The made to order omelets and waffles are delicious.
Awesome brunch as always.
Love teddy and the bully!
This place was dead. I guess because of the pandemic. But with vaccines readily available not sure why more people aren’t out. So clearly service was awesome, food great. Lacked a bit of flavor or spice. Otherwise great date night.
Memorial Day meet up turned an absolute joyous occassion, thank you to our server Alex for making the occassion feel special and bright. All of the food was great!
A friend and I wanted some after work drinks and food. We are always looking for a new restaurant to try and Teddy’s came up. For a Friday night, it was quiet in the bar/lounge area. We ended up having a few glasses of wine and shared a few dishes. Their chicken sandwich was amazing! Our server was great. Very attentive. I’ll return!
Food is Decent at best, small selection, steak was horrible, but exceptional service.
Not what I expected. The ambiance was beautiful but the food and menu were definitely lacking. We came as an early Mother’s Day brunch and brought along our 6yr old. No kids menu which was disappointing so we order her Mac n cheese from the starter section of the menu. It was delicious and the best thing that arrived. I got the eggs Benedict which was nothing special and lacked in flavor and for $19 I expected more. My partner got the steak frites that he order Medium and came out well done. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly but the service was a tad slow and I’m not sure why because the place wasn’t busy at all. I probably wouldn’t return.
Love this restaurant! Great food at a great location just south of Dupont. We ordered the burrata toast as an appetizer and it was fantastic. I had the salmon entree, very good. Very cool, trendy and bright atmosphere. We would definitely come here again.
When told that they weren't really known for their steak, I was a bit off put. I'd assume a Teddy Roosevelt themed restaurant would know a thing or two about red meat.
The music outside left a bit to be desired. Bubble gum pop, again, seems like a strange choice for the theme of this restaurant and bar.
That said, the drinks were outstanding and our server was very attentive, fun, and congenial. We really enjoyed his recommendations.
Appetizers were decent. We enjoyed the prosciutto with the apricot preserves. The preserves could be their own appetizer. Burrata toast was a hit and seemed to be the favorite of the evening.
Fried chicken and waffles was under seasoned and served with no syrup or hot sauce (kind of staples of this dish). While the dark meat was somewhat moist, the breast was dry.
Gnocchi carbonara was quite good as was the filet which was cooked perfectly.
Overall, we enjoyed ourselves but this will be a one-time experience.
It was a great experience! Very good service and cocktails!
The menu has little option.
The food had no flavor and portions are small.
The drinks were good but a little pricey. I ordered the PA Amish chicken, which was over cooked and very dry. Fried to an almost burned brown color. There was supposed to be some sort of creole sauce on it but I couldn’t detect any. On the positive side, we got right in on a Saturday night with no wait. Tables were well spaced during COVID and service was good.
A great spot for dinner in Washington DC! Would definitely recommend it.
My husband has been here before with a friend and loved it! We went back to celebrate a job promotion. We ordered our lamb medium rare and it was way over cooked. Since it had taken a long time to receive our meal, we didn’t complain because we were really hungry! Our waiter was adequate, but we didn’t see him much at all, even though it wasn’t very busy.
Drinks are amazing! Bar was chill and great vibes.
I really enjoyed the Passover dinner. Everything was perfect about it. Thank you for providing this opportunity to celebrate the holiday.
Good food and excellent drinks. Our server was extremely helpful and friendly. It wasn’t crowded so we were allowed to linger at our table (some places have imposed 90-minute limits which is understandable but cuts into the ambiance of a nice dinner). Highly recommend
We came out from Denver for a girls trip. We had enjoyed Lincoln’s last time and thought we’d try Teddy- we were not disappointed!!
I think this was the best dinner I've enjoyed in a long time. It started with our attentive waiter (wish I could recall his name!). He helped us pick out the perfect cocktails. It had been too long since I had a conversation with a waiter, rather than ordering through my phone. After we ordered some cocktails, we asked for the mac and cheese and the kale salad. WOW, that mac was good!! Next we shared the braised beef short rib with parm grits. Another great choice along with some Brussels sprouts. Oh, and two more cocktails. What a splendid dinner.
Food and drinks were delicious. Staff was great.
My friend had the Cobb salad and it was very good, but the Benedict wasn't and it was almost cold. So food is hit or miss.
Great cocktails and brunch!
The restaurant feels like a pop-up. Really bright overhead lighting that reminds me of a cafeteria and a very disjointed and random dining experience with trays and decor stacked in the center shelves. I’m not sure if they are in the middle of a renovation but the pictures do not match what it looks like now. While the food was decent, the fried chicken, collard greens, and corn bread for dinner was no different than a BBQ restaurant where I could have paid $12.99 instead of the $25 here.
Top notch service. Some food items unavailable
A hidden gem! The drinks, food and service were fantastic.
Food great service great! Bottomless mimosas only on Sunday’s though.
Amazing food and the mimosas were great!
We had a 4 courses meal on St. Valentine's day. The first two courses were very good. The main course was disappointing. About 2oz of meat. In regards to de dessert. You can find better options in the supermarket.
Excellent service and food. Highly recommend!
Fantastic food and drinks. I am particularly worried about Covid but they made me feel safe and the environment was clean/ socially distanced tables.
We had been wanting to try teddy’s for some time so we were excited. We had apps that were great (Mac n cheese and cornbread). On to the entrees, 3 of us got the short rib Benedict and then a chicken and waffle. All entrees were so disappointing. The short rib had no flavor at all and it was cold. The Hollandaise sauce also had no flavoring. The eggs were discolored a bit. Translucent in a way like the yoke was see through.
Our waitress however was awesome. I unfortunately can’t remember her name but she was great. We didn’t send the short Ribs back but she noticed none of us ate our entrees so she was able to get the manager to come or apps and the chicken and waffles so we did appreciate the effort.
Dropped by for Saturday brunch and menu was great and drinks were outstanding. It's a beautiful restaurant with a fun brunch vibe.
I’ve been going to Teddy and the Bully for several years, but this last experience was abysmal. The ambience was totally dead during Sunday brunch...no music as in previous reviews, and the set up they have now during COVID feels very sterile and sparse rather than the usual cozy environment. Most importantly, the food was terrible quality, like a free breakfast at a 2-star hotel. The menu is very limited and only one of the dishes (mac & cheese) was decent. The salmon taco was inedible, the pancakes were average, the strawberry yogurt item wasn’t even made with fresh strawberries, and the waffle was soggy and served with brown bananas on top. Nothing was fresh and everything was bland. The service was good at least, but the food absolutely was not worth the price.
They changed brunch around and were not very clear about it until u got there. Was disappointing
Excellent brunch as always .
I enjoyed all the plates, each option was delicious!! Especially the salmon tacos and the waffles!! The waiter was wonderful and masseuse sure we were satisfied with our order!! I will be coming again!! My new favorite brunch spot!
Food was below average - Mac and cheese ok and short ribs not as good as expected
love the décor! Cranberry Mimosa and the honey cornbread were delicious!
