Not sure if they were running short on staff but a work lunch took almost 2.5 hours. Over 20 minutes before we were served water at the table. Food was very good and nice atmosphere

Classy restaurant ready for theatre goers (theatre is right across the road). I had the wagyu tenderloin from Australia. Our server picked a niceglass of red for me. Dessert was super yummy and not to big (which is good).

Teatro is a special occasion place we just love. They pulled out the extra care when we booked for an intimate dinner for my 55th birthday. They seated us in the best table in the house. Shortly after seating, a card was presented that all the staff had signed. That was really kind 😀. The service and food were exceptional as we have experienced on every visit to Teatro. Thank you, Teatro, for making my birthday a night to remember!

Mother’s Day Brunch was excellent, great options for a fixed menu. I didn’t realize our 10am reservation was exactly when the restaurant would open. So being appropriately early meant standing outside for my parents. Would have been great if this was communicated as someone did call me to confirm the reservation.

The BEST restaurant! Food is amazing, ambiance and service are impeccable. We celebrated a special occasion and noted it with our online reservation. The hostess called to confirm and inquired about the note. They took great care to make sure there was a card with birthday wishes and a chocolate medallion with Happy Birthday written on it that came with dessert. I've frequented Teatro for about two decades and it has always been a memorable experience.

Great Table. Taylor was exceptional. (I know you have three!) Martinis- delicious Caesar Salad- underwhelming. So lightly dressed that I couldn’t really taste the dressing. It was a lighter style salad and that was nice. Bread- yum Mushroom risotto- amazing Scallops & Pork Belly - exceeded my expectations Ahí Tuna - extremely complimentary favours Desserts- tiramisu- YES! London Fog - great. Didn’t need the filling inside the dome as it overpowered the flavours. Espresso- incredible! Taylor paired the wines with our entrees perfectly. A memorable evening from start to finish. Thank you.

A little disappointing on this trip to the restaurant. They first tried to seat us at the first table for three right by the door when you first come in. Disappointing for sure as this is one of the worst tables in the entire restaurant. We were accommodated to a booth so that was fine. I ordered the seafood lasagna. While although delicious, it wasn’t warmed all the way through. So the cheese in the centre of the lasagna was cold. The brussels sprouts were delicious and I believe the other two meals that our party had of the scallops and pork belly, although covered in a lot of sauce, was quite tasty.

First time eating here. Absolutely amazing. Service was great, food was incredible. And there Lattes are so good. What really meant a lot to my wife and I was there incredible sensitivity to her food allergies. Their thoughtfulness and options were appreciated, and even had a desert for her so she didn't have to watch me eat mine alone.

Malcolm was a fantastic waiter! The food was amazing. We shared the roasted chicken and the risotto. The Cesar salad had the best dressing I’ve ever had. Coffee was fantastic!

This was my second time in Teatro and the first time for lunch. I think the express lunch was amazing and very good value! It's a pity I cannot come to Calgary more often but Teatro is definitely a must visit when you're in Calgary. The food, ambiance and service are outstanding!

I was anxiously awaiting eating at this restaurant. We chose Sunday because there is no corkage on Sunday. When we arrived we were greeted at the door and lead to our table. The ambience of the restaurant was very nice, clean bright, the tables were spaced well. Someone came to our table and offered to open the wine and decant it.. They wanted to decant it in another room which I thought was strange. However they decanted it at a table adjacent to our table. They were not attentive with regard to the wine and did not come back and ask if we wanted any poured. We had to asked to have the wine brought back to the table. We ordered the fried brussels sprouts as an appetizer. It was lovely, enough to share with three people. It had a lovely sauce and the brussels sprouts were cooked and seasoned well. As our main we chose the chickpea Farinata, the tenderloin and the risotto. My friends thoroughly enjoyed the chickpea Farinata and the risotto. I did taste the risotto and it was creamy with body the rice was Al dente and it had great flavor. My disappointment was with the beef tenderloin . It was chard to the point where all you could taste was the charcoal on the outside of the steak . It was cooked medium rare as I ordered but it was hard to enjoy it with the excess of char on the outside. It was served with potato Galette wild mushrooms and a Gorgonzola fondue. Normally when I order a fillet it almost melts in my mouth, this one was very chewy. I felt that the starch to meat component was off. Very little potato to the volume of meat. We chose the tiramisu and the s’mores bar for dessert. The tiramisu was very good as it was the s’mores bar. I found that the music was much too loud for that caliber of restaurant.

The ambiance and space is well decorated and structured, the service was on point in so many little ways that we were actually very impressed. In terms of food the octopus starter was cooked to perfection and cut to just the right sizes. My main course (beef tenderloin): was well spiced and the plate was visually aesthetic. My Partners main course (Seared scallops and pork belly): scallops tasted amazing however the dark rich sauce on top of the pork belly didn't complement the already heavy pork.

This is a tough one. The food was incredible but expensive for the sake of expensive. I knew that it was higher priced but took a chance on the experience. I have dined at a few high-end places and left fully satisfied because of the experience. Ruth's Chris is a good example. We went there last year for her birthday, expensive but wow do they make you feel special. Also booked on open table. This year, we picked Teatro and could not have left more deflated. It was her 50th, which I believe was a bigger deal, but less could not have been done. I did list the reason for our reservation on the app; maybe it did not translate to the restaurant very well? I'm not sure but I will not be back. I'll give my $200 to a familiar place or someone new.

Ordered the chef’s tasting menu and wine pairing. Enjoyed a variety of dishes including some extra surprise dishes - all were delicious and well portioned. The kitchen accommodated all of our allergies and preferences. We didn’t ever feel rushed and enjoyed our evening visit with friends. Would recommend!
