It was absolutely magical evening
TOTG did not disappoint- food was amazing, Tony gave great advice regarding menu choices and we enjoyed every bite! Only downside was inside table we were seated at was extremely close to other tables-less than a foot between- so we felt a bit claustrophobic.
This was an amazing place to spend time with family. The food was amazing, and so was the atmosphere.
The service was amazing- we were a party of 10 for a 2nd birthday and we're covid conscience so we asked for outside seating and it was PERFECT
Came to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and waited 15+ minutes before the first server came to our table.. Thankful for the manager that noticed we were still waiting. Food was amazing as expected, all the way through dessert. Noise level was a bit louder that I expected; we sat near the kitchen so our was a little difficult to hear each other
We had a lovely dinner celebrating our anniversary. The service was excellent. We did not feel rushed. Our waitperson paced our meal and drinks perfectly. I had the cod, which was cooked exactly the way I like it. My husband had the pork loin, which he told me was delicious. Our experience Saturday at Tavern on the Green was a delight!
The food and service was excellent. I do highly recommend, 'Tavern On The Green'. It will always be a very special dining destination and expereince.
The waiter and waitress were very polite, helpful and responsive, providing good suggestions in my ordering and coming to check on me from time to time. I enjoyed their excellent services!
Excellent food, great ambience!
Knowing it is a tourist trap you do not expect much but even with very low expectations it was disappointing.
Had brunch on Sunday. Service and food were excellent. A definite place to go while in NYC
We had a 9:30 reso and were seated immediately for brunch! Nikolai was our waiter and was great - he had a LOT of tables to serve, including big parties but we never were neglected. The restaurant was beautiful and I definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to do something classically New York while visiting. Ask for the Crystal Room, it's worth it! We opted to stroll central park afterward to walk off breakfast and it was the perfect morning.
This was our first visit to Tavern on the Green. We chose to go for Sunday brunch. The restaurant was beautiful, much more so than I expected. The wait staff was very attentive without being overbearing. The food was incredible. We had the eggs Benedict and a creme brûlée. I would definitely recommend going and we will go back during our next trip to NYC.
Fantastic all around!
beautiful restaurant outstanding service
Our appetizer and one entree (Benedict) were excellent as was Creme Brûlée. My Frittata was overcooked or not freshly cooked. It was edible. My husband’s burger was ‘okay.’ Even so, we love a brunch at the Tavern and will be back next trip.
Everyone was friendly and helpful, in spite of the crowd.
We weren’t rushed, even offered extra coffee.
Our table of eight were very happy we went
just felt the menu needed work. Not a very good brunch menu
Food is quite expensive, plated nicely but lacks in taste. The short ribs had no flavor at all
Why are hostesses/host’s the most rude and entitled people?
Truly the worst NY experience in my 40 years of visiting: a corporation has taken hold, and is trying to maximize profits. We had a 5 Pam reservation, arrived 20 minutes early, told to go wait at outdoor bar and they will come and get us , at 10 after I went back and they said
the couldn’t find us, they then wanted us to eat outside, but we insisted on inside for quiet, put us at a 2 top, we asked for a 4 top, so we could sit next to each other (at 5:10) there were many empty, but no, they then brought a couple and put them at the 4 top! Right next to us. My “salad” was a mixture of several chopped vegetables with no dressing. Then, ! They brought our bottle of champagne. I had the risotto with lobster pieces, small ish bowl and mediocre at best. The “supervisor “ in our area did the usual, how is everything, but did not wait for a response. Then spent several minutes talking to other supervisors in the garden. The place is beautiful, with its recent makeover, I would on come only to have a drink at the bar.
The sole positive was our server , Max, a future Broadway star, who, did a fine job.
This is the longest review I’ve ever written, I hope it deters some, the need a manager concerned about patrons not profits,
So sad, so disappointed 🥵
Lovely courtyard, great service.
The service was impeccable
Nothing better than having lunch in Central Park on a beautiful day! The staff was so attentive and helpful, they made it a wonderful experience to cap off our trip to New York. Will definitely go again!
Wonderful. Great food. Great service.
Very nice. Las personas muy amables, vivimos una gran experiencia
Perfect for a date, anniversary or birthday! We had a great night!
Beautiful setting. Staff wonderful! Iconic location. Wonderful night in NYC
I ordered a burger medium well done and it arrived medium rare. The manager too care of it immediately.
Great customer service- we will definitely be back.
We sat on the patio and enjoyed a beautiful fall day.
A peaceful lunch in a beautiful Central Park on a perfect-weather late morning. The best!!!
Great service, food was perfect and desert is absolutely fantastic!
Travel to NYC
Server was difficult. Tavern on the Green cant possible have 1 salad dressing in house. Then he messed up a simple order. Been there at lease 10 times since re-opening (pandemic). Ive yet to be 4 to 5 star impressed but its close to my business so i keep hoping that it gets better.
Lovely, as always. Delicious food. Very good service. One of the attendees at my table wanted to order the lobster risotto. Strangely, the waiter said “ I advise against it, I don’t think you’ll like it”. I asked why. He said “they make the risotto very hard and we are taking it off the menu“. We thought this was very peculiar and couldn’t understand a waiter talking us out of ordering some thing on the menu because it wouldn’t taste good. Anyway, we had a good meal anyway but we all thought that was quite strange.
Good ambiance but the food was blah and that just disappointed us.
The service was outstanding, in particular, our server, Matthew. My phone was low on battery, and I needed to access our theatre tickets after dinner, to attend the show. Matthew, instantly offered to charge my phone while we were dining, and delivered a portable phone charger to the table! Problem solved by 65% battery restored by the end of our delicious meal. We also experienced excellent customer service when we visited the gift shop. The restroom attendant was very fast and thorough. It seemed as if every employee was attentive, polite and very capable regardless of the activity they performed. And the weather was perfect for a late afternoon meal on the patio!
I chose Tavern on the Green as the location to have a nice birthday brunch for my sister. Everything was great from the lobster Mac and cheese to the salmon. Service was wonderful as well. Definitely referred this to family and friends and will be going back.
Our waiter was outstanding in several ways. My wife and I had just married and were on our Honnymoon
He two was planning a marriage soon and we had nice time talking with him.
