Locally sourced and seasonally inspired, Tavern on Kruse changes it's "Seasonal Harvest" menus every 8 weeks as we weave the season's perfectly fresh and perfectly ripe bounty into our offerings. Our executive chef, Nathan Bates, spent four and half years at the Michelin 3-Star "Fifth Floor" in San Francisco, working under Laurent Gras (who Celebrity Chef David Chang calls "the greatest chef in the world'). While there, Chef Nate was part of preparing the 90th birthday party for Julia Child which was made famous in the climax of the movie "Julie & Julia." Nate also headed the kitchens at Portland's "Lucy's Table" and Portland's best-kept culinary secret, the "Uptown Billiards Club." All other on-line reservations will be seated in our dining room. Two thirds of our venue is bar-area seating and is available on a walk-in basis. Parties larger than 10pp must give us a call at 503.303.5280.

Private party facilities
We now have a private dining facility called Tavern Annex with screens, projectors it's own bar and seating for up to 40. http://www.tavernonkruse.com/tavern-annex The indoor capacity of Tavern is 118; 144 if we remove seating to create a dance floor. We have another 90 seats outdoors split between two patios which can be rented separately or in conjunction with indoor space, bringing our total event capacity to 200.
