Amazing. An experience. Exceeded our expectations.

Very magical views and ambiance, great for the holidays. Got there a tad early, but were allowed to sit at a lovely bar as we waited. Only negative is that we sat for about 10 mins without being attended to, and then still had to speak up to get the bartender’s attention. He was busy and we were early, so our fault - but if you’re going to allow someone to sit, better experience to have an active staff

We had an amazing evening. It was decorated beautifully for the holidays. The hostesses were so sweet and engaging with my daughter. Our waitress was wonderful, helpful and attentive. Our food was excellent. I am gluten-free and the we’re very accommodating, including gf bread.

In from Texas and Virginia. It is a great restaurant to spend time with friends to enjoy the city.

The Tavern was beautifully decorated for Christmas, made for some stunning family photographs. Services was Brilliant as we had a tour booked after our meal and the server made sure we made it in time.
Food was lovely, can recommend the chicken burger though they are very generous in the portions. Highly recommend the cookie brownie was the best I've ever had!! Would gladly go back but it's so popular it was already booked for later this week.

The white truffle risotto was to die for as well as the salad with figs and goat cheese. I just hated how noisy it was and very touristy... it’s really hard for us New Yorkers to get a table

One of our favorite places to eat while in NYC.

I took my girlfriend to New York City and wanted to make her day special before going to see the Rockettes. It was beautifully decorated inside and we were able to sit in the glass room with a view of Central Park. The food and service was exceptional. The whole experience was one of a kind.

My husband and I went to tavern on the green to celebrate our 1st anniversary! The food was incredible, the decorations beautiful, and the staff amazing! A must visit restaurant when in the city!

Our pork entree was served raw and we had to return it for further cooking. Came back excellent!

This is a charming and magical place to visit during the holidays. The food was great, perfectly cooked salmon and steak and eggs. Great appetizers and creative desserts. The ambiance was beautiful with the glass patio and the service was wonderful. Check it out while you’re in NYC.

Had one of the specials ,I suppose I should have asked the price ,but really $70 for Dover sole ,? ! which was really mediocre ( so disappointing when I can cook this for myself everyday in the UK ) Fabulous Restaurant,great Ambience,beautifully decorated for Christmas,Service excellent but food over priced for mediocrity

Iconic NYC dining spot not only lived up to, but absolutely exceeded our expectations. We were seated promptly at a table looking outside at a patio and a gorgeous Christmas tree. The interior of TOTG was beautifully decorated too. The food and service were outstanding, though you should be prepared to pay for them... and it is New York. Bottom line? Make a reservation and enjoy the experience. We did!

Great ambiance provided by this historical gem. Laine, our server, was a total doll. Our appetizers, especially the shrimp, were amazingly delish! Fabulous entrees, Prosecco, wine and dessert too! Very much enjoyed by my mother, sister and myself. So fabulous!

Service was nice - special effort made by several staff to acknowledge anniversary - and a special dessert as well. Overall very good experience and food.

Prefix menu is a turn off from this place. The bar food is delicious and a great substitute!

My cocktail was served in a sticky, dirty glass
We were denied a window seat despite no other guests being seated at that table after we arrived
The gnocchi tasted liked pumpkin baby food
The crab cake was back fin
We walked out $200 later extremely disappointed

Always wonderful! I visited NYC over Thanksgiving week and enjoyed a family dinner at Tavern on the Green. The food is delicious and the service is outstanding. The lobster risotto and espresso crème brulee will linger in my memory! I enjoyed the themed cocktails as well. The Christmas decorations were beautiful as always, and made for lovely photos after dessert and a perfect espresso.

You can’t beat the venue. It’s classic NYC. Service was also very good.

Food was meh. Wasn’t awful but not as good as you would expect.

We were in the farther room from the entrance which was reasonably quiet but the main room was very loud when we came through. I thought we wanted to sit in the iconic room with the floor to ceiling windows. Thankfully we didn’t.

Still very happy we went and would go back again. With just a lower expectation on the food side of things.

Great food and experience. Everyone loved the food in our party of 4. We would definitely go again. The staff was equally amazing. Totally friendly and attentive. Wait staff very knowledgeable about food including wine. Loved Jose’-knew ingredients along with how it was prepared. Answered all of our questions. Entertainment was a nice touch-awesome Jazz Band. Always get a reservation well ahead.

Food was fantastic, beautiful setting for Christmas before the Nutcracker at Lincoln center. Salmon, pork chops and steak were delicious. Recommend Calamari salad. The bar was very nice with live music and small gift shop

The food was dry (fish and short ribs) felt like it wasn’t made in-house but more reheated. Wait staff Service was good, nothing to complain about. They also seated us quickly even though we were beyond the grace period. There was hardly anyone there, I think we lucked out. Would not go back.

Visiting NYC with husband and 9yo. Had 2:30 reservations but finished morning activities early so asked to be seated early. Polite hostesses took my name and said they would do what they could. Checked coats and easily found seating in the large waiting area by the bar and were seated before we had time to order drinks for while waited. Seated at comfortable table with banquette seating. My French 75 and husband’s Old Fashioned generous and well made. Ordered the autumn salad and roasted fig salad to start. Both salads were beautifully presented had great balance of dressing to other ingredients. All elements of the salad were fresh and well assembled. We shared the special flat bread of the day which was chopped sirloin and arugula, we were pleased with all elements of the dish. Our 9yo had bow tie pasta with parm from the kids menu and liked it very much. Our waiter was attentive and accommodating. A very enjoyable meal and now a great memory.

Fantastic! Beautiful place that looks very upmarket. Fabulous circular bar area with plenty of seating. You can eat in the bar area or the lovely restaurant. We had a great table looking out I’ve the gorgeous Christmas tree. Menu not vast but great choice with prices about average for New York. All staff were very professional, friendly and attentive. I chose The Tavern as a surprise for my Husbands birthday and it did not disappoint, he loved it. I will definitely recommend this place and will visit again when I return to New York.

We had a reservation obviously. Lots of drop ins came. We waited for me er and we're given a lousy table and they would not change even though many were available
