Tea Lounge - Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
This experience was my first time here. I will definitely return. My friends and I all got the afternoon tea. The service was great and the price was reasonable. The tea, scones, and sandwiches were fabulous, but the dessert was not a favorite for me or my friends.
Sandwiches and scones are dry and not freshly made. The Mandarin blossoms tea is ok. I have tasted way better teas than here.
The afternoon tea at the Fairmont Empress (Victoria,BC) and at the Goring Hotel in London are the best places to experience this.
I’ve high expectations from this place since it’s in Mandarin Oriental but this experience is very disappointing.
Overall a good experience, but service was not nearly as attentive as the last few times I have visited. In the past, I never had to pour my own tea, but this time we had to wait about 5 minutes to even speak to someone to seat us (with a reservation) and were not visited by wait staff very often. Also, there was a strange robot in the lobby outside the restaurant that made a lot of noise and was annoying and out of place for such a nice venue.
We have done this Tea 2 other times so we thought we knew what we were getting.
They moved where it was being held as they were planning for NewYears EVE party but did not inform you of this until we showed up so we did not have any nice view as from where it is normally held.
They sat us down and we waited for over 10 minutes for any server to approach us. Once she did and took our order we never saw her again. I asked another server for some water as now we have been sitting with NOTHING for a very long time! 20 minutes at least! We got water and proceeded to wait. Another server brought our very nice champagne poured us a glass and then NEVER returned to pour anymore. Once tea arrived mine was barely lukewarm. The selection of tea sandwichs and desserts were not even half as good as previous visits. It was if they were throwing this together to move on to there big evening.
WE then asked for some butter for the scones.
NO one came back for 10 minutes, a manager was passing by so we asked her. She brought a FROZEN disc of butter! Completely frozen! WE complained. My husband was really upset as this was our special NEW YEARs EVE treat with our grown children and it was extremely poor. We poured our own Champagne the entire time, no one came around at all. Even after telling manager the service was awful, it NEVER improved. They took 2 tea services off our bill. Which is good I guess but does not change the bad experience at all!
I would try again because it was so great before but never on a "holiday".
Great tea time with a broad selection of tea. I loved the view and the scones were so delicious and warm. The clotted cream, lemon curd and berry jam were delicious! I loved the view as well. I was very comfortable in the space, all the tables were full but it is not crowded. The service was great and there was plenty of tea refills.
It's become an annual tradition to attend the Nutcracker Tea and this year was another truly lovely experience. The menu is a perfect balance between sweet and savory with each dish packed with flavor and balanced together to create a cohesive menu. The tea choices are abundant (the oolong is my personal favorite) and the atmosphere is perfect for the holidays. Definitely a must-do for spending Christmas in Las Vegas.
Was underwhelmed with the Afternoon Tea. The view is amazing and the Wedgewood China is lovely. We were, however, disappointed with the food and the service. After attending in multiple teas, this was one that left us feeling that it was not quite the caliber tea we were expecting.
It was a charming and unique experience. Food was delicious...but more finger foods rather than a full meal. Setting was charming and the views are breathtaking. Service is excellent. I would highly recommend it. They also have a children's menu so they are welcome to go.
My mom and I went for my birthday. It was nice but we prefer the Four Seasons due to the noise level and seating. The seating was very uncomfortable and the noise level was loud. The tea and service were excellent, food was excellent, and the view was spectacular!
This was my second time for tea, and it is a very nice experience. Service was pleasant; atmosphere was relaxed. The scones are delicious and the tea selection is great. I enjoyed the mini sandwiches, but the dessert selection was just okay. Overall great place for afternoon tea and a nice opportunity to escape the craziness of the Strip.
Like many spots in Vegas, part of the price is the location rather than the food quality--but in this case it's mostly worth it. The teas are fragrant and most of the food service with it is a creative and tasty (just a couple items aren't great). The atmosphere is peaceful, definitely best if you have a window seating. Make a reservation for the afternoon and enjoy the view.
