Took friends from Argentina. Good food raucous. Borderline loud
Bad service
Great food and a fun place to take out of town

Horrible service.Staff not familiar with English and could not get orders accurately. Most appeared to be from Eastern Europe and had significant impairment in their English language skills. Everyone not served at the same time, water glasses not refilled, pita had to be specifically requested (It was a Greek Taverna) We had dined there years ago and it simply was no longer the fun place to go to
I love this place- every item you order is amazing! The lamb chops were perfectly cooked and seasoned! The hummus is amazing and the server was cute too!
Great food, great fun! Loved the music, dancing and over all experience.
Great 😁👍
Tzotzil I was very good as was Athenian shrimp and homemade hummus. Service was decent for dinner rush. Located on the water, it is a wonderful location. Parking is valet only and gets full quickly so arrive early or park across the street (if you can find a spot!). I would recommend to friends to go!
Delicious food! Good, pretty attentive and nice waiter. Unprofessional and rude hostess! Very loud and rowdy inside - but outside much more peaceful and beautiful views.
Sorry. Got sick and could not go. I apologize for not cancelling.
Very joyful! Excellent food and service.
More than disappointed on several matters. One guest ordered a soup which was served tepid, another ordered lamb chops medium which were served tepid so greasy, very well done, tough, unable to cut with knife provided and did I mentioned tough. Another had a piece of fish, which was overcooked and very difficult to filet. Meat stuck the the bones and most of the meat could not be removed from bones. Lemon chicken was over doused with lemon as if to try to mask the overcooked, dried out piece which showed dried out edges.
Did not stay for dessert and we usually try the desserts.
Better Greek restaurants in the area.
The good:
The view was amazing~ sunset on the inter-coastal. It almost made us forget how long we were waiting without so much as a piece of bread...
The food was well prepared and interesting. We both had fish. Salad and appetizers were good.
Our waiter was nice and cheerful, just wanted to be dancing on the tables, rather than paying attention to customers.
The bad:
Server forgot our bread, appetizers, and salads. Food was dropped on our table after sitting there for over an hour. He apologized sincerely. Then forgot our wine.
The belly dancer dancing on the tables was uncomfortable to me (just from a sanitation standpoint). I kept wondering if someone had been dancing on our table before we arrived.
The music was very loud for dinner hour. Made conversation challenging.
Best lamb chops, ton of fun, order the Zeus
My wife and I both enjoy Mediterranian food and you will not be disappointed by dining here. We asked for outside seating and we were seated right next to the estuary for a nice view. Our server, Naejda, was fantastic. She has a bubbly personality and is quick to please and offer suggestions. I forgot to mention that we had reservations thru Open Table when we came in and when I told her she jumped right on it to make sure we received credit. There's a very good wine selection and of course it being a Greek restaurant, they had plenty of Greek wines to select from too. You're given a mortar and pestle with chick peas and olive oil to make your own hummus at the table. It also comes with bread to shmear it onto. My wife ordered the lamb chops which came with mixed vegetables and Greek lemon potatoes. I had the roast lamb with lemon potatoes and string beans. I was expecting sliced pieces of lamb, but it is served with 3 pieces in a thick triangular shape and was fork tender. Both of our meals were superb. Not many restaurants prepare lamb as tasty and as good as Greek restaurants do. We finished our dinner with a shared baklava. Again, very good. By the time we were leaving there was a nice size crowd in the restaurant and more were coming in. Obviously, this is a well liked restaurant and we're glad we ate there. We highly recommend dining here when in Hollywood or the immediate area.
Sat outside and it was quiet with a nice view. The food was pretty good, would give 4 stars for food.
If you do not mind a dirty looking restaurant, belly dancing on dining tables.... This is your place!
Oh, I forgot, stale bread, but it as replaced after complaining
The wine list is excellent. Lots of good Greek wines. Unfortunately, they were out of a wine we wanted, so we selected a different one, which was quite good. The lamb chops were awesome.
GOOD SERVICE EXCELLENT FOOD LOVED THE GRILLED OCTOPUS
Delicious food and great atmosphere
Even if you make a reservation you will wait! We waited for an hour and we had reservations.
But worth it . Kebabs are delicious.
The restaurant is absolutely filthy. Keep the bread in a bin NEXT to the garbage. Serve chickpea spread in porous unclean wooden bowls. Recommend a Tetanus shot before going.
Great food. Service was good. Waiter was courteous but seemed rushed and went thru things too fast.
There was a belly dancer that danced on the hour when we were there. Entertaining and was not continuous thru the meal which was good.
A little pricey but I guess you have to expect that due to the location.
All in all, it was a good experience.
Food is always good and authentic, service is very nice with smiling and courteous staff.
Fun, great good, friendly staff, good value for waterfront dining.
Awesome!! Everything was excellent.
Terrible service - 2 waiters who said it wasn’t actually their table but we’re doing us a big favour by taking our order.
Kale salad was tough , feta cheese was tasteless. Main course came before appetizers. No sharing plates were given even after asking.
I would not return to this restaurant.
The food is great and the location is very lively on a Saturday night with music and belly dancers. My only concern is the fact that the dancers dance in top of the tables and encourage patrons to dance with them and although I saw the staff wipe down tables after patrons eat; I didn’t see them wipe them down after they were danced on. Might want to wipe them down prior to setting them up.
Food is always delicious. Service is unpredictable
Horrible.
I have long been a fan and patron of this Restaurant and have recommended it often. It is sadly one of the few places we have that offers a nice water view and is reasonably priced for generally good food.
Friends are visiting from Wisconsin so thought it the perfect place to meet at 5:30pm for an early dinner. I'd told them it's "mostly outdoors" and very casual. As I've been there many times, I know it can get noisy and rowdy but did NOT expect this at 5:30pm on a Saturday. I did expect some "after the beach" people and some people with kids having an "early dinner" and possibly some other "early birds". They seated is on a narrow catwalk next to a HUGE and very noisy party. I'm not objecting to the party -- great business for a slow time at the restaurant. And very nice people too. However -- it was so LOUD, we could not have a conversation. The restaurant should have TURNED AWAY other business at this time rather than accept Reservations when they put something like this in that space. Not only was it unpleasantly LOUD but the area we sat in was too narrow to have people sitting and waiters passing -- was constantly bumped into. We asked to move and were told there's "nothing we can do" even though we SAW other tables become available outside. The waiter was ineffective and the hostess was inexperienced. The best explanation I can offer is that in true "Big Fat Greek Wedding" style -- this place is family run with the waiters being the wayward nephews and the hostess being the daughter of the owner. No other explanation would be remotely plausible.
The food this time was not as good as usual either.
Sad.
I was looking forward to a pleasant evening and now will have to find another Greek Restaurant to go do (easy enough in Broward County) and will go to the place next door (GG's) when entertaining and want a place with a view. Or even Le Tub up the street for a good burger.
Shame on the Taverna OPA people.
The hostess (young lady from Brazil) was 5 star - cheerful and very helpful in getting us a waterfront table.
Ate here a year ago and enjoyed it but this time -no.
Server started well but it went downhill fast.
I don't often give poor reviews and to be fair it was a beautiful start to a 3 day weekend so I think the place was not prepared to be full. Heard a comment about the inside being packed.
But with Open Table showing that a week early when I booked, they should do better.
Water, bread and wine came in reasonable time but after that long waits.
Never had the water refilled.
Server rarely came by
Entrée took 45 minutes after ordering and came out warm at best except for a thing or two fresh off the grill.
Need to stage the plate much better.
What sums it up is the server never asking how things were during nor at the end of the meal.
Lost the opportunity to sell desert or after dinner drink.
We had a great time and the food was really good. We arrived a little bit late for our reservation but the owner or manager George, took us under his wing and made sure we were taken well care of. Enjoyed all the traditional Greek appetizers, hearty service and quality food with friendly service. Yum.
Very noisy and requested music be lowered. Need to sit outside.
Great water views. Excellent service.
Second time here; love the energy & authentic Greek offerings, but waitstaff could use some courses in customer friendliness. No one even smiled except the hostess who seated us outside. There are other places for Greek food—may try them next time.
Excellent meal more food than you can possibly eat at a great price Fun place
The last time I was there was at least 10 years ago and it was so much fun. People were singing and dancing on the tables and throwing plates. It was a party. None of that seems to exist anymore. The food was very good and our waiter was excellent but I really wanted the party atmosphere.
Made an early reservation as we were going to a show. Restaurant was almost empty when we got there. Took about 10 to 15 minutes to get a server to us. Seemed there were plenty but no one came. After we got a server things got much better. Told the server we had a time issue and he took care of us. The food was excellent. We got the meat platter for our entree. Seasoning was was great and the portion was enough for me and the wife. We had a table overlooking the water. Other than the initial issue with getting a server the experience was good. Also parking is difficult in the area. They have a $4 valet parking and it is worth it rather than hunting for a spot and walking.
Went there a few weeks ago after not being there for more than 4 years. It's not what it use to be. Run down a little. Needs a reno. Food is mediocre
WENT FOR A FAMILY REUNION CELEBRATED A BDAY THOUGHT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO A NICE PLACE ... BUT IT WAS BAD AND EVERYTHING I DONT MIND PAY A GOOD PLACE OF FOOD WIT HIGH PRICE ... BUT ITS VERY IMPORTANT THE SERVICE IS GOOD . ALL THE SERVICE WERE IN A CORNER IT TOOK A HOURS FOR SOMEONE TOOK A ORDER AND NOBOBY CAME TO CKECK US . VERY DISORGANIZED VERY BAD SERVICE , A GIRL TOOK US TO THE TABLE AND THEN SHE DISAPPEAR AND THEN A GUY COME TO TAKE OUR DRINKS HE NEVER CAME BACK WITH IT ... WE WENT TO THE BAR TO GET OUR OWN , AND THEN WE HAVE TO CALL ONE OF THE WAITER THAT WAS WALKIN IF HE COULD TAKE OUR ORDER ECT ... VERY BAD DECISION NO TO GO CELEBRATED PLACE .
