Tea Lounge - Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
It was a charming and unique experience. Food was delicious...but more finger foods rather than a full meal. Setting was charming and the views are breathtaking. Service is excellent. I would highly recommend it. They also have a children's menu so they are welcome to go.
My mom and I went for my birthday. It was nice but we prefer the Four Seasons due to the noise level and seating. The seating was very uncomfortable and the noise level was loud. The tea and service were excellent, food was excellent, and the view was spectacular!
This was my second time for tea, and it is a very nice experience. Service was pleasant; atmosphere was relaxed. The scones are delicious and the tea selection is great. I enjoyed the mini sandwiches, but the dessert selection was just okay. Overall great place for afternoon tea and a nice opportunity to escape the craziness of the Strip.
Like many spots in Vegas, part of the price is the location rather than the food quality--but in this case it's mostly worth it. The teas are fragrant and most of the food service with it is a creative and tasty (just a couple items aren't great). The atmosphere is peaceful, definitely best if you have a window seating. Make a reservation for the afternoon and enjoy the view.
Seated right in front of the window overlooking the strip. Food was amazing. The scones were perfect. Our waitress was knowledgeable especially around the tea selections. She offered us a tea that wasn't on the menu. I had the endless mimosas for $25 extra and my drink was replenished without asking. Our waitress was attentive but not intrusive. An extremely pleasant way to spend a few hours away from the madness that is Vegas.. I would highly recommend!
We had afternoon tea at the Mandarin for my birthday lunch. The lounge is on the upper lobby on the 23rd floor with A+ views of the strip and the mountains. The ambiance is quiet but welcoming to conversation and the service is amazing - truly the most welcoming staff. Also TONS of food. Really good value and don't miss adding a glass of Perrier Jouet to your order, definitely worth the added fee.
My granddaughters and I had a wonderful experience at afternoon tea! They were so excited...they said it was one of the best things they have ever done. They felt so grown up! It gave me a chance to instill in them proper etiquette too. I have a feeling that my other 4 granddaughters will be next!! Thanks for a great time! Jingle was an exceptionally attentive and pleasant server. She saw to ALL of our needs and wishes!!
Came 45 minutes early for our reservation and hostess could not communicate effectively regarding whether we could be seated within the next few minutes or whether we should leave and come back. Ambience was nice, but if you are waiting there is nothing but the hotel lobby which just has a front desk and champagne vending machine. Waitress was satisfactory, but nothing above average. During all the tea times we have been to when we have never been charged extra for a request for one or two extra sandwiches or pastry items. The nickel and diming definitely lost this place some points. In addition the service charge/gratuity being automatically billed was another petty thing that made things feel less genuine. Food was prepared 24 hour in advance and their ability to maneuver or accommodate due to an allergy was far below my expectations from the mandarin oriental. The tea was fine but no one was attentive enough to pour the tea for anyone in our party. Overall you are better off going to a tea room or coffee shop in a nice part of town and ordering food that might be freshly made. Did not feel like afternoon tea and was more like getting a drink in the lobby of a hotel. Would not recommend.
This is one of the highlights of every visit I take to Las Vegas. I judge a trip by its meals and I can be assured that I will never have the same tea selection twice here! I marked this tea experience down, because the check in counter can get busy and there are echos of laughing and footsteps that make it slightly noisy. Overall, it was amazing and so wonderful.
We visit and have afternoon tea at Mandarin Oriental every city we visit. Unfortunately this will be the first and last time we go to the MO in Las Vegas. I made a reservation before getting into town, yet when we arrived, we were given the worst table in the room while other tables remained empty near the window. I did not bother saying anything to the girl at the front because she just looked like she couldn't be bothered. The food was mediocre, and the bathroom (which our table was near) was filthy. Never again!
Food and service were great. I didn't understand why they attached a service fee to the bill. The total bill for afternoon tea service for three was $174 before tip. Thought that price was high compared to other tea services, and that is the only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars.
Our second time - and if we ever revisit Las Vegas again, we'll be sure to look forward to a return visit to the Mandarin Tea Lounge...where, as they bill themselves, the City of Zen, offers a respite to a city gone too noisy and non-stop.
Our two small observations that the Management might take note of:
1/ Stained wood top of table stuck to the bottoms of hot tea pots, making it very difficult to lift for refills.
2/ Lighting fixture, overtop in the middle, need to be cleaned of the dead bugs?
We enjoyed a lovely, relaxing tea time! It was a birthday celebration and everything was perfect. The Tea Lounge is beautiful with a great view. Our food was fabulous....each tier on the tea tray was delicious and lovingly presented. The scones, warm from the oven, were excellent! The little tea sandwiches were imaginative and delicious! The desserts were unique and yummy! The tea menu was extensive...something for everyone. I can't say enough about the wait staff. Our little lady was very caring, but not intrusive and so accommodating. Altogether, it was the perfect way to spend the afternoon...refreshing and relaxing!
The tea was delicious and service was impeccable. My husband loved his sandwiches but mine were very disappointing. I noted that I was vegetarian and got a horrendous assortment of raw vegetables in paper thin wraps. Some of my husband's sandwiches were vegetarian - why the swap out? Maybe they don't know the difference between vegetarian/vegan. Disappointing. The blackcurrant cake was nice but the other pastries were meh at best. At $40pp, we'll go back but do an a la carte for the scones and pot of tea. Gorgeous view!
The High Tea food and beverage was amazing but the furniture was very uncomfortable.
Request a table. The sofas are ol and in need of replacement. They look and feel like they haven't been replaced in 30 years.
The egg salad sandwich was the best! The matcha latte was delightful.
