Lively ambience, entertaining band, a great place to go with friends apres ski or for other occasions to have fun and enjoy good food.
Food is good, not great, the appetizer menu didn’t have anything appealing to me. I realize that is a personal preference and may have been great for someone else. Our server was great. The flatbread was delicious. Pad Thai is what I had and I just didn’t love it.
We always enjoy coming to the Tavern. Service is mediocre- takes forever and the food is pretty good but there is nothing outstanding about it. Just a go-to spot in Lionshead
Great chicken wings but other than that, I wasn’t impressed with the food.
Server was fine but not supported by her staff. Bartender was terrible - completely disengaged drinks took over 45min. Chefs and expo team missed two dishes in our group of 6. Very disappointing
The food way over priced for what was served.
Delicious food, kid friendly, family atmosphere, they even have an amazing vegan menu, just ask!
Portions are huge. If quantity over quality is important this is a great place. Very average food. The nachos presentation was obscene.
This restaurant serves needs of Arrabelle guests for all three meals but guests from nearby condos come too. Interior is very elegant yet they are flexible enough not to require dress code and there are plenty of hooks by the entrance for the ski jackets, etc & tables for larger groups. Food is good, many flavors, good variety on the menu, servers have a great attitude. Breakfast buffet is served till 11 a.m. even during the week and variety of delicatessen foods is outstanding for a small restaurant, even an omelet & waffle station, with breakfast for two included with the stay. Way to go, Arrabelle !!! Breakfast alone makes me want to come back to stay in the future
I want the tavern to be a better place, but the service is always horrible. The food is good, but it doesn’t outweigh poor service in my opinion.
Great date nite, great menu, fantastic steak frites! Large enough to share.
Perfect place after a long day on the mountain. From nachos to elk!!!
Good for a casual lunch or dinner. Pork shank and steak were good, noodle bowl and bison bolognese pasta was just ok. Nothing special but about what we expected.
Great place and food. We had a noisy 1 yr old and she blended in. Not a quite place!
The menu is odd and the food nowhere near as good as the Denver outposts. It's a comfortable environment and the service was fine, but we wouldn't go back based on the poorly conceived and executed food selection.
Love the vegan menu. Thank You Tavern. Mezze was incredible, so was vegan pad Thai, so was island poke bowl (vegan), and the impossible burger. You guys are doing an awesome job. Your staff was kind and helpful and very accommodating.
Too noisy, impossible to talk, food is very average
I have eaten here several times and the food, bar and service are terrific. I had the Steak Frites on Thursday and it was the best meal I had in Vail. Cocktails are excellent.
Food was pretty good, but service was horrible. On multiple occasions, it was 10-15 minutes before our server checked on us.
The food was great and the service with Angelica even better. The bowl of noodles were really cool and my better half loved the pork shank with cabbage.
Nice location and slow, if not forgetful service. It was dusk and although people were there, the lights were not turned on, the fire pit was left off so on top of not being checked on, it felt like they were closing. A big group next to us finally got up and walked out and one person audibly stated they felt ignored.
Great dinner, ate outside on a cool summer night with a fire pit.
For years Tavern has been one of our go to eateries in Vail. No more. The menu has been downgraded, the food on the menu wasn’t particularly good and the service wanting.
Such a lovely evening at a great restaurant! The Poke and Noodle Bowls are a must!
The chicken pot pie was divine! They have a very cozy, but vibrant bar area.
the tomato salad was delish. beautiful patio. really enjoyed our meal... would definitely return if I am in Vail again!
Waiter pushed food before drinks arrived. Drinks came. Appetizers came immediately. Dinner came and we had barely touched appetizers. Hadn’t finished first drink.
Pretty good. Have good gluten free options which is important for our family to eat together. Felt sort of rushed. Server kept asking to take our order- before we had received our cocktails. Then once our food came didn't see our server. Had to ask another server for our check. Past experiences were better. So I would go back-
Kids meals were $12 and consisted of poorly prepared boxed Mac N Cheese. Entrees such as seafood pasta were obviously frozen shrimp, scallops, etc. service was friendly but inattentive.
Great food, wonderful service. Want to go back.
We sat out on the patio, which was beautiful, but the food was so-so. Quite over priced - even for Vail standards.
Our service was really great the entire time we’ve been there. The fact that you have the buffet breakfast when you stay leads you to believe that the service won’t be great but it’s very much is. The buffet guy from Georgia who makes the omelette is amazing.
Very accommodating with a Keto diet! 😊
Visiting Vail for the first time, I am so glad our first dining impression was the Tavern. My husband and I brought our kids after a long day of driving and we were all hungry and ready to start our vacation. We were all very happy with our experience. The man who greeted us was very strange. He wasn’t very friendly and put a bad taste in my mouth. However, the host and all of the servers went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The kids meals are large portions. Next time we return, I’ll have my five year olds share one meal. They loved their chicken nuggets and fries though. My husband ordered the burger and was very happy with his choice. I enjoyed the tomato salad, which was so fresh, nice and light. The restaurant has a gorgeous view of the mountain. It is a great restaurant for comfortable and casual dining in the touristy spot in Vail. Next time we return, I hope the weather will allow us to sit outside and enjoy the incredible view. You should give it a try!
The food was excellent. We were there in June and the outside patio was cool and quiet
Wife and I both had the Wapiti Elk which was very good to excellent. We also had a flat bread pizza which wasn’t particularly well made nor enjoyable. Service was friendly; but, irregular. We both felt prices were a bit on the high side. We asked for bread and were charged for that; but, never informed by the waitress that it wasn’t included.
Everything was great
Excellent service and the food was fresh. Only complain is the decor it seems very bland and outdated
The food was perfectly good, the noise level was so loud that it made conversation difficult. The musician was talented, but crossed the line between background music and a “concert”. We were there for dinner and conversation with friends, so the music needs to be at a level that allows for that.
