About
Tavola was inspired by owner Nick Accardi’s extensive travels to these regions, especially the town of Castelvetrano, the source of Nick’s family roots. With the help of his relative chefs, Nick has secured quality regional ingredients, including single estate castelvetrano olives and extra virgin olive oil, which he exclusively imports and can be purchased at Tavola.
Featuring two wood-burning ovens specially handcrafted in Naples, Italy using vesuvio volcanic clay. Having 2 ovens allows for the possibility to cook at more than one temperature. The Pizza oven burns at 900 degrees, while the other can operate at a second temperature for meats, fish and vegetables.
We visited Tavola , for previuos dinner for tcs NY matahon, the service was great and kindly , the food incredible and very Italian atmosphere.
One of my favorite Italian restaurants in NYC. Would highly recommend this venue for both personal and professional dining. Very authentic!
The service and food at Tavola were impeccable. We were visiting NY and a friend had recommended we check out this place. It was so worth the trek from Tribeca to Hell's Kitchen. We enjoyed each of our courses very much; the bruschetta, branzino and the pizza special of the day were delightful. Definitely try the food here!
It was fancy enough to feel like it was a night out but you could also come as you are. Pretty inside some tables are close but the noise level is perfect so that you don't feel as if you are involved in someone else's conversation. Good for pre-theatre or anytime. Food was good as well as the service. They accommodated us even though we were early for our reservation. Nice place.
Preshow meal . Great food, excellent service, and well priced.
EVERY TIME I EAT THERE WITH A RESERVATION, I RETURN TO WORK ONLY TO HAVE RECEIVED A SCOLDING EMAIL FROM OPEN TABLE SAYING THAT I MISSED THE RESERVATION. YOU TOO CAN HAVE THIS EXPERIENCE. GUYS, IF YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE RESERVATIONS, CHECK PEOPLE OFF THE LIST.
OTHER THAN THAT, IT IS MY GO TO PLACE.
Rustic ambience and great fresh dishes! The seafood ravioli special was incredible.
Was a nice spot to go on a date that was casual and intimate depending on where you sit. Food was really good and fresh but prices were a little higher than I would expect. Overall the service was good and I would recommend it as a good Italian restaurant for a fun casual evening.
Old school ninth ave. italian bistro. Don't ask for butter, there is none--olive oil only here!
I met a friend here for a late dinner. The wait staff is very friendly and capable. We had a nice, long dinner with good wine, good food, and good service.
Good food and attentive service. Classic dishes prepared well.
Another great meal during our visit to NYC. We were very pleased!!!!
The restaurant is very close to the Baryshnikov Arts Center. We had dinner at Tavola after a performance. The burrata was very flavorful, the pizza with fig was unusual and delicious. I enjoyed my spaghetti vongole very much. We would gladly return when next we are in need of dinner in the same neighborhood.
Excellent menu. Been here more than 3 times and there's no dish that ever disappointed me. Great service, too.
This restaurant especially the pizza was so much better the first time I went there 2 years ago. This time the Caeser salad was very good and rigatoni was done just right. Pizza was just OK.
Food was great, place was dusty, the place needs to be cleaned. bathroom was not the nicest clogged sink wet floor no ac window open
We had broadway show tickets and didn't want the typical 'pre show dinner' restaurant. Tavola was a real gem....we loved both the food and service! To top it off, the waiter let us know when happy hour was about to end (5:30) and asked if we wanted refills! I highly recommend this quaint Italian restaurant!
We've eaten there once before. The pizza is still great, but we were disappointed with the eggplant parmigiana this time after loving it last time. We'd go back one more time to see if it's better again.
Food was good and reasonably priced .. they only serve wine and beer .. good selection of wine .. waiter was friendly and helpful ..more of a casual place with a rustic Italian feel ... many varieties of wood oven pizza too
Pasta aglio & olio was not drained.
Is a very simple Italian dish.
Just spaghetti al dente, drained + olive oil & garlic. Dry. No sauce.
Pasta overcooked laid on lot of water.
Food and service was excellent! So busy even early on a Monday night-always our go to place when in Midtown!
Family of 4 with 18 and 25 year olds. Make a reservation. Great Italian food with an excellent location. Very knowledgeable waiter and the food was great. Highly recommend.
Great choice in a crowded area. Went at 930pm and it was fairly empty. Have the papradelle ragu and it was delightful. Very knowledgeable and attentive wait staff as well.
Great service and great food.
2 members of our 4 person party were 45 mins late for our reservation, and they were able to seat us when the latecomers arrived. We had never been to Tavola and chose it because of the location and very reasonable prices. We all LOVED our food. The goat cheese arugula pistachio salad was one of my favorite salads. Mild and delicious. My niece loved the salmon, her mom loved the risotto special, my brother loved the whole wheat pasta with salmon and pesto, and the Grecco pizza was very flavorful. The service was attentive and friendly. This was our first time at this restaurant and we all agreed we'd be back.
Second time at Tavola Had a 5:45 reservation only a few tables were taken. Our server was not very friendly and seemed to be rushing us. Had to ask for second glass of wine and asked for extra red sauce he brought it but no spoon... Seemed to be more interested in hanging out at the bar than adding to our dinning experience. The food was delicious as always but we felt the service adversely impacted our experience.
Great atmosphere!! Just a little disappointed that I mentioned the special occasion, my son's 21 st birthday on reservation, and it was never mentioned by waitstaff :( But meal was a success anyway
Excellent food, staff, value. Loved it!
Excellent. We were visiting NYC. Tavola was recommended by a friend. Out waiter very nice. Food was excellent. Wine was good.
Great pizza (we had the wild boar sausage and wild mushroom), great bread, great service, and reasonably priced wine. Could have been a little cooler at our table, but wasn't unreasonably warm. Will definitely go back.
The wait staff were incredibly attentive and hospitable. They gave excellent recommendations. The price was great for the value and the ambiance felt like a little restaurant in Italy. It was great I will definitely be back.
We were staying at Marriott Courtyard just a block up the street, so we found the restaurant online and decided to give it a try. Wow we were glad we did! We had pasta dishes and pizza which were all excellent. The bottle of Chianti Riserva was nice too. Our waiter was very attentive and cordial, and overall is was a great experience. This is a little neighborhood Italian place that satisfies. We would definitely return.
Excellent. Secondly time there. Highly recommended
First time dining at this restaurant. We both enjoyed our dinner. Notable was the charcuterie and the pastas. Next time I'll ask for a little lighter touch on the sauce. The wait staff was professional and very accommodating. I will return.
Nice atmosphere, not over the top. Just right. Good menu selection ‼️
Have been here several times and loved it once again. Brought my sister and husband and they loved the food and we will all be back again
We are here before the Billy Joel concert at Madison Square Gardens. Great location. Great food. We would happily return.
Loved the food. Everything was great. Particularly enjoyed the meatball-soup special, the lasagna and the pizza.
We went there for the pizza and after we got our drinks was told the pizza was not on the menu. We were also put in the very back of the restaurant where the table was tiny.
One of the best meals I had in a long time.... would def recommend!
