Delicious and generous portions. The three course lunch is a great value. The French onion soup was amazing.
This is a great spot for lunch. I had the salmon with orzo entrée. It was small for an entrée but was well prepared. fMy sister liked the salad with shrimp. The service was excellent. Patrick is one of the best servers I’ve had in DC. Would definitely go back.
Server was amazing.
The history of TR in DC before he became president is very interesting, and this place does a great job of providing ambience. It is easy to imagine this bar as a place Teddy would enjoy. The decor pays homage without being obsequious. The house across the street, where he lived, serves as an anchor.
The food was good. The best dish? Crispy brussels sprouts!
I understand holiday events such as Thanksgiving Buffet are difficult to provide, our family was underwhelmed. The staff were friendly and provided us seating at our reserved time but there was little attention and spoons were missed, exchanging bent forks was problematic, and anything special was difficult. The variety was good with turkey, beef, and salmon meats and several vegetables yet they and the soups were warm at best. I rated this location noisy yet it was a full holiday crowd so that is to be expected. I don't like providing negative reviews nor do I think our expectations were too high as we have paid less for an even larger and more delicious ensemble of treats, but this holiday meal was not one we would try again.
My family and I went to Teddy's for their Thanksgiving buffet. For a buffet, the food was very good with a few less than terrific dishes, like their turkey dressing. However, the variety was great with turkey, salmon and roast beef entrees and a broad selection of sides. Unfortunately the pumpkin pie was not so good, a big disappointment for me. The service was friendly but a bit slow.
Another great Thanksgiving dinner at Teddy’s.
Lamont was wonderful to work with. Turkey was dry and food was average.
Not sure if I would return, but thanks for the experience.
Solid Thanksgiving dinner!! Our 5th year, great selection and everything was delicious
nice buffet for t-giving. salmon and Turkey were standouts. our server was nice and very good. overall a great experience!
Thanksgiving day brunch was excellent with great selections of food. Our server Tyler F. was outstanding! Attentive and very helpful. Overall a very enjoyable experience:-)
Excellent lunch menu good service
The best brunch in the city! Everything on the menu is delicious. They do slight variations on some of the dishes according to the season.
I wasn't certain what to expect as I'm not from the DC area. It was perfect! The noise level was perfect for my lunch meeting, it was bright but not sterile, my food was amazing and the service was phenomenal. I hope my client and I go here for all of our lunch meetings!
Good food and service.
Great food and location. My first visit, I had the lobster and corn risotto, which was really good. And didn’t take too long to get to the table. Really good decaf but please consider adding almond, soy or oat milk to your selection of creamer.
I enjoyed the restaurant. The menu is limited but the options had enough variance.
The waitress was sensitive to our needs.
I’ve been there several times and was always happy with the food, however, the quality of the food was not it’s best yesterday. I’m a bit disappointed.
A little noisy but the food and service was very good!
Been there dozens of times and always had great food, service and experience.
The food was average. Some people's dishes were really good, but others hated their meals. They also did not have any filets left, so several of my guests had to get the larger cut of meat. Additionally, when asked for a birthday dessert, they gave us their cornbread with ice cream. That's not dessert.
Waiter didn’t explain concept of smaller plates and shared food if typical. Didn’t explain that food came out as ready. Took forever to get bill. Peach crisp was really bad- no “crisp” to it.
Service not good. Second time coming to this place as a recommendation from client. Food came out wrong and server was snarky about it. They did take the meal off the bill but won't go back. The noise level was too high for a conversation.
Yummy, yummy! The waffle batter is so buttery, you don't need to add any extra. The brunch mimosas are mostly champagne and the Bloody Mary is spiced just right. Can't go wrong with Teddy's, unless you're on a budget. :)
Great service. The food was tasty, but the dishes maybe a little too complex. There was a lot going on with flavor and texture - seared scallops. The shrimp risotto was too smoky. Cocktail menu was adventurous - i tasted 2 , both of which i would not try again. It was good but not memorable
Food was good, sat outside so nice ambience, service was incredibly slow.
Love the food and service here normally. The waiter wasn’t that great on this visit, the last one I had was much better. I still like this place though. Will be back. Among the best tasting food amongst the bottomless brunch options in DC.
I would just like to say that our server (listed on the receipt as Maximill) was amazing. He had a wonderful personality, excellent demeanor, and is someone that I would want to wait on me each time I ate at Teddy & The Bully Bar. I cannot give him enough praise! The restaurant is quite good and we always make a special trip to DC just to eat here. You can't go wrong with the breakfast buffet and bottomless drinks. This is a highlight of DC!
We were visiting DC for our Anniversary, mentioned in this in our reservation and the host was nice enough to give us each a glass of processo to celebrate. It was so sweet!
Had a wonderful birthday dinner for my mother and uncle. The menu was diverse enough to make everyone happy. The service and food were both excellent.
Outstanding food made up for poor service. I will continue to frequent this spot as it is one of the best lunch places in DC and the menu stays strong and unique. This was the first time I've come for dinner in some time and the only time I have had an issue with service, so Teddy's will definitely get another chance.
Business lunch was incredibly loud - as designed, apparently. No carpet or soft materials anywhere. Food was OK, service was top-notch. Three-course lunch priced well. Great location. Be prepared to shout between noon and 2 p.m.
Food was great they needed more servers
Best brunch in DC.
You definitely leave satisfied.
Plenty of food to choose from. Drinks were flowing as well.
The food was pretty good but the service definitely was lacking. We waited for 15 minutes before anyone asked for our drink order. Mind you, the restaurant was dead (ie only 4-5 tables at the most).
Server brought out my plate first, and didn't bring out my girlfriend's plate about 10 minutes later (I had to ask the server where her plate was)
My food was lukewarm by the time she got her plate.
We sat outside. The service was especially good. The food was lovely.
overall, it was good...HOWEVER, we had to wait an excessive amount of time for dessert (and our bill) because someone "dropped the cake." Then, when I asked for my main course and dessert to take home, I was informed that someone threw out my main course (per supposed language "problems"). It was Very Nice that the Manager gave me a full replacement of the main course, though.
Was very impressed with the food and the service at this establishment. Prices were more than fair for what you were given. Highly recommend the corn bread!!
