Staff was friendly and food was delicious. Sat outside in the back garden outside which was set up nice and couldn’t really hear the street noise.
Stayed right next-door at Hotel indigo, honestly no complaints food was amazing & staff was on top of everything. Will definitely return
What a Lovely time my party and I had over the Easter/Passover holiday weekend!
Maurizio and the entire staff took great care of us all. (kudos to Lanna, our waitress extraordinaire! ;) who had the bartender whip up a juice "mocktail" for my 11 year old, so he felt special during the toast.
Thanks to Andrea for the instant feedback when our party size changed last minute
We will definitely be back again!
Food was very good and I appreciated the gluten free pasta options. The gluten free carbonara was excellent. Service was also very good- I was feeling indecisive but the waitress was very patient and even humored me by flipping a coin when I was trying to choose between entrees. Good music, as well.
Gracious owner/ host, Maurizio, has assembled just the right team of chefs, wait staff and bartenders to ensure a standout dining experience. My friends and family enjoyed the Italian specialties and the ambiance of the restaurant. We look forward to our next visit.
Taverna Di Bacco is a wonderful Neighborhood Gen. When we travel to New York we always make a point to go to Bacco, even if we aren't staying in the Lower East Side. When we walk into Bacco it feels like we've come home and the food is always amazing.
small gem of an italian restaurant in the lower east side, casual environment, busy bar, delicious italian comfort food. Everyone enjoyed their meals, amazing short ribs, meatballs, and tasty pasta dishes. The mussel appetizer is a winner. Our server couldn't have been nicer, more informative or efficient. The wine selection was reasonably priced. the bottle we had was very good. This could easily become a regular dining spot.
Wonderful dining experience! ExcellentFood, service, ambiance!
We had a really nice pasta dinner the appetizers we had were very good - Brussel Sprouts and Eggplant, peppers and Mozzarella, simple but tasty.
We all had very different Pasta dishes which were very good they are not huge portions but enough. The staff was very friendly/nice. A nice atmosphere not sure what it is like when it is very busy it was a Tuesday night after the Holiday. Overall a nice neighborhood restaurant/lounge they have an outside garden.
Only thing they did not have Arugula and some other item they were out of stock.
Our group expanded to from 2 people to 6 at the last minute. The hostess went out of her way to do some shuffling and sat us at a secondary bar space which was perfect for our group!. Cocktails were great and we asked our server to pick a selection of appetizers for us. We tried meatballs (amazing), a pasta cake with a mac n cheese dip, bruschetta and a few others. Each was wonderful. Great place to grab a quiet, delicious bite and drinks on a street where many of the restaurant choices are noisy and frenetic. We returned later with just 2 of us and sat at the bar and had a great night chatting with "detective Dan" the bartender.
Very fresh ingredients, well-cooked and presented. Convivial atmosphere and good service .
Wonderful dinner! Definitely add it to your list!
Fantastic. Booked a last minute reservation purely out of convenience. What a great surprise. We enjoyed it so much that we returned the next evening. Greeted warmly by the chef as if we were old friends. Everything was prepared perfectly. Steak tartare, spaghetti squash "salad" were amazing. Chef is a lovely man and we hope to return again and again.
My sister who was in town from MD and I went on the coldest night in January, we were welcomed with open arms and warm smiles. The special Lobster Bisque made with cauliflower puree instead of cream was truly inspired, we ordered a second bowl! The food was absolutely exquisite and Chef Marcicio is lovely. A cool spot I would return in a heartbeat!
Despite having to tell 3 different people that we were there and had a reservation 3 other parties were seated ahead of us. The table where we were seated is right in front of the open kitchen so wait staff were constantly coming by and carrying plates of food over our heads.
On a positive note, the wait staff is friendly and when they are providing service, the service is good. The food took a bit longer than expected but when it arrived it was delicious. The wine list is good and reasonably priced.
I loved my experience at Taverna Di Bacco. The ambience is fabulous--candlelit and quiet, but cozy and comfortable. The service is friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious authentic Italian. It will be on my list of regulars from now on.
I made a reservation for 3 at 8:30pm and found out I would be running late. Unfortunately the phone number listed on the website does not get a live person, so I could not let them know. I ended up arriving at the place at 9:15pm with 6 people and was met by the Chef after entering. He was so pleasant and seated us as though we were expected all of the time. Our dinner was amazing. We let the chef prepare us appetizers of his choice which were spectacular. The Burratta on a bed of spaghetti squash is a must of you go. Pasta and porchetta dishes were spot on and everyone raved about their meals. Finished with wonderful desserts picked by the chef again and great conversation as he stopped by a number of times to check on us. It felt like we were in his home dining and not at a restaurant.
A memorable evening that I look forward to repeating the next time I am in the Lower East Side.
This is a lovely restaurant! Food was outstanding, great cocktails, and the most wonderful, warm, & gracious staff! The ONLY downside is that it's rock concert loud! To be fair, we were there at 9:00 PM on a Saturday... we'll definitely be back, but maybe not at peak time.
Consistently amazing food! The best pasta this side of the atlantic.
Super owners. Very good food. Very nice night out. You will definitely enjoy.
Amongst all the restaurants in NYC, this is one of our favorite local restaurants! Cannot recommend it enough!!!
Been here twice, incredible service and food both times. Definitely pricey, but worth it. Will be back!
Taverna Di Bacco has turned into our favorite Italian restaurant in NYC. The pasta's are impeccable, the meats are cooked and taste perfect but above all else the service and hospitality from the staff and owners/chef is the absolute best.
Great Italian restaurant in LES, Chef Maurizio is always warm and charming. Menu has some staples but you can hear specials of beef, pork and veal. I always perfect the eggplant . In the warmer months the outdoor patio is refreshing.
We will continue to be frequent guests.
Service was good, nice garden area, but food was really poor. We ordered steak, medium rare. Two orders served wrong, well done. It had no flavor. Husband ordered pasta dish, not even up to mediocre. SO many better restaurants in the area.
Service was horrible, wait staff fairly incompetent, and the restaurant was not crowded. One entree completely forgotten. Much better choices in the neighborhood.
Excellent music, polite and professional staff, delicious food and superb wine selection
We all enjoyed our meals completely
Very quiet on a sat in the summer. Truly fantastic. Great food. Shannon was an awesome waitress with great recommendations. Would go back
Another perfect summer evening in Maurizio's garden. Spectacularly fresh, seasonal food. Delightful service. So relaxing. Can't wait for our next visit...
Everything was perfect (except for the deafening noise coming from the patio of the restaurant next door's bottomless brunch).
Lovely space, good food and very friendly staff!!!
Many in my party were disappointed in the food. Avoid the lamb (most expensive dish that was recommended by server) and the fish (disliked by a fish-loving party member).
We love this place! The food, the drinks, the service, and of course Chef Maurizio!!!!
You wouldn't believe how good the burger is. My husabnd, who LOVES Italian food and pasta, decided, for some reason, to order the burger. It was one of the best we've ever had. He's usually very picky about condiments and we didn't need ANY on this one!
A group of 11 turned up here simply for reasons of geography and that they had some gluten free choices. I would have given all categories 5 stars but then readers may think this is set up. The bartender was wonderful, attentive, helpful, etc. The waitress was lovely as well. attentive, kind, and not intrusive. Everything came out at once and was hot. The setting is great and the outdoor dining is very quiet. The accommodated my friend's need for no gluten and gluten free beer.
We had the assortment of meats & cheeses, meatballs, as well as the octupus as a appetizer. My wife had the chicken (pollo) which is one of the chefs specials and I had the chicken parm. I can't say enough about my dish as it was different in a great way and my limited taste of my wife's was also great. You will not be sorry.
Always delish. Taverna Di Bacco never fails to provide very good food in a relaxed atmosphere. Maurizio, the owner is a wonderful guy who appreciates your business. One of our go-to spots.
A wonderful restaurant. Had dinner for 10 guests for my partner's birthday. The staff were accommodating and patient with the large group - more than that, they were cheerful and friendly! The food is exceptional, and we met the chef after who is a delight. I would recommend for large groups to a romantic dinner for two.
1st we went there b/c of an email fr Open Table implying that it was "NY Italian Restaurants Food Wk". Well it appears Open Table never informed the restaurant. However, Mauricio the owner found out about the mix up and turned the whole experience into a taste testing menu and the rest is history. We will be going bk there often and always. Total class act from top to bottom. 5 stars
My boyfriend and I accidentally discovered this restaurant a few months ago and we've returned 3 times the staff could not be any more kind and attentive. The chef is beyond welcoming and his passion is infectious. The food is amazing. And I had the pleasure of actually guessing one of his secret ingredients correctly. If you love food and ready for an amazing culinary experience we 100% reccomend this restaurant
