I came yesterday for dinner. And I must say I was disappointed. For starters the server did not tell us about the restaurant week menu. I had to actually request it which seemed strange. Especially considering the couple seated next to us were immediately informed about restaurant week and told it was up to them if they wanted to order off that menu. Which is in my opinion how its supposed to be done. Ok off of the restaurant week menu I ordered the salmon it visually was not appealing what so ever and was bland.The cornchowder also bland like honestly my first thought was I could make a better dish than this. And of course im dining out to experience food beyond my cooking capabilities. And im no chef in any stretch of the imagination. My friend had the chicken it was simply put average,not terrible but certainly not what we were expecting from tavern on the green. Also we found it to be warm inside i know the temps were very high in nyc. Its imperative to have air conditioning that can accommodate those high outside temps. I say this all in hopes of seeing what you all can do to turn things around flavor wise in the kitchen. I will say the look and service was very good just need to get some things fixed in the kitchen in my opinion.

Lovely location especially if seated in the atrium glass enclosed section. Food is very good quality and service is excellent. Very nostalgic and old New York ambience. Highly recommend.

Sunday brunch was a treat to start our son’s Bday! The food was excellent although the English muffin on the eggs Benedict was a bit hard and not enough sauce to make it softer, non the less delicious!! All staff is super attentive and service was excellent.

Always a wonderful Sunday brunch experience. Took a group of friends there for their first time on our recent trip to New York, and it was fabulous, as always. This place is iconic for a reason. Wonderful food in an amazing atmosphere.

Restaurant setting was very beautiful and staff was friendly & welcoming. We were there for Sunday brunch-food was average and menu limited but I looked at it as paying for the location, experience and history.

We had excellent service and chose to sat on the terrace as the weather was nice. We ordered the short rib, chicken under brick and lamb-everything was delicious and the portions were generous. Baked Alaska was the dessert special which was fantastic!

A little hiccups with orders for dairy, nutand legumes allergies for one person but they fixed it well. The inside space was noisy. Lots of people like the restaurant. The portions could be a bit bigger. Desserts and selection of desserts were great.
