About Taverna Opa - Hollywood
An Alternate Approach to Dining:
The combination of great food and celebration created a new meaning for the concept of dining. Taverna Opa employs a different approach to energize and introduce the diner to a different dimension of entertainment. Previous dining norms are broken, spirits are lifted, with every single broken plate and every single napkin in the air. The marriage of traditional with modern is what Taverna Opa promotes as the most rapidly expanding concept in the United States.

Taverna Opa - Hollywood Ratings and Reviews
Don't go here for a romantic dinner. Go here for a light-hearted, fun evening that will probably include some patrons joining a belly dancer gyrating on a table top.
The food is good. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is engaging.
They also have a reasonable selection of Greek wines.
We had a family dinner. We sat outdoors by the water and watched the beautiful boats go by. The indoors area was very crowded and noisy, but the outdoors dining experience was very pleasant. The service was excellent. The food was really good. The saganaki, the grilled calamari were really good. We shared appetizers including Greek salad, eggplant salad, stuffed grape leaves as well as the saganaki and calamari. As a main course we ordered grilled sea bass, fried smelt and lamb chops. They are excellent.
All in all it was a great restaurant and we would highly recommend it.
The food was excellent. We had grilled octopus for an appetizer and olives and feta cheese. Main course was Chilean Sea Bass over Greek potatoes and spinach. I had the grilled lamb chops excellent. We also had a bottle of Greek White wine . Very nice evening.
When we arrived there, there was no one to greet us at the hostess /valet stand. We waited for 20 minutes even with a reservation. The restaurant floor was flooded with water and had to walk on puddles to get to our tables. We left and went to gigi's next door. Sorry, but I will never eat here again.
Service was great. Food was very salty . They need to update their prices from this app . Martinis that were listed at $9 on the app were $12 on their menu. Prices are higher at this place compared to the app's menu . My wife enjoyed her shrimp dish . The rice pilaf was salty though. I had the Branzino but salty plus you get the rice too. We sat outdoors the view was great. Vitale our waiter was great . I felt bad he had to serve us the so salty dishes . Nice portion on the saganaki.
The restaurant is located along the water which makes for a nice view. The food was delicious and fresh tasting. The hummus is a must try as they bring it to the table for the guests to mix up. Great Greek music, along with belly dancing for entertainment. Although the entertainment is great, I would suggest the music be turned down a bit. Would definitely recommend dining here.
The service is excellent! They truly make you feel like part of their little Greek family. The food is delicious; the ingredients are fresh and prepares quickly so we didn't have to wait long. The portions are great, especially their group menu options. The whole staff if so sweet and dedicated to making your experience the best possible. There's also a belly dancer, and it's fun to see how people dance with her.
Overall amazing experience, worth the drive and would recommend to anyone!
It was very quiet and not the party atmosphere we were expecting for a birthday party. There was a dj booth with no DJ and a belly dancer who tried her best to dance to music that was hardly audible. The Sangria pitchers were $35 but were mostly juice. The Greek salad and cold platter was delicious, maybe skip on a weekday.
FIRST OF SOME OF OUR APETIZERS CAME AT THE SAME TIME AS THE DINNERS. THEY THROW THE FOOD AT YOU WE BARELY HAD ANY SPACE ON THE TABLE AND THE FOOD WAS COLD.
I SHOULD OF SENT THE DINNERS BACK UNTIL WE FINISHED THE APETIZERS. I JUST HATE TO SEND FOOD BACK WHO KNOWS IT HTE REHEAT THE SAME FOOD AND THEN IT WILL BE OVERCOOKED. I RECOMMEND THAT IF YOU ARE ORDERING APETIZERS MAKE SURE YOU STRESS TO THEM TO DELIVER THEM SEPARATE......YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO TELL THEM THAT YOU DONT WANT YOUR APETIZER AND DINNER AT THE SAME TIME, BUT AT THIS RESTAURANT YOU DO....I WOULD NOT GO BACK HERE.....WE LOVE OTHER GREEK PLACES IN PEMBROKE PINES....
