Great service. Tasty food. Fun drink menu.
When I went I happened to catch happy hour. Great food! And a great ambiance. Loved the decor and the unique theme!
Christmas Dinner— great selection of taste side dishes, but mains from carving station were slightly disappointing in that lamb chops were too rare and Turkey on the dry side. Overall though pleasant evening.
Who knew that banana roasted Brussel sprouts were a thing and it worked? I was grateful to have some where to spend Christmas. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the service was top notch.
Great Christmas Day options. Dessert was the only part that was lacking- dry cakes and lumpy & warm cheesecake. Outside of that we appreciate the team working and providing a great experience.
Brunch was excellent. Neil (sp?) was an amazing server, please request him if you can. He’s one of the reasons I will return. The service was wonderful. The waffle station was excellent. The omelette station was good but could use more protein options. We recommend the chicken and waffles and apple pancakes.
Terrible recent visit. Server with zero other tables when we were seated took about 10 mins to get to the table. Then put in the order incorrectly and had kitchen send out wrong order. Corrected order took 15+ mins to come out. Some food clearly was sitting for a while before brought out. Drink service similarly bad. Super, super disappointing to be honest after positive prior visits. Manager comp’d order but honestly not sure I’ll be back even though convenient to work and have taken food there a number of times for business lunches and dinners — iRicchi and The Palm are literally next door and have far better service and comparable food - consistency matters.
Server was not attentive, noise level extremely high, and food was ok.
The service staff did not allow us to have brunch, but restricted us to a five option happy hour menu. My chicken was under cooked. The mimosa was not as advertised. Overall, very disappointing.
We went for bottomless brunch. It’s our second time going - it’s great! The service gets a little sloppy during bottomless (we got multiples of everything we ordered & the omelette bar took 30 minutes of standing and waiting), but it’s really not even about the service when you’re doing bottomless brunch.
I love the restaurant's theme and attention to detail but the food was not great (the much recommended brussel sprouts were so steeped in oil and butter that I could only eat a very few without feeling like I would have a heart attack) and the service was not great either. I was a bit disappointed as I have enjoyed this restaurant on previous occasions.
Always have a good experience here. The food and service never disappoints. Cocktails are always delish as well. The strawberry mojito was the cocktail of choice for us and we all enjoyed them! It can add up but it’s well worth it.
Really tasty menu with an interesting and yummy drink selection. We had really nice and friendly service and felt comfortable in the large dining area. The restaurant has interesting decor to look at as well.
This was the second time we had Thanksgiving dinner at the Bully Bar. I hope we celebrate the holiday there many times on the future.
We were the only ones in the dining room for dinner. Not worth the trip if you’re coming from outside the neighborhood. Food is good, portions are smaller, food is pricey for the portion. Lighting is REALLY BRIGHT in the dining room during dinner… seems like a place that gets most of its customers for lunch, likely K-street businessmen and their clients. Overall good experience but it did not meet my expectations.
Had the bottomless brunch option. Food was delicious and served quickly. Our server was very attentive and always made sure to top off our mimosas. Only complaint is that it was very noisy. Other than that I would definitely revisit.
The brunch is a very fun experience. Food is yummy (you could skip the mac and cheese though). Olivia was excellent, would request to be seated in her section again!
High quality ingredients and service. Good value.
It is probably an impact of Covid, but there was only one server for both inside and outside tables. He was trying to serve alone 30+ people. The change of menu (from what is posted on the OpenTable and what was given to us at the restaurant also didn't help. They might recover, but for now, I would not recommend. There are so many better places just steps away.
Really great food, great service. Would recommend!
The drink menu is unique and would go back just for the old fashioned. The food was ok. We ordered ala carte
For Sunday brunch and my hamburger was over cooked. I ask for medium rare and it was well done. The short rib Benedict was over cooked as well. When I mentioned to our waiter that the drinks surpassed my expectations but the food was subpar at best I was told that I need to come when it’s not an all you can eat brunch and the food is better then. I was told that the Sunday all you can brunch is more about quantity than quality. Considering the fact that I did not order from the all you can eat menu I was disappointed with the explanation.
Very good. Only complaint was my plate was cleared while I was still chewing.
Our waiter was the absolute bomb.
Pre-pandemic I was not a fan of Teddy's, but they have really upped their game. I've had lunch there a couple of times over the past month and it has been consistently excellent.
We celebrated Halloween and had an amazing time! Food and service was out of this world. Everyone there was enjoying themselves too.
The place is very nice and the menu is original for brunch. I just found that $14 for a squash toast which was just one piece and nothing else to be lacking and not a good value. I would recommend that they augment that dish or lower its price.
Our meal was fantastic - some really creative dishes like kung pao sweet potato.
Neal was a superb waiter and took great care of us. Thanks to Neal, George and the entire crew at Teddy & The Bully Bar! We will definitely be back!
We had a great experience, from drinks and appetizers, through to dessert. We would definitely go there again.
Nobody there. Zero energy. Zero buzz.
Staff was friendly, but food was sub par. Not a good sign when we were immediately warned food comes out of the kitchen at different times?? Pancakes were dry and seemed like they had been cooked the day prior. waffles and omelettes were prepared at a separate station so some people need to leave the table to get food. We seemed to be all eating at a different times.
Omelette was not cooked thoroughly- and came alone on a plate with no sides.
Servers were very nice. Many better options in the area.
I would most definitely not recommend this place for brunch. The buffet option is overpriced and the a la carte menu offers ridiculously small portions.
Overpriced for average breakfast
Went in for a late brunch/lunch on a Saturday and was overall nice. We got an order of cornbread which was decent, and each of us had a scramble/omelet, which were fine but underseasoned IMO. We also had a mimosa pitcher. The servers were attentive while we had our meal however they delivered the check as soon as our plates were cleared. We did not intend to be finished and would have ordered dessert and more to drink. It was a weird vibe because the place was nearly empty and it seemed all the servers were hanging around waiting for us to leave.
Awesome service and great food made for an awesome Sunday brunch. I was greeted by a friendly staff member upon entering who let me know I could feel free to be seated as I was waiting for a friend before I wanted to be seated. Our waiter was very friendly and gave us a lot of recommendations on the menu. I personally really appreciate when waiters provide recommendations. I loved the omelette and waffles. I also thoroughly enjoyed the fish taco and Mac and cheese. My friend and I almost closed the restaurant down but the staff was super friendly about it. I will definitely return for another great experience.
We really enjoyed the patio for our dinner. The menu has some really creative food and beverages. The Old Fashion menu is quite nice. The host and waiter also went out of their way to work with the bartender to mix up a few non-alcoholic drinks as well that were experimental but still pretty good. Our dinners (the short ribs and the braised duck bolognese) were excellent, thanks to some suggestions from the waiter.
Great atmosphere and service. Both waiter and manager were very attentive.
Family dinner while visiting our (carnivore) daughter at college. (Lots of chicken at school!) Great steaks & short ribs. Cool Teddy/Eleanor Roosevelt decor. Super attentive staff. Definitely recommend.
George Forman took extreme measures to make sure we were satisfied after a small drink ingredient issue. Thank you to all the staff who were so excited and helpful. The night was warm and a Lot of people came out to eat. The crew never missed a beat.
Brunch is where this place shines. The server was fantastic, the guy pouring the mimosas was fantastic. The food is great and endless. If only we were inside. There is no where else to go for Sunday brunch in the District.
