The ribeye steak cut was to thin. Since the cut was so thin, you are not able to enjoy the juicy flavor that was expected when ordering a ribeye steak. This was very disappointing. The Cioppino alla Ligure was delicious!!!

We love good Italian food and dine out frequently. Tavalino is at the top of our list for the best Italian dining in Tucson. Before Tucson we lived in both New York and Chicago, both of which have great Italian restaurants. Tavalino reminds us of those dining experiences.

2 items ordered were not delivered as the menu indicated. Artichokes were left off the antipasto platter, veal medallions were ordered but we received veal scallopini???? Food was good, but nothing special!

Tavalino's always presents itself as a more than satisfactory option for an evening meal. You never feel shortchanged.
It can be noisy if seated in the wrong table/

We have dined there several times previously and enjoyed it. This time it was a disappointment. Our seats near the bar section, were being drummed with Disco big bass sounds. When we asked if there was some other music, we were told that this was what the owner wanted and no volume or selections could be made. Let him dine by himself, I don't think we will return.

We have eaten many times at Tavolino. The food is always excellent and generally the service is excellent. On this occasion, the service was not up to its usual standards. It took unusually long to order as we couldn't find out waiter. It also seemed that it took very long for the food to come out even though the restaurant was not particularly busy. There was no obvious manager watching the floor or keeping an eye on things. I hope this situation is remedied the next time we come in. Thanks

the atmosphere was pretentious. The food was good-not great. The salad that was featured was too spicy for us to eat.
We tried to use our gift card to include the gratuity and could not so we didn't like that.
Our server was great.
I probably will not go back. It is not the best Italian food we have eaten.

We need to go back and try some of the other items on the menu. What we had was great and well worth the price. The wait staff is knowledgeable and very helpful.

Dinner with friends (all local residents) was a typical experience. The food and service were just fine and the noise level was perhaps lower than on other visits. Competition from a recently opened restaurant in the same area may have taken some customers away, but over time they will continue to support Tavolino. It is one of Tucson's best restaurants.

We were there on Xmas Eve, and even though the restaurant was very busy, food and service were excellent. Three out of four of our party are vegetarians, and we all found something to our taste.

Even though it was Christmas Eve, I couldn’t resist my favorite mushroom, potato, and rosemary pizza. Sounds weird, butt it’s outstanding!

Went for my father's and my joint birthday. Really choose this restaurant for the ink squid pasta, but I am allergic to shrimp and apparently, they pre-pack the entree portions, so was very disappointing to not be able to try it. However the rest of the menu was great and quite enjoyable.

Being of Italian heritage, I am very picky about Italian food and Tavolino never misses. Their food is wonderful and so is their service, you can't beat the location and the atmosphere makes you feel like you are eating in New York or LA.

Tavolino is at the top of authentic upscale Italian dining in Tucson. We have tried many others including those in the neighborhood and nothing really compares. Tonight I had the grilled veal chop, a recent addition to the menu, and it was superb. My wife loved the whole branzino. We started with a burrata, prosciutto and tomato appetizer, which was also wonderful. Desserts are tops too. Service matches the great food.
John will help you select an appropriate wine, and there is a full bar serving generously poured cocktails.
Tavolino reminds me of similar wonderful places in New York and Chicago!

Took friends visiting from out of town. Food was good but the cocktails are not a great value as they are small and carry premium pricing. Did not clear dishes quickly at the end of the meal.

We have been to Tavolino many times, with good experiences, though it's been a while, so we were disappointed when none of the four of us felt the food quality warranted the cost. It appeared that the wine list reflected a higher than usual markup, making the cost the determining factor of the selection, rather than the quality of the wine. Not sure if we'll be going back.

Tavolina has the gracious ambiance of a fine restaurant, but manages to be cozy and homey through lighting and the very friendly service. I love the food. Wonderful menu. I celebrate my birthday here every year. Thank you for another memorable celebration.

The food ranged from average to bad, and was not worth the price. We tried 3 different dishes (frittura mista, tagliatelle alla bolognese, and the pollo allo spiedo). The frittura mista was the same as anywhere else, which is not necessarily a bad thing except the price is higher. The tagliatelle didn’t really have any taste at all, and the pollo allo spiedo was particularly bad. The meat (chicken thigh) was extremely dry, the skin on the outside was covered in oil and provided nothing but a slimy exterior. It didn’t really have much of a flavor either. We couldn’t finish even half of the dish. If at least 1 of the dishes had been good we would probably try it again, but since everything was bad we will not be returning.

Our server was nice, and the other employees were friendly as well. We also enjoyed the atmosphere, but it didn’t make up for the food.

If you want a better experience I would recommend Sullivan’s, Wildflower, or Wild Garlic Grill.

Tavolino never disappoints. The appetizer of the day was a fabulous bruschetta featuring two of my favourite things, buratta, and pesto. My main was also a special, a wonderful vegetable lasagne. Having just returned from several weeks in Italy I can honestly say that Tavolino’s sauce is as good as the best.

Tavolino continues to be the best combination of authentic, simple yet elegant atmosphere and food. Just the best of the best with fabulous consistency of "favorite menu selections" combines with Chef prepared incredible specials.

And of course the home made wood fired bread and first quality olive oil alone would make the experience worthwhile.

Excellent waitress - attentive but not intrusive. Knew a great deal about the wine. Food was very good - we were in the mood for pasta dishes, so appetizer, salads, and pasta entrees were what we had. Try the Orecchieta (sp??) with sausage. A little salty, but really flavorful, and would order this next time we come here.
