I had a wonderful dinner and a special night on Tavern on the Green. Was elegant, beautiful, and the food was fabulous. The musician playing was highlight of the whole evening. One of the best evenings in NYC. Our server and host were fantastic! Will definitely be back. Sitting outdoors is a must during summer nights.

This is the first time we had a less than perfect dining experience at Tavern on the Green. We mistakenly booked the Conservatory; however, it was a beautiful evening and we preferred to eat outdoors on the patio. They were very accommodating and changed our reservation to the Patio even though it was our own fault we booked inside. The service was slow, but that was to be expected as it was a beautiful night and the restaurant was busy. The problem was the quality of the food. My friend and I shared the aged sirloin with lemon butter broccoli and duck fat lyonnaise potatoes. The steak was tasteless and tough, definitely not medium rare; and we have never had an ‘aged’ steak this bad. There wasn’t a drop of lemon butter on the broccoli and the potatoes were cold and soggy rather than crispy. Also, our fault for not complaining and asking them to re-plate, but by this time it was so late, we didn’t want to prolong the meal any further. Disappointing, but we will give them another try the next time we’re in New York.

Our dinner at Tavern in the Green was fabulous. We were seated outdoors and the ambiance was perfect. Our waitress was very attentive and the food was outstanding. The live music added so much to make it a perfect evening.

All was good. The overall experience was wonderful. Wait staff was very good. Food was great. Time spent in restaurant was just right for us.

The outdoor bar is great! Bo the bartender is kind and makes great drinks! Followed by wonderful table service by Noah. Enjoyed the new editions to the menu! It’s not just for tourists! I’m a local and love it!

We had a wonderful experience celebrating our daughter's graduation at this restaurant. The exceptional food, service, and ambiance made the occasion even more special. The ambience is very nice if you eat outside. Inside, at least the part by the kitchen, is ho hum. Our Cobb salads were excellent and our waitress perfectly nice. The prices though are a bit of a gouge in my view, even for NYC.
