A New England tradition. Fresh lobster meat tossed with mayonnaise on a grilled roll with lettuce. Also available hot and buttered
The food was good. However, it was a little too noisy inside the restaurant. Overall, though, it was a great experience and I would definitely go again.
Restaurant is great. Parking is a nightmare. Could not get the app or the pay station to take my card and ended up with a $30 illegal parking ticket.
We were looking for a casual restaurant on/near the water and picked Tavern on the Wharf. Our server, Louis, was awesome. He was entertaining, knowledgeable and steered me in the right direction with ordering the lobster roll, it was soooooo good. My husbands menu choice was just ok which is why this review gets 4 stars instead of 5. We would absolutely go back.
Great good, good sized portions and a very nice atmosphere. My only real con is that it’s a little expensive but I guess that’s to get expected in a tourist area.
We were seated 3 feet from the guitar singer and Mike. You couldn’t hear yourself think. We were with people we haven’t seen in two year and it was impossible to talk. Very disappointed.
Food was good. Service wasn’t great. Waitress was never over to our table to ask if we needed anything. She served the check right as our entrees came out. Took a long time for her to get our drinks too.
Ali was great and the food was delicious!!!
We had a lovely lunch on the patio, with a view of the water. The cold lobster roll was delicious!
Little too loud from the music. It wa a bit ahrd to have a conversation at our table
The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Our waitress was great - friendly and attentive. Overall it was a great experience. Will definitely be back
The food was great but would have liked a better view of the water.
I usually love the food here but lunch was disappointing. I ordered lobster bacon taco and onion rings several times. Somehow it was made differently...the lobster taco was only ok and the onion rings were not good at all...too much batter, dark batter, hardly any onion inside and they were soggy not crisp. I am hoping it just was an off day or maybe they had a different chef?
Just a nice day for brunch.
Always have an amazing experience at the tavern. Great food and service and love the live music outside. My favorite summer spot!
We went in a busy Saturday late afternoon. The staff were friendly and attentive. The good was good. Pleasant experience
Likes the atmosphere- loud music and great views. The menu is huge - too big - and the quality wasn’t great.
Love it there for my daughter who is Gluten Free. They have special ovens just for her so she can order her favorite. Drinks are just ok, but the food and atmosphere is good
Great meal. Some check issues and a manager that was a little young to understand the situation. Great service and delicious food.
Fun night out
Food was quick and delicious
Service was outstanding
My wives fish and chips were very dark in color from old oil and my cod was tough (rubbery) which is a result of aged product. Our server took too long to get us drinks etc.
The front door was locked. And even after I called and said people were waiting outside no one still came to the door to let us in for 20 minutes.
The food was very overpriced for what you got. I understand it's waterfront dining and that's probably why they charge more money.
But the appetizers were pitifully small. The fisherman platter was also extremely small. If you go next door to woods they will give you a better platter much less money.
The service was excellent.
He did his best to try to make good of poor quality of dishes coming from the kitchen.
We were originally sat indoors even though our reservation was made for outdoors. I mentioned it to the hostess and she said it wasn’t in her notes so she sat us indoors but my mother is not fully vaccinated so I checked my email to make sure I did make the reservation for outdoors. And I felt like a jerk but I had to go up and insist that we be sat outdoors per the reservation. The food itself was delicious. It took us asking at least three different people for us to get some silverware so our food was on the cold side when we actually got to start eating it. But like I said it was amazing. The mixed drinks we got had several missing ingredients from what was described on the drink menu. I asked my waitress twice if the drink I had in my hand was really the one I ordered and she insisted that it was. My drink tasted like watered down raspberry vodka and rosé and I wanted the summer sangria which had strawberry purée and fresh blueberries which were nonexistent in my drink🤷♀️ I hate writing negative reviews I feel like a jerk but spending $240 for four people I honestly did expect my drinks to be on point.
We very much enjoyed our meal there and will be returning soon.
We had no utensils on our table and had to ask for them a number of times.. When delivered, the food was not what my wife ordered and had to be replaced by the waitress.
The outdoor space was a disappointment, because there was no view of the ocean. They have a tall fence all around the outdoor space. Service was very slow. The food was average. Parking and the drive in are difficult. We made the effort to sit by the ocean. Otherwise, any other restaurant would have been just the same.
Was happy to find a place that took reservations in Plymouth. Was happier that the food and drinks were outstanding. Good one man band too!
Have been many times, and have not once been disappointed. Great food and great service!
Abby our waitress was great! They didn’t tell her we were her table and we waited 25 minutes but she made it worth the wait!
The waitress was incredible, the menu had just everything you would want and the food was so good.
Got there about 10 minutes before my reservation time but announced myself. Waited an additional 10 minutes to be seated. Very minor, the table was not cleaned down after the last customer.
It was very busy so I understand the delay in bringing the meal. The food was good, loved my server. She was on point. I will definitely visit again.
Always an excellent choice for excellent food in an unassuming and laid back atmosphere.
Service was good but food not on the same level. Ordered lobster roll and was very disappointed. Looked like it was just thrown on the plate with some poor fries. Unfortunately will not be returning to the Tavern for a meal.
Awesome. Need to return prime rib and cod were entrees we chose. Pleased we had soup and salad. Food was so good that nothing was left. Portions so generous that there was no room for desert. Wine also good quality. Fine choice along row of restaurants. Will return.
It was great…there were 5 of us dining and we all got fish…each one of us said the fish was very tasty, fresh and delicious. We sat outside and were able to enjoy the live music from next door. Plan to go back again .
Everyone was pleasant and happy from the 1st person, a nice young black man who had a beautiful smile to the server. Sorry I forgot her name.
She did not rush us. Both my friend and I were happy and would return there.
It was a great time. From the lovey hostess too our waitress Megan. Everything was perfect. Appetizers and food soooo deelish … The girls were so accommodating with having no umbrella to an umbrella to sitting inside… thank goodness they were so gracious… a lovely surprise cake for our friends anniversary and it was sooo good too. We are definitely coming back……
My husband said his mussels were the best he's ever had...and he's had a LOT! Our dinners, both filets, were done perfectly. Great service from friendly, helpful staff. The hostess was very accommodating when I turned down a high top due to mobility issues, very patient with my slow walking (I use a cane) and overall was ready, willing and able to do what was needed to make he happy. We will definitely mark Tavern on the Wharf as a place we will return to!
Our server at the bar and table were both outstanding!
