Taverna Rossa - Craft Pizza & Beer Ratings and Reviews
First visit to Taverna Rossa for brunch. Overall was good. Enjoyed the Biscuit with gravy also had the Eggs benedict, but preferred t he Biscuit with gravy. Filling and hardy. Other patrons were enjoying pizza. We will be back to give it a try. Service was excellent!
Taverna was recommended to me by a friend. We took our family that included a 4 year old and twin one year old girls. Atmosphere was fantastic. Waitstaff was wonderful. The hostess lacked personality and didn't appear to want to be bothered when we asked to switch tables, didn't know whether the fans could be adjusted - just an overall bad attitude to be a hostess. Food was excellent. Appetizers were just as described and delicious. Breakfast pizzas were great and the dessert couldn't be beat. We will definitely return!
I met my family here for a birthday brunch. They sat us near the lovely outdoor patio, where we could see the pond and sunshine. It was a little cool, so they closed some of the side windows for us, and let us move one table over. The service was a tad slow, but it was a relaxed brunch, so it didn't concern me too much, and the waitress was nice. I ordered the stuffed biscuit with gravy, and it was delicious. The biscuit was moist enough on its own, and the gravy was super yummy. The biscuit had ground sausage inside of it. My mom ordered the Sunrise breakfast pizza. We all had a slice, and it was nice and fresh tasting with lots of veggies, not too heavy. My sister and I plan to go back, because she has her eye on the french toast pizza. We will definitely visit again.
Lily is always amazing, greeting us with a smile every time we arrive. Getting a seated quickly and efficiently with a fantastic server.
Lily ( and Sarah before ) are the reason we continue to come back!
Oh AND the food is FANTASTIC as well
Cookie and cinnamon ice cream!!!!
This has become one of our favorite places. The service has always been great. The draft craft beers change frequently. The consistency of the food and pizza doesn't change. It is fresh, excellent, and we will return again soon. Our favorites are the Farmer's salad and the Farmer's Pie (Pizza).
Went here for the first time for lunch and the waitress explained the menu for first time visitors well. Delicious flat bread pizza, fun appetizers and a good list of alcoholic drinks. The restaurant overlooks a nice pond, so you can sit on the patio if you wanted. Next time I'll have to try the pasta.
went to dinner with some friends and the a friend suggested we try this pizza spot ... i am not a big fan of pizza but the food was really good and the service excellent ....the group hopes to return soon and try out the brunch ... the server was kind enough to hand us the brunch menus to take with us on our way out the door and tell us about the yummy brunch options
I submitted a reservation online for a belated mother's day dinner. I wasn't sure how busy it would be on a Monday night, so wanted to be sure they could accommodate the 6 of us. I wanted to let them know ahead of time that we would have a child and a baby with us so they could make any necessary preparations such as high chairs or a booth. We arrived and they had us set up in a semi circle booth with 2 high chairs on the end with children's menus and crayons ready to go. A++!
Our server was nice, attentive, and told us about all of the specials that were going on at the time. He was also eager to help with the requests of a very talkative 3 year old. The food delivery was prompt and everything came out tasting great!
We went here for Mother's Day- 2 adults and a child, the wait staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was very comfortable. The pizza we had was outstanding, the menu is unique and offers something you won't find at every other restaurant in town. We will definitely be back and will recommend to friends.
Went here for the first time on Mother's Day! The brunch menu was offered in addition. To the regular menu. Bloody Mary's and Mimosas were $5 during brunch hours. The food was great, we had a variety of appetizers, pizzas, and pastas! We will definitely be back, many other things we are dying to try!
Every month we have a girls night out with my co-workers current, new and past. This was a great place to meet. They can accommodate small and large parties. It is a great atmosphere and the server we had was excellent. Even after we paid, he came around asking if we wanted refills on our waters. Love this place!!!
After hearing rave reviews from my friends, I decided to check this place out. The pizza was average at best and the size of the pizza is also small. Service was subpar -- and they weren't even busy! There are so many better pizza places in Dallas. There is nothing special about this place. Food was average and service was lacking.
I love the look of the restaurant, very nice. I went there for lunch and had in my reservation notes it was my friends birthday...even went early to give server my card to pay.
They never acknowledged Her birthday.
I got the Caesar salad add shrimp. Way too much dressing and they gave me 3 shrimp. Won't have that again. Two salads and tea for $36 bucks. I never mind paying for food, as long as its good.
I might go back again and give it a shot for pizza but not really excited about.
With so many other options...
My wife and I had a coupon for a free pizza from Dallas Restaurant Week so we decided to try. We had wings, a salad and pizza. I have not been able to find very many good pizza places in the Dallas area, but I thought theirs was excellent. My wife is not a pizza eater but she liked hers too. We will probably go back here sometime.
This place was found by our good friends and they had to take us here. I am so glad they did...it's awesome! Great pizza, fresh ingredients, and the mason jar app is INCREDIBLE! I started bringing consultants and clients here for lunch and they all love it too. I highly recommend this place. Get either the pepperoni pizza (sounds boring, but just do it!) or the classic rossa. And the stag salad is by far the best on the menu. Enjoy!
Our server was given two other large tables, had to wait to have our order taken and he never returned. No refills on drinks, no asking how our lunch was and no acknowledgement of the birthday for my guest. My chicken breast sandwich was actually minced, diced chicken used for topping a pizza and was terrible. Since our server never came back I could not find anyone to talk to. Worst experience I have had there.
Go here for creative pizza with thin crust and a different menu than you'll see in most places. Service is good with a nice selection of moderately priced wines by the glass. The cocktails are unique and so are the beers. My only compliantly is that it's very noisy even on a weeknight and parking is problematic even though it's located in a decent sized shopping center. Concrete floors and a full house make conversation impossible. But, it's worth it for some very good pizza and appetizers
We dined at Taverna Rossa on a Sunday evening and enjoyed a surprisingly great meal. There was a snafu with our artichoke appetizer (not cooked enough) and it was removed from our bill. Our waitress was excellent. Go see for yourself and you will be delighted!
