Good food. Good service. Overall a good experience. Nice atmosphere.
Excellent for dining before a Count Basie show. Good service, and food.
Teak has a lot to offer in one spot. We've been here a few times. Nice dinning/bar scene downstairs and a more vibrant music oriented vibe upstairs. We had Wednesday pre theater reservations for dinner downstairs at 6:15. Upon arrival we discovered they had live music upstairs and enough room to seat us all. They happily accommodated the change. Turns out upstairs had happy hour prices all night...so bonus! I had the poke salad and my better half had the lettuce cups and edamame dumplings. We loved it all. While we went the tapas route, they do serve the full menu upstairs. Our table mates both got the burger and were very happy! I'm a beer/wine girl so I don't have an opinion on their mixed drinks...but they have a decent selection of wine and craft beer. The ambiance of the restaurant is upscale cool yet casual. The room upstairs is brand new and is beautiful! They have outdoor seating on both levels which is great for nice weather. Service was fast and friendly...and authentically friendly, not fake friendly...I can tell the difference! Overall a great spot for a full dinner experience or a stop for a drink.
We have eaten at Teak numerous times and have had good experiences
However, every aspect of our visit tonight was a major disappointment. We waited 10 minutes for a server and finally had to ask for one. Someone came over and just poured us water, did not ask if we wanted anything different. We ordered our food, all 4 dishes came out at once. Our table was for 2, could not fit all, nor did we want all. We sent two back. The food was cold, bland and all around disappointing. Not sure we will be back any time soon.
Shared a wonderful meal with friends. Monkey role is a must try.
Food was great friendly staff
I asked for a quiet table as I know it can be very loud. So if you'd like a quiet romantic date that might not be the place to go. But the food is good. My lychee martini too much puree but still palatable
A little pricey, but the sushi was excellent. Lettuce wraps appetizer, really tasty as well. Service was fantastic.
Celebrated a wonderful 24th birthday with our vegan daughter! Kung Pao had the right amount of heat! For meat eaters: the standard $8 tuna and $8 salmon rolls were every bit as good as the signature sushi rolls.
Good food and good service. We went on the night everyone was celebrating Halloween so the bar upstairs was crazy loud in general but the food was still good and my husband and I enjoyed everything we ate.
Went to Teak before a concert at Count Basie. The service was great and festive ... as it was the night of their Halloween costume party. The staff were in great spirits (lol) and the atmosphere was fun but still tasteful. We shared several small plates like the lettuce cups and done sushi. Plus a bottle of warm saki. It was great
I felt the food was not worth the price we paid. I felt the overall dining experience was not why we thought it was going to be.
Service was fantastic bar none. Christian the manager was professional and courteous. He directed us to the upstairs bar while are table was getting ready ( we were a bit on the early side). Lindsay the bartender explained the drink menu and I decided on a IPA that came out frosty cold. Can’t say more. I highly recommend Teak!
Great food and service. Great for pre-theatre food and drinks or post-theatre fun.
Great happy hour deals and nice friendly service definitely still a great place for dinner and.drinks
Concert at count Basie
Great food and service. Have come here several times and never disappointed
The food had a wonderful fusion mix. Flavors popped out, whether it was the appetizers, cocktails, entrees, or desserts. Definitely recommend Teak, and would go back when in the area again.
Salmon was delicious. Great restaurant prior to show at Count Basie Theater. Definitely be back (again).
We had a great dinner at Teak for restaurant week. The service was excellent, food was plentiful and the atmosphere was great. I would definitely recommend it!
I like the Asian food but tried the ny strip. For $34 or so, it was tough and lacked flavor. My friend ordered the same and felt the same. 1 shared app, dinner, 1 dessert without coffee and 2 drinks each $160. Bit steep. Place is nice but I will stick with Kung pao from now on.
This was our first visit. Service was VERY slow. For example it took 20mins to serve a chipwich. The acoustics are not good and you can barely hear the person next to you. That being said the food once received was very good and creative
We went for Restaurant week! It was a pre fix menu but the selections were fantastic! We had their combo of sushi rolls, short ribs, Asian Cesar salad, edamame dumplings, chocolate lava cake and coconut flan. Cocktails incredible!
The menu has unique renditions of Asian dishes with an interesting blend of flavors and preparation. The presentation is well done and the servings are plentiful. The service was very good and the contemporary decor pleasant to look at and comfortable. I especially liked the dining room open to the outside adjacent to the patio.
If I have one complaint it's with the acoustics. All too often great restaurants are spoiled by tinny reverberate acoustics. Teak, unfortunately, is among that group. The architect of this restaurant definitely traded off acoustic comfort for decor. The good thing is a vast improvement could be achieved without spoiling the look.
There was a horribly loud band playing on their rooftop the Sunday evening I had dinner with a friend. We were looking forward to relaxing and talking. Music was completely inappropriate
Our server Shannon made up for it. She was great
Great service, atmosphere, music, food and drinks. Highly recommend.
The food was excellent. The service was great. My only issue was we felt rushed being it was Friday night. We had three appetizers and we weren’t even finished with them and the main course came out. We don’t get out much as a couple so it bothered both os us.
Liked the food but it got too loud. Some type of sound absorption should be considered
Favorite for Asian fusion and all around dining experience!
Great food with nice vegetarian options! The edamame dumplings are delicious! Having the option to make a reservation is a big plus! We were there on a VERY hot day so the open air patio was closed up and it was VERY loud inside. Perhaps not an issue when it’s opened up.
Enjoyed this restaurant
It gets better every time we go back. The food and drinks are amazing. My family and I have tried a different dish each time. Definitely recommend.
Food was excellent.
Food and service always great here. Lovely bar scene. Rooftop seating and music great!
Good food, excellent service.
We had dinner before a show at Two Rivers Theatre. Everything was excellent!
