Hemza our wait person was fantastic. Excellent, not fussy. It was a great evening.
Delicious food and great ambiance. Fish was excellent, short ribs were succulent and delicious. Will be there again soon
Beautiful place to stop and dine in Central Park
The service was great across the board. Great team effort! And food was very good as well at every turn. And of course the venue is awesome. Thanks to all for a great Mother’s Day.
It was amazing!!!!! I had proposed to my girlfriend earlier in the Park and we celebrated there. They took care of us and we’re so nice. Everyone came over to congratulate us.
We were really exited to return to Tavern on the Green. Everyone greeted us as we walked in and it was so nice to be back. Our only complaint was our waiter and the amount of time we waited for the food. We know we are paying a premium for the food and atmosphere, but also would like to be treated like everyone else. Our drinks were wrong and the food took over an hour to arrive to our table. However, I was able to speak to a manager, Tony who made everything right. And we will definitely return because of this!!!
It was the first time after COVID - Tavern on the Green used to be one of our special places to celebrate special occasions: the food was precooked, greasy and far from the standard of quality in the pre COVID era! We reserved an outside table, so we expected to be seated in the beautiful glass conservatory : we had a tiny table in the back of the restaurant instead. It was Mother’s Day Brunch, so the menu was prefixed : the mushrooms soup tasted like a canned soup, the meat of the steak was hard, the whole fish was over cooked. It was 5pm and we were starving so we ate our food and payed a super expensive bill of 460$ the 3 of us. Never again!!!
Staff was accommodating on all levels. Very attentive service.
Enjoyable Mother's Day in an enjoyable venue! Thank you.
Food was a disappointment and vastly overpriced
Service was excellent and the location is very beautiful
Great experience but super expensive
The tavern on the green is beautifully located within Central Park. We love the drinks and usually the food, however on our visit for Mother’s Day, the food was cold, service was slow and it just wasn’t the best experience.
We love this place. The service is attentive, accommodating and friendly. The food is always good, and the atmosphere is unique and special. We will continue to stop by on the regular.
Friendly staff. Great food. Nice live music. Social distancing and all staff wore masks.
Overpriced food; you are really paying for the name and atmosphere.
AMAZING food! Super friendly and accommodating staff. Upscale, top-notch dining experience all the way around. Highly recommended!
Excellent restaurant, food was delicious. Would definitely recommend!
Everything was mediocre at best except for the ambiance and the live music. Tavern on the Green proves that location location location is all you need. a fantastic setting and a wonderful band made a great Mother's day brunch
Wow - fun to return to
This is our first time dining here and we were pleasantly surprised how nice the restaurant is . The food and service was excellent. They were able to modify the my daughter's food due to her food allergies/sensitivities. It was on the pricey side but it was a great splurge. We will definitely recommend this place and plan to return with out of town relatives in the near future.
This was a Mother’s Day treat for me and it did not disappoint. Lovely food and drinks. My only slight complaint was being asked if we wanted fries with our children’s meal. The way it was said sound as though it was automatically included, however at the end, I saw we had been charged $12 for an adult sized side. I found this a little cheeky as normally fries would be included with chicken tenders, or it should have been made much clearer. Asides that, we were very happy.
GREAT experience! Service was amazing - no shortage of taking care of us.
Everything was great from the service to the food
I was so disappointed in the food! It was absolutely terrible! We didn't even eat our sides at all!
It was a lovely experience overall. Especially after having not dined out in for over a year. However, I do think that the stations you have set up for your wait staff to retrieve napkins, cutlery and plates etc., should not be so close to where your diners are sitting, it was a little intrusive.
Absolutely outstanding. Service and food were exceptional. Can’t wait to go back!
The glass room was ideal since it was far too cold out to sit outside, but we still felt as though we had the "outside" experience.
Always a wonderful experience at Tavern on the Green. The food and service is spectacular!
Amazing service, the food was good and the service was great as well. I enjoyed my time immensely
In general the food was very good, but there was sand (or other grit) in the greens that came with the octopus and chorizo appetizer. I would have sent it back, but the server never stopped by to ask how things were. Aside from that, the dish was very good; and I would definitely go back.
Booked a table for my sister and her boyfriend to celebrate post engagement. Booked a table outside since her dog was a part of the engagement. When I arrived, they made a big ordeal about needing a manager to come outside to talk to me. The manager was rude and said no dogs allowed. I said ok and then went back and told the hostess that my sister just got engaged, I would walk the dogs home and to seat them without me and get them started with bubbly. She told me she’d have to ask a manager first. I said, “to order drinks?!?” And she said, “oh I thought you wanted them free.” The whole experience was terrible. Especially after coming from such a joyous occasion. I was appalled. Especially at all of the assumptions and the hush hush attitude involving the dogs. We just left - felt so incredibly unwelcome. Such a terrible experience with terrible vibes.
What a wonderful evening. Beautiful love music, not too loud so we could enjoy our conversations, and our meals were excellent. The setting is beyond compare. Thank you, TOTG for renovating this gem into a magical place.
A beautiful place with a very romantic atmosphere. My wife and myself enjoyed it immensely
Service started out good but as the dinner went on the waiter became less attentive with a number of errors. We were surprised with someone picking up our tab. The waiter was not very pleasant about telling us about this incredibly thoughtful gift. We love Tavern on the Green and will return. Hopefully we will have a more attentive waiter. By the way the supportive wait staff was very good.
Nice place to eat specially in a sunny day and after gathering around Central Park.
Outside restaurant was great for lunch... enjoyed every minute.
Lovely outdoor setting. Lunch was delicious. We ordered a steak salad and cobb salad, both were well prepared. The weather was delightful and the wait staff was friendly and accommodating.
An absolute magical experience!
Great place to catch up with a friend! Beautiful atmosphere on a sunny spring day to have brunch / early lunch outdoors. Great service, tasty appetizers and cold drinks made for a perfect morning. Will definitely go again!
