Scallops in Bacon
Local fresh scallops wrapped in apple smoked bacon, drizzled with a sweet chili glaze served with tequila aioli
We waited a long time to get our meals. They did comp us a couple drinks. I eventually got my side order but took it to go. I did like the atmosphere and my guests both liked their food. Salmon salad and Cod. Our waitress was very apologetic.
It was a nice night in Plymouth! We were able to sit outside at a high top table. We loved the outside atmosphere. The service was great, food was delicious and delivered to our table in a reasonable timeframe. We have no negative comments.
The space was very very noisy, and the music was too loud, but service was very good. The food was excellent, especially the fried pickles, scallops in bacon, seafood casserole (veg were excellent), lobster roll and Asian chicken wrap.
Friday night date night! It was very crowded and loud but fun! Food was good and we ordered lobster salad and salmon burger. The Caesar salad was a bit wilted and didn’t seem fresh. We also got oyster shooters and they had cocktail sauce in the tequila which tasted like drinking tomato juice. I would suggest just tequila or tequila and lemon for those who really want to taste the tequila and oyster and not feel like they’re drinking tomato juice.
The outdoor dining area was about 6 feet away from the outdoor bar area of another restaurant. The bar area was loud and had live music, which made it difficult to have a conversation with my friends at dinner.
Not enough wait staff to cover all of the customers, so we waited a long time for orders to be taken.
The food was excellent!
Everything was “off” . We understand times are tough when it comes to good staffing but this was not a good experience. Waitress was young and very inexperienced- no idea what a correct martini or Manhattan was. Drinks were weak and made incorrectly even after being sent back . Apps were served at the same time as entrees with no apologies just shoved in our face . Food was just ok . Much better choices in the area . I rarely write reviews especially negative but we brought friends here from Boston area who said we should have gone next door to Woods..we were very disappointed 😞
The happy hour from 2 to 5 was what brought me here but the service and food will keep me coming back.
Lovely setting near the wharf, good tables, friendly staff. Nice French rose wine and a sangria for my table. Enjoyed the fish tacos for lunch.
Sat outside as it was a beautiful day.
Our server was fantastic very friendly and attentive.
The frozen sangria was delicious.
They also brought out a bottle of water and cups with ice when we were first sat.
The steamers were good, the fried clam strips were very good and someone had a bacon wrapped scallop dish that was delicious!
We went at lunchtime we weren’t rushed and definitely will be back again
Sat outside. The weather was beautiful. The service was excellent. The food and drinks were delicious!
Feels like a casual sports bar/restaurant but the food absolutely crushes it. Big menu, big cocktail/wine/beer list. Calamari and crab cakes were hands-down the best my hubby and I have EVER had. Everything was perfectly cooked and the desserts were rich and delicious without being overly sweet. Service was solid without being intrusive. Nice water views. Would definitely return & recommend.
Sat on Patio Deck and they had a good musician playing. Very enjoyable however food was just OK. Fisherman's Platter was a little dried out like it was hanging around after cooking. Other members of my party enjoyed what they got. Even though my experience was not the best when it came to the actual food, I would give the place another try to see if I just ordered the wrong thing on the wrong day.
Service was awful and drinks were warm. Not the best time but food was good.
The best service and food! Brunch is always amazing, definitely recommend making a reservation when you can because it’s always packed.
honestly i love tavern on the wharf but last night it was not what i expected. I also know that everyone is getting back to a normal and i’m sure staffing can be difficult. waitress was amazing but 30 minutes before our first drink, appetizers were great. I got a burger and it just wasn’t presented well, looked like just thrown together. my boyfriend got a bbq burger (i think that’s the name) and his was presented well and he loved it. I love the cocktails there but last night they did not taste the same and it was disappointing because they can be pricey. I hope they get the staffing they need especially for a saturday night because i want to go back to that restaurant.
Service outside was VERY SLOW. Appetizer came before 1st drink.
bathroom had just had a flood and there were puddles on floor.
Music was nice and the food was good but the service was mediocre. Sat there for over 15 min before I even got a menu.
Allie was an exceptional waitress and food was very good
Loved the cocktail menu...meal selections were great...our server was so friendly, personable and attentive...town parking lot so close...parking after 7PM is free.
Will definitely return.
Excellent atmosphere and service! Portions and prices were very reasonable! I'm gluten free and nearly all of the menu can be made gluten free which is so rare to find. Will definitely be back!
Nice restaurant with a view of the docks. Good service. Beer and cocktail selection was good. Buck a shuck happy hour oysters were fresh. Fried oysters were divine. A little pricey, but it is a tourist destination.
Sat outside for lunch, it was lovely. Enjoyed the Truly slushy drinks and salads.
Service and food were wonderful
Tavern on the wharf has been one of our favorites family restaurants since we moved here 5 years ago. The food is consistently delicious, and there is a huge variety on the menu that would appeal to every taste.
My son chose to come here for his birthday. We had a wonderful waitress, and the staff sang happy birthday
This was our first visit to this restaurant and we will not return. Very loud and hard to carry on a conversation. Service was very slow and 2 out of 4 meals were wrong. It took quite a while to get drinks. While our server was very nice and apologetic, it was not enough to go back.
Our waitress went above and beyond to make my birthday a memorable one. Thank you to everyone. I will definitely be returning and so will my friends and family.
The waitstaff was great and the food was beyond good!
Very good, would visit again
Food was very disappointing. The salmon was dry and the pice was very small served over spinach and two table spoons of white plain rice. Bad....when we shared with server she just looked at us like oh sorry.
Awesome! Great music and service
Casual, waterfront restaurant/bar with a fun family/friends atmosphere. Views of the bay and marina.
Food was average to above, service was friendly and professional. Overall a good option for a casual brunch, lunch, dinner or for drinks and apps.
Fried pickles and eggs Benedict. Great apps and drinks too. Try the mimosa towers.
The noise level was very loud hard to hear your conversation. Should not put people in back bar area unless requested. Band was setting up and kept opening the door and holding open so very cold and windy.
Excellent oysters to start and a lovely meal. Great location with water views. What’s not to like?
Superb service and excellent food! We recommend you give it a try!
it was ok; nothing special to write home about; perhaps if the weather was nicer and we were able to sit outside, the ambience and mood would have been better.
Food was great..buffalo chicken dip and fish tacos were amazing!
Reservation for business lunch. Waitress was kind, courteous and very knowledgeable.
Great service including recommending the Lobster Tacos to my Business partner whom isn’t from this area.
Our waitress was great! She was helpful with suggestions and had everything to us in record time
