   Weather was perfect for outdoor dining; the table umbrellas were a must as to prevent the sun from beating down on us. Our waiter didn’t rush us and took care of us when ordering when we took our allergies into consideration. Very memorable afternoon.

   We were here two weeks ago and loved the food so much we went back again yesterday. Great food-- in particular the burger is one of the best burgers in Manhattan and that is saying a lot from New Yorkers of 15+ years. The first time we went here recently the service was perfect, yesterday our service was poor though. The waiter seemed to be spread too thin and was so rushed he forgot to take our drink order and went straight to our food order and when we mentioned we wanted to order the drinks he then took drinks orders from only 1/3 of the part before rushing off. When my main arrived, it was 50% incorrect. I told the server who delivered it (not our waiter) and he said he would take care of it. The waiter didn't come to check on our meal until it was finished and then I had to explain I never received the salad portion of my meal. He apologized and then everyone had to wait for me to eat my salad while they were done with their meal. I should mention our main dishes took nearly 90 minutes to get them. The waiter apologized for the delay, but we would have appreciated a gesture such as a complimentary drink for the wait. Then when others in the party ordered dessert, I ordered an espresso. Desserts were brought out, but he forgot the espresso. We were a party of 6 this time (last time was a party of 10) so we are certainly spending a lot when we go, but I just wish the service was consistent and reliable. If they are having an off day, they should comp something as recognition of the service issues.

   Great experience, great service-Teresa 3 was our attendant! Great music from Motown. And food(brunch) was amazing. Maple Bacon & the champagne!!! Just perfect. Second time and was not disappointed. I recommend sitting outside, always.

   Brunch menu very limited, I couldn’t really find any good options to choose so I just had to settle on something which wasn’t great. About my 4th time visiting but that was definitely my last.

   Looked forward to celebrating my birthday with family. After seating, we asked for glasses of ice and tap water for the table. We had to repeatedly ask for ice, refill of water and for the bottle os wine (white) to be chilled as it wasn't cold/chilled. Placed our orders and 2 asked for sirloin steak. One was cooked exactly as ordered one came out with half covered in fat. Not marbled..thick fat. A bad piece. Asked for another and 2nd try came out blue when medium was ordered. Chef came out. Not to apologize but to say this is how sirloin is. I was taken aback. I just feel that this restaurant has become more of a mass produced rather than a exemplary experience. Disappointed.

    Amazing setting, food is great, service very good. On this visit they had live classical guitar which was beautiful, but the amplified volume was too loud.

    I've actually really loved this restaurant up until now. This time our experience was disappointing. We were sat in some back side room when the main dining room had space, I had to ask three times for a second drink before it showed up, the server was largely absentee as he stood chatting with colleagues, and my side dishes took several rounds of requests to materialize. It wasn't particularly busy, so the lack of service didn't make much sense. Next time I'm in the city, I plan to go with the Loeb Boathouse instead.

    It was lovely to spend another anniversary at Tavern on the Green. We enjoyed our dinner and entertainment outside on a warm night. I only wish the dress code would be enforced. Seeing patrons in beachwear and exercise clothing takes away from the dining experience in such a beautiful New York Institution as is Tavern on the Green.

    We had a great experience here. We were seated outside as requested and treated to a live quartet. We were celebrating a birthday and it was acknowledged at check in, but that was it.

    We had a lovely dinner before our Lincoln Center performance. I had been to Tavern on the Green as a child in the late 70s and as an adult in the early 2000s, but this visit was the best so far. From seating us in a shaded area on the patio to the phenomenal drinks, salads and dessert, everything was fantastic. Unbelievably talented jazz band with an outstanding vocalist sang all the standards and made the night really special. Highly recommend!

    While the staff was friendly, the order was wrong twice. The out of town guest was very happy to see the restaurant, we unfortunately were put at a wobble table in a crowded corner. The food tasted delicious despite the location.

    My plate of good was put down in front of someone at the wrong table. After discussion was picked up and waiter walked away. In just a few seconds he walked back and put the plate down in front of me. When I told him I saw him put the plate down at wrong table he denied it….several times.

    My husband and I grabbed lunch at Tavern on the Green to celebrate our anniversary and our last day in NYC. It was one of our favorite meals! The food and wine were delicious, the cheesecake with all the fruit was incredible, and we were surprised with some truffles and a card from the restaurant. What a wonderful way to celebrate!

    Greeted well. Service was efficient. Simple burger order for only 3 people was brought to table incorrectly after server repeated the order to us several times over. One burger was cooked incorrectly and the other served with wrong type of cheese. Carmelized fries which we all know what should look like were served as a basic red onion charred on grill. Not acceptable for the price and it being the Tavern.

    We had a beautiful first experience at Tavern on the Green. The ambiance is wonderful both inside and out. All of our food was delicious. The best part of our evening was the service, not just from our server but probably a half dozen who helped us. They all seemed genuinely happy and eager to make our time there the best! And it was!

    Spectacular! Every staff member was friendly and solicitous of any needs or requests. The interior has been beautifully updated since my last visit. The food for both of us was perfect and delicious. It was truly the most wonderful dinner to have prior to attending Hamilton. Thank you for making it magical!

    All the food was very good. One of our party ordered just sides as her meal; truffle fries, garlic spinach, and broccoli, there was definitely enough to share for at least 2 people, probably 3 for the spinach. My chicken schnitzel dish was very good. Had lots of good choices for the kids meals. I had made a reservation through open table with outdoor seating as only option, but they were able to accommodate inside patio on arrival easily. Server was great!

    Wonderful for outdoor lunch. I live locally and I try to come here whenever I have time for a nice non rushed lunch. Food, service and atmosphere is great ! Although a tourist destination , it’s a “go to” for the locals too.

    I felt rushed: dishes were taken away before every on e was finished. The server was rushed, spilled drink. The noise level was very high. Servers and staff did not know the ingredients of the specials. Servers and staff were friendly. The restaurant was lovely. Don’t need to rush back.

    Our third visit here from the UK. Food lovely but overpriced. Service was adequate. Waiter told my wife that her first choice for her meal could not be modified (wanted to swap type of cheese for her steak sandwich and was told this was not possible. She then asked to delete cheese altogether and told this was not possible) Other than that everything went well, burgers and fries arrived cooked per order, but suppose when you are paying $31 for each of them its what you would hope for !
