It was a fun iconic place to experience, but the food was not worth the price. Both of our meals were very bland, had no flavor. Staff and service were great, the food was not at all worth it.

We came for the ambiance and iconic setting—and yes, the twinkling lights, lush greenery, and Central Park charm delivered—but what truly made the night unforgettable was our conversation with our waitress Carly. She was not only incredibly attentive and kind but also took the time to connect with us on a personal level. It felt like we were chatting with an old friend who just happened to know the menu inside and out! The food was delicious (especially the lemon creme brûlée), the drinks were thoughtfully crafted, and the pacing of the evening was just right. But that human connection—warm, genuine, and full of laughter—is what made this dinner stand out. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a quintessential NYC dining experience with heart. We’ll definitely be back.

We had a fantastic experience dining at the one and only Tavern on the Green! The ambiance, food quality, and service were top notch and we will return! We love that the menu is seasonal and would delight in eating everything we had again, but we look forward to trying it again during different seasons. We ate inside for a more sophisticated vibe, however the outside tables looked lovely and very seasonally appropriate. We can’t wait to come back!

Tavern on the Green has been on my New York to-do list for probably 20 years and I am so glad we finally made it here! The restaurant is gorgeous, the service was fantastic and the food was delicious. I had the best frittata I’ve ever had with tasty breakfast potatoes for brunch. I look forward to coming again the next time I’m in New York.

Wonderful experience celebrating our anniversary. Thought it would be kitschy but it exceeded expectations. The staff was superb and the ambiance was amazing
