Food was really good but the service and the wait for our food was a bit long. I got the lobster tacos they were yummy.
Mai Tais were lousy.....all fruit juice!!! 😡 Not good at alllllllllll!
The food was excellent but food and drink service was slow. We sat down at 6:30 at our reservation time but it took 15-20 minutes for our appetizers and an additional 25-30 minutes for our food to be served. This while slow was not the major issue. Our table was next to where the live music was scheduled to begin @ 8PM, and our table area was needed by the band. Because of the slow delivery of our food we did not finish up till 8:30. We were rushed at the end and the band was delayed...
Good food and nice location overlooking the harbor.
We went for brunch
Food was excellent
Food and service was fantastic
Brownie sundae was SO good! We were in a hurry. Our waitress was so pleasant and kept things moving for us.
WE had wonderful food and a very pleasant and professional server.
Great server and the food was amazing. Loved the tots!
Thanksgiving Dinner while we were traveling. We chose the thanksgiving buffet and it was fantastic. Staff were attentive and helpful. Great experience!
This was the first year we went out for Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful time. The food was excellent the service was attentive and the atmosphere was warm. We are planning to go for next Thanksgiving already.
Would not have Thanksgiving here again. We had a 2:30pm reservation. Our table was too small, the restaurant noisy, and the buffet was in a tiny corner of the restaurant with long lines of people cramped in the back of the restaurant. There were not enough plates, the staff did the best that they could carrying heavy trays of food in between people standing in line. The food was spilling all over the place. There seemed to be no thought about the guest experience. The turkey was decent but was only offered a small sliver on my plate. The stuffing stuck to the spoon and I couldn't get more than a drop on my plate. The red bliss mashed potatoes were actually pretty good, even if they were lukewarm. Overall not a good deal for $30. Very disappointed.
Everything was perfect!!!! Great food great service WE are so glad we went for our second year Thanksgiving
Saturday brunch here was a pleasant surprise. Tons of breakfast and lunch options, and it was all good. It would be nice to have a buffet-only option (you also order an omelet or eggs or pancakes, I think, separately and to order) to cut down on the price a bit. But you probably could make the price work just eating the shrimp cocktail! Typical restaurant inside, nothing spectacular, but our waitress was attentive and nice, the food was hot and tasty. I'd go back.
Nice window side table with a view of the harbor. Server was friendly, attentive and efficient. Appetizers were half price and excellent (calamari and quahogs). I ordered the Delmonico steak which was tender and cooked just right. There are many good dining options near Plymouth harbor but we always seem to gravitate to the Tavern on the Wharf for the varied menu and a great dining experience.
This is a wonderful waterfront dining experience. Our table overlooked part of the inner harbor giving us a serene atmosphere. We were waiter on quickly getting the specials of the day and taking our drink order. A beef stew was the soup of the day that was hot, meaty, not too salty, and ample for a starter. The seafood risotto proved to be an ample portion of scallops, shrimp, mussels, and a little lobster thrown in. It was very filling. We enjoyed the side onion rings, comparable to what we expect in onion rings. Throughout the meal, our server was near by serving others and responded to two of our needs quickly. This was a Sunday early evening meal and the restaurant filled quickly while we were dining. Noise level increased, but not intolerable. TV 's had football on very quietly. The home team was not playing, so no out bursts to disturb our meal.
It was my friend's birthday. They were nice to seat us at a window table with a view to the harbor. Meghan was our waitress and she was so helpful and friendly. When I asked for an opinion on what burger to have she helped and she was right. My friend had a chicken sandwich which she really enjoyed. She had never been there although living in Plymouth and vowed she'd be back. She loved it as much as I did.
Buffet was slow to fill, but the waitress was great.
Nice view overlooking the water. Salad was very good. Would visit again.
Delicious food, excellent drinks, terrific servuce.
Fun ambiance. Great service. Food was delicious. They were out of something and very apologetic and accommodating in substituting.
The overall feeling was good, server was a pleasant and proud person
Appetizer, salads and main course all served at the same time and most were cold when they arrived.
Swordfish was very stale and tough.
Not worth the price.
Very loud. Saturday night. All TV screens on, music blasting from the speakers, crowd shouting to surpass the noise level of the music. Not really a quiet dining experience. Rather a fast food environment: eat, pay, go. Decent food quality though. And friendly service.
Arrive just ahead of the wave of dinner diners. Suggest going early. We were there at 6:15 PM and somehow they ran out of lobster!!! REALLY???
Dinner was good but no lobster. Suggest others confirm or reserve their lobsters in advance.
Sadly, this will be our first as well as last trip to Tavern on the Wharf. We were excited about the Sunday value of half-price appetizers but were extremely disappointed when the five different appetizers we ordered arrived to the table ice cold. The mozzarella wedges were hard as a rock, the nachos were similarly so cold that the taco beef was gelatinized and the cheese had already hardened rock solid before it even got to the table. The mussels were cold as were the stuffed cohogs and the entire experience was a terrible disappointment. It seemed that the wait staff likely had left our order sitting for over 20 minutes while the food got colder and colder. We won't be back.
We went for Brunch and the food for the buffet was really over cooked and dry
Evedently Monday is a tough night to eat at the Tavern. We ordered 4 different wine/beer and each time was told they ran out from a big party the night before. The last was simply a glass of Coors Light and it took 15 minutes to get. They were also very short staffed with only 2 Servers and 1 Bartender. Our Server was very nice and very apologetic but I think they could have been set up better by Management. Also, if it takes 4 tries to get a drink and then it takes 15 minutes to get...you should probably comp something. I was a little bummed as we have been there 2x before and had a great meal. I should have written a review on the positive experience, but unfortunately that’s not human nature.
When we arrived ten minutes late for our reservation...ugh...no problem, we were seated immediately. The food was scrumptious! All four of us enjoyed our selections! Our waitress, Tabitha, was wonderful! She was just lovely! We would recommend Tavern on the Wharf !
Excellent customer service, we sat outside, they could have fired up the propane heaters a little sooner but besides that everything was great. Crab 🦀 cakes 🎂 were delicious as well as the lobster 🦞 ravioli. Also fast service even though it was a busy Saturday night !
Everything was great,
It sucked. I will not recommend this place. Might want to deal with the truly absurd fruitfly problem. Sadly, worst dinner in a long time & wasn’t looking for fine dining.
We had a very nice lunch at Tavern of the Wharf. The only issue's we had was that the kitchen gave my friends a tiny amount of salad dressing to go with their enormous cobb salads, so we had to keep asking for more! And when I asked for a to go dish for my delicious Baked apple and goat cheese salad, the container was dirty :( But our server Debbie was awesome and more than made up for it! I loved being able to sit at the table and look at the ocean. It was a very nice experience. Although $120 for 4 people for salads and a turkey club was pricey :)
Best quality food for a great price! Outstanding service
The baked cod was cooked to perfection
My Irish coffee was one of the best ever
Enjoyed the “date night “ menu. What a great value! We will definitely return for this special. Started with the stuffed mushrooms app on the specials...fresh and delicious. Surf and turf was excellent....nice crab stuffed shrimp and plenty of good tips. Mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus were delicious. Server was sweet but very slow...but a nice evening.
Very friendly and helpful waitstaff. Food came out in good time. Drinks were attended to without much waiting.
Tavern on the Wharf was a pleasant surprise. The menu was extensive. Looked like it would also be a great place for lunch as s number of things were in the lighter side. 2 members of our party had the seafood casserole which was lauded with seafood in a tasty and not too heavy sauce. Cake with green beans (a little over cooked) and several lingering potatoes. We asked for some butter for them and it never arrived but otherwise service was good. I had the lobster and asparagus risotto which was tasty but which could have used a bit more of each ad the rice got boring. Our final person had the fish tacos which she said were very good. Dessert menu looked interesting but we were all too full. Maybe next time. They were playing trivia at the bar which would have been distracting if we had been sitting any closer. Would definitely go back again and try out some of the other menu options.
I had lunch with a friend who had just had a knee replacement. She was so happy to be out to lunch. She had the reuben with onion rings and could only eat half. I had the cheese steak sandwich with onion rings. She enjoyed hers very much. I loved mine although messy. It was interesting because it had pepperoni as well as steak tips, mushrooms, onions and peppers. I think that is a true philly cheese steak when you're in Philly. The onion rings were crisp and not greasy. I generally have had the fish tacos in the past which are excellent but I'm glad I tried something different.
We were initially seated at a very sunny table and asked to move because the sun was in our eyes - no problem moving , our waitress took care of us in the bar area and we hope we made it worth her while. She was great (I just can’t remember her name!) the food was really good - I loved the fish sandwich and we devoured the fried pickles.
Always great food and excellent service!
