Great way to celebrate my dinner. Everyone was quite helpful from the hostess to the server. Loved it there. Hopefully we’ll be back soon.
Ambiance and service was fantastic. The food was very good as well, but you’re going to pay a fair price for such a nice place, especially in Central Park.
Beautiful place, great ambience, delicious food, definitely recommend
Staff were very accommodating with my 5 year old niece...food was very good
Excelente servicio y gran lugar. La comida fue buena
Still a beautiful setting for a special occasion. All things being equal, it's pretty average. A tad overpriced. But lovely to eat in the park setting.
Lobster Roll was ridiculously small for $39 and was the worst lobster roll ever. Had a very weird taste from some unknown herb. Cobb salad was more greens than anything else.
Cheesecake portion was tiny and also did not taste like any NYC cheesecake. Ambience was very nice and service very good.
Staff very helpful and attentive. Indoor and outdoor seating is festive. Enjoy ourselves every time we go.
Can't miss it while in the city. Great place!! It has been a while!! since our last visit, and it is still perfect
Decided on Tavern On The Green for a birthday dinner & it did not disappoint. Everything was great from the moment you were greeted at the front. The waitress we had was indeed a Queen her name was fitting. The food was as great as the service.
We had an amazing Father’s Day celebration at Tavern on the Green! The ambiance was perfect, the food delicious, and our server was fun and attentive. We’ll be back!
Very nice for a special occasion. The food was nothing to rave about. I had the lobster risotto and my husband had the steak, it was ok. Atmosphere is fun and vibrant.
A bit pricey but overall it was a great experience.
Would definitely go back soon
Beautiful place. Unfortunately service was very slow. We had to ask for silverware and had to find our own napkins. Never did receive our bread. With that said...food was amazing. Our server was very personable and loved the ambience
Everything was perfect! I will always return and highly recommend!
Tavern on the Green is an iconic NY restaurant -- wonderfully re-imagined. The decor is gorgeous; with floor to ceiling glass walls that look out onto the garden, a beautifully landscaped garden; and a cozy and elegant bar, and gorgeous kitchen the opens to the restaurant. The menu is limited -- few healthy options, one vegetarian choice - no vegan options, and the food is fine. The service at the restaurant is excellent. Reservations and noise are both issues. We could not hear each other over background MUSAK; and we asked to shift our reservation forward, and was told it was impossible -- but the restaurant had plenty of available seats. A solid choice; better for small parties who can hear each other across a small table.
Tavern on the Green is a vast space with many different seating areas. Be careful to ask for a specific view. We were seated at the back, and it was too late to change tables by the time I arrived from parking the car. We ended up in the blazing sun, away from other tables and away from other people. It was fine, but reminded me of eating on our own at home. Next time, I will book inside as that space is really lovely. If I am seated outside, I want to be seated where I can see other patrons and the band. Also, there is no valet parking so be sure to park before you arrive.
It was my daughters bday. I let the waitress know and she didn’t do anything special for her. The French toast was good…but not worth $23. My daughters chicken fingers were good. The non-alcoholic strawberry/kiwi spritzer was gross. The mimosa was nothing special. Not with $$90 with tax and tip. Won’t go there again.
Excellent ambiance with that special NYC flair. The proximity to Central park made for the perfect afternoon.
Fabulous setting outside with view of the park. Attentive and polite service. Excellent food and drink. Highly recommend.
Lovely Sunday brunch menu. Staff were professional and friendly.
Great food and as always, excellent service! Thank you to Matt and Orlando for making my Mother's birthday dinner so memorable.
I always remembered Tavern on the Green as a beautiful restaurant with mediocre food. This time, the food was top-notch, service was very good as well.
Prices are a bit steep but worth it for the quality.
Service was impeccable.
Atmosphere was warm and pleasant.
Great experience! So glad they reopened :)
Food was excellent and service was good. Noise was loud as always but we enjoyed our experience
I came here with my fiancé to celebrate our engagement. We have been very much looking forward to going to Tavern on the Green for years. We live close by and would frequent their outdoor bar before Covid but had never had the opportunity in enjoy their food. Today we finally got that chance!
I will say their food is okay. It’s not the most exciting food in the world but it was enjoyable. We got the breakfast pizza (yum) and eggs Benedict. They also had great aperol spritz (tis the season!) The food was pretty generic - not much of a difference between here and any other restaurant but it was fine.
I think next time my fiancé and I will just sit at the outdoor bar and have a more casual experience. Although the indoor area was beautiful it was relatively warm and super loud. It wasn’t the most relaxing atmosphere for us to celebrate. The food was also brought extremely quickly. I think we were in and out in a total of 35 minutes. Haha
All in all our experience was fine. Will we go back for an “official” meal? Probably not. But we will 100% be back to enjoy the outdoor bar area and some bar bites.
Who knows maybe we’ll try dinner and my review will change.
Not a lot on the weekend brunch menu. Food was great! Seemed like service was rushing us out and we eat fast.
Live Music Friday evening was boisterous but fun. Lots of older couples up and dancing to the big band swing music. Ambiance was fantastic and the light early summer breeze was great. A bit cramped for space on the patio but great to see NYC starting to return to some normalcy after a year+ of Covid restrictions.
Beautiful restaurant, amazing environment, wonderful music live, but our last experience the service was very poor. We wait for 1 hr and half for a drink and so on for the rest of the dinner.
We’ve been visiting Tavern since they re-opened in May 2021 on 6 of 8 Friday evening for jazz night. Beckah, the Floor Manager and her team are awesome, efficient, polite and helpful. Food is good but prices have gone up in recent weeks. The outdoors bar staff are great but understaffed and overworked serving at bar and the bar tables. The atmosphere in the courtyard garden at night is wonderful, relaxing and lovely
Great ambiance, especially with the live music. The food was pretty good too, but not worth the price. But, think about it this way--you are paying for the food & the experience! Overall, 4/5!
We wished Tavern on the Green would put the French Toast and Maple Bacon on their everyday lunch menu. My friends were just visiting until Friday so they missed the delicious French toast..
First meal out since February and it was definitely worth it. Great ambiance as ever. Friendly service from when we walked up to reception to the end. Attentive staff. Food was fantastic!
Come back to NYC and enjoy one of our most enjoyable venues.
I was expecting more… the gastronomy is not the best
Everything was very good. I asked to be seated outside and was very nice , except their was cat odor.
Incredible ambiance, light, bright and in Central Park. Extremely accommodating staff and chef with good food. A MUST visit when you're in NYC.
So GREAT to have the Tavern on the Green back and open!! No place in Manhattan like it!
