point another person came by with a duplicate order of my dish, and when nobody claimed it he left it on the counter behind us. Our food wasn't served at the same time, so the first person who got their plate ended up waiting about 20 minutes before everyone else's food showed up. Our server wasn't exactly rude, but she also wasn't friendly and definitely didn't seem happy at all.
I would recommend cocktails and appetizers but I’m not sure I would recommend a sit down meal here. I went during restaurant week and I felt that compared to other higher end American fare, in DC, the food fell rather flat. Salmon tartare was bland and the lobster dish was overly seasoned. The creme brûlée seemed overly chilled and didn’t seem very fresh. The cocktails were wonderful and the staff was very friendly. The overall ambience is relaxing and modern. I would be willing to go again when restaurant week wasn’t happening to see if there’s a difference in the quality of the food.
