Frequent diner here... always good
Bad experience this time: someone used my name to get a reserved table
Hosts apoligised and seated us 20 mins later but refused to point out the party that usurped us!
Desert was on the house
eating on the outside veranda is fine--much less noise which is a problem inside
Really quite good. The comp hummus and pita was very good. Very attentive wait person and good floor manager.
Food was undercooked and over salted. Waiter was excellent
Wife liked it very much. I felt it was way to crowded to be enjoyed. Tables are too close.
We have been to Kyma before and it was always good. Unfortunately, their service was really awful this time. They kept us waiting for 20 minutes before seating us even though a table was available and, when we asked to be seated as our friends were about 5 minutes out, they refused. We will not be going back.

Meal took two hours, one hour waiting for entre. Service very slow, dirty dishes not removed between courses. They need more busboys. On reservation I noted it was an anniversary. Restaurant never acknowledged it. Very disappointing.
Food and service were the best as always.
We ordered two glasses of merlot wine, $8 each.
Before ordering the wine, I asked the waiter about the wine. He said it was very good.
It was not drinkable.
I mentioned to the waiter that the wine was a challenge.
I thought he would take it back, perhaps I should have asked him to take it back.
He did not.
I have been drinking red wine for 30 years.
I have eaten at Taverna Kyma numerous times over the past 4 years and have recommended it to friends.
I will continue to dine there.

Excellent experience! Ask for a table outside much quieter
We have dined and enjoyed the restaurant many times. Last visit was on a Friday night; very busy and had to wait for them to fulfil reservation. Had gyros as entry and was disappointed: small portion of mushy meat buried under LOTS of sour cream sauce. Their other entrees are much better! In the future, we will return to earlier dining on a week night.
The food is always fresh & tasty (the complementary humus is the best), the servers are always attentive & friendly. The ambiance could be better & when all tables are taken it is quite noisy but the consistency of the food and menu selections keep me coming back fairly often.
We are frequent diners at Taverna Kyma, and the food and service have always been very good. Our favorite waiter, Alfred, is unfailingly attentive and efficient. He also knows the food and offers advice when we ask for it. We always dine outside because the inside is always crowded and a bit too noisey for us. We are never unhappy at Taverna Kyma.

We enjoyed a very nice dinner. The restaurant knows how to grill fish simply. The Greek salad was delicious as was the dessert. The belly dancer added to a lovely meal.
The choice of a la carte while not economically sound might have been better than having all the appetizers thrown at you at once then as if they needed the table having the hodge lodge of meats tossed at you. Servers were neither conversant with the English language nor knowledgeable about naming what they served. To top it off, a $13.95 Martini was served in a water glass because they were ‘very busy’. Will not go back.

We booked for 7pm and we're not seated until 7.35. Then we were rushed to make choices until we told the waiter we needed time to decide. When the order came it was not correct but the food that we did get was excellent. We have been there before and will go again just not on a Saturday at 7pm. It is very noisy and difficult to have a conversation.

Very good food and the service was as well. Although the restaurant was empty it was still noisy but not so that we couldn't carry on a conversation. I would recommend it if one is interested in eating authentic Greek food.
We sat outside, which was perfect because the music is blasting loud inside. You can hear the music outside and still talk to each other. Food is wonderful, but we had an 8 pm reservation and 2 out of the 8 of us were disappointed to hear that the gyro dinner was sold out!Service very good as usual.
The music they play is incredibly LOUD and is so LOUD you can't even have a conversation with your dining friends without shouting and is absurd you can't even talk as isn't that the point of dining--getting to eat good food & talking with your friends?

Awesome restaurant. Food an a+ every time. Brought out of town guests and they were not disappointed! Too bad in season it’s hard to get a reservation but that’s because everyone wants to go!!
I been eating in this restaurant father past 3 years. This evening the entire meal from the usually excellent & whole fish had zero taste!!!
