Made a reservation well in advance, arrived precisely on time, and waited for more than 45 minutes for a table. The place wasn't packed - they either didn't plan or gave the table to someone else. This isn't what well-run restaurants do. It wasn't worth the wait - both food and service were pedestrian.

Delicious food, amazing service (shout out to Brianna!), one of my favorite cocktails (French 75), decent beer selection, and great jazz music to match the ambiance. I would definitely recommend, and can't wait to return!

My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We were the only ones in the entire restaurant. It was a great dining experience. Our waitress was one of the best waitresses we ever had. Went above and beyond.

Food quality rivals many of Philadelphia's top 10% at a much more reasonable price point. A relatively small number of menu offerings but they spanned a wide gastronomic range. Quality and preparation was flawless and we appreciated the emphasis on local sourcing. Can't wait to go back when South Jersey's bounty is on full display. Service staff was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Wine list was well-paired with the menu and was of exceptional value. The only shortcoming was the dessert - I had a tiramisu that did not stack up to an otherwise outstanding experience.

My wife and I went for Valentine's day. Our experience was ok but not ideal. The restaurant was crowed and tables were close together. It was difficult to have a conversation since other couples were so close to us. My steak was delicious, however my wife's steak was tough. Overall the food quality was fairly good, but overpriced. Service was slow due to the holiday. I do recommend visiting the bar area instead of the dining room or eat at the attached more casual Red Hen portion. The ambiance is better there than in the Tavro 13 dining area. They do have a great beer selection in all areas.

Tavro remains the only restaurant in our South Jersey area that replicates the better restaurants in Philadelphia, so save that drive over the bridge. The oysters are served they way they should be served, on ice with the right accrutaments. The drinks are unique without skimpy pours. The food is fresh and the servers have always been attentive and courteous. Give it a try.

We keep trying to like this restaurant since it is only a few miles from our home. The menu (average to pricey), has recently been revised, to me is still lacking substance unless you like steak. Although the food was good it does not have the WOW factor you would expect for the pretentious atmosphere portrayed. I went with 2 other adults on a Saturday night at 7 PM. The reservation was made online 2 weeks prior. Even though tables were empty in the front room we were seated on the side porch with another family with a child watching a movie on their device. Love kids but when I am paying those prices for an adult dinner I don't expect to hear a screaming movie in the background. A group of us were going to go for my husbands birthday in a few weeks but unfortunately I will travel to find a better menu and atmosphere. Finally have given up on Tavro 13.
PS The waitress was sweet and very accommodating!

I was underwhelmed by Tavro 13. We were eating light and so I cannot comment on the main entries. The menu is very small. Based on the prices, I expected better food and presentation. We ordered the shrimp cocktail, cheese platter, oysters, wedge salads and garden salad. We also ordered drinks. The cheese platter was a bit of a joke. They just placed a bunch of different cheeses on the plate, with a little souffle dish full of nuts and a sliced apple. No explanation was given about the cheese nor a recommendation for how to pair them, nor anything to pair them with. I order cheese platters when dining, a lot, and this was sort of "throw some cheese of a piece of slate and charge $19"; very disappointing. I defense of the waitress, she was training, and very pleasant so no complaints about service. The shrimp cocktail was fine. The oysters were presented well, but they were really, really small, and overpriced considering how small they were. The salads were just okay. Finally, I can make a better Bloody Mary at home - nothing great there. The decor is eclectic and interesting. But the place was almost dead on a Saturday night at 6 p.m., so there really was no atmosphere. I wouldn't balk if friends wanted to to go out and dine here again, but I would not recommend it. They should step up their game.

Third time at this restaurant. First two visits were better. On the plus side they have changed their menu to more conventional items that most people will eat. However, not sure how appletini's were made (not good) and at least put a cherry in them. Appetizer good. Dinner fair. For some reason waiter asked to remove salt / pepper from my table to give to another table (???). Ordered white zinfandel but bar did not have (I would think this is a staple for most bars). Asked for Decaf coffee after dinner but could not accommodate. Seems Tavro wants to be an elite high class dining establishment that can charge a premium. Well they need to raise their game quite a bit to get there. Not sure I'll ever be there again.

First visit to Tavro 13 for my husband and I. It was a Saturday night and we were seated immediately. The ambiance was ok. Most tables seemed to have enough room for seating. The table my husband and I were seated was a long cushioned seat with big pillows. The way the seating is in this area, it's very close to other customers and with the pillows (looks comfy, but it doesn't give you enough room). These are the 2 seated tables. I had to squeeze myself between tables to sit in the back, and I'm an average weight. The noise level in the room, was very loud. After a little bit of waiting, our waiter asked if we would like something to drink, we ordered a bottle of wine. After waiting some more time, our waiter came by and realized he forgot the wine. When the waiter came back with our wine, he took our order. My husband and I were not in a rush that night, so the wait was not a problem. We both ordered a Caesar salad to start, it took a long time and I noticed another couple that recently came in, had bread on their table. I asked the waiter if we could have some bread (guess he forgot that too) when he came back with our salads. The salad was delicious. I ordered the filet mignon and my husband ordered the cowboy steak. We both really enjoyed the meal. It was cooked as we like. I still would recommend Tavro 13.

The entrees at Tavro come in good proportions and taste delicious for the most part. The squash soup was a bit salty for my liking but taste great with the bread. Service is mediocre with no compliments nor complaints. Atmosphere is ideal for a relaxing and quiet dinner but be aware of heating problems as a dining room of guests sat frigidly throughout the course of their meal.

Went with my wife for a date-night out to this little gem hidden away in charming Swedesboro NJ. Hip vibe and decor with easy parking. Dining room is cozy but not the most intimate with neighboring tables a bit close together reminds one of city dining -- can't help but hear neighboring conversations. Aged steaks cooked well but somewhat under flavored. Presentation also lacked flair with plates spartan (here's your steak on a white plate). Well rounded wine list with good selections across price ranges. Will definitely return again.
