Tavern in Littleton, CO has a reputation for being a great place to go for people who want to have some quality pub style food along with a drink. Whether you are heading to the eatery with family and friends or even to grab a bite to eat on your own, you will have a good time.
Some of the options at the Tavern include burgers, sandwiches, chicken pot pie, classic meatloaf and sausage and pepper pasta. Tavern has a variety of pizza options, as well as salad, such as the spinach salmon salad. Of course, you will find plenty of appetizers as well as a full drink menu.
I tend to frequent The Tavern Littleton on Tuesday Trivia nights, but also go there when I can't catch my sports teams on the TV. It can get a little loud in there, but the staff is very friendly and service is quick. There is a decent selection of draft beers, and the menu is excellent for what is, in essence, a bar. The Tavern is easily accessible due to it's proximity to both the Littleton terminal of Lite-Rail, as well as easy to get to from Santa Fe.
This was my 2nd trip to the Tavern in a month. My server on Tuesday was Matthew, what a great guy, suberb service! I have ordered the Thia chicken both times, it is delicious. My husband had the fish/chips. We will diffently visit the Tavern again. I have been bragging about your establishment to my family/friends.
The food was good, not great. But, it is noted for the bar scene and not for the food. We had excellent service and that really made the difference. I will go back for the scene, not the food. Overall, a nice experience for a couple or a group of friends to gather an have a good time.
Stopped here after flying into Denver late evening. Chose the location because it was near my hotel and the menu I viewed online said the kitchen closed at midnight. When I arrived at 10:15 our server said that only appetizers were served after 10 pm. Although this was a little disappointing, the appetizer selection was good, the portions were huge, the food was excellent, and all appetizers were half price after 10.
A great find. I will return next time I'm in town.
The kitchen had some problems with our order. When we got our food there were some mixups. I think they need to work on their food service.
Poor service, too noisy to talk, no recognition of the special occasions we were celebrating, and hit-or-miss (much of it miss!) food. Whenever we've been to a restaurant with these kinds of problems, they inevitably go out of business within a year or two. We expect no less of this one and certainly won't return ourselves. Skip it!
A good staple in anyone's restaurant portfolio. Fun athmoshpere with plenty of TVs for those sports nuts, 2-for-1 happy hour specials, and pretty darn good food all make this a fun place to visit. I wouldn't recommend it for a romantic dinner, but a gathering of friends or co-workers or a reasonable priced dinner for any family group are great reasons to check out the Tavern.
Loved the rooftop! Food was really good, service a bit slow, but they were pretty busy... We'll be back!
Enjoyed our lunch experience on the roof. Having a valet service in busy downtown Littleton is a definite advantage. All in all a lovely dining experience.
I counted 20 tv's just from where I was seated. My friends and I could not hold a reasonable conversation without practically yelling to each other. I would pick Merle's over the Littleton Tavern any day...We will not go back.
Adults and young adults in our group all had a great time. Trivia was a smash hit we will return for another night!
1. 2 people had fish n chips.Neither thought it was good.Fish batter over ccoked.Other food plates nothing special.
2. No Coors Lite beer
We were a group of seven family members gathering for some fun and had never been here before. I made reservations easily two days before we wanted to dine through Open Table. It was easy to find on Main Street and Curtice, with parking behind and out on the streets. What a pretty neighborhood, with the trees lit in the evening. The server was Taylor. She was prompt and friendly. She was very attentive to our needs. There were no problems with our orders an din general, the food was quite good. My husband said his burger was okay and I thought my chicken, walnut, apple, salad with a sprinkle of cheese was perfect and large. I had to take half of it home. My daughter enjoyed her salad and burger. Aa place with a good, affordable menu.
The Tavern has a great brunch and I absolutely love the coffee bar. My only disappointment this time was the lack of attention to keeping the coffee bar stocked. I had to ask about stocking of 3 different items...and also mentioned that the regular coffee was overly watered down (but yet nothing was done to remedy the situation). Other than than, the service and food were wonderful (as always)...and I love that it is kid friendly.
Ashley our waitress did a great job helping us with our specials needs.
nice variety on menu - flavors very good! Valet parking, greatly appreciated!
Very difficult to have a conversation and or to hear our waiter at our table due to the very loud and large groups that were all over the restaurant. I would probably not recommend for a quiet intimate dinner but overall experience was good.
The food was excellent but the noise level was a little too loud for catching up with friends.
Great place to watch a game. So many tvs and in sync. Go Broncos!
Restaurant had cold air coming into booths, had to wear coats the whole time eating. Waitress kept forgetting about us and had to ask for water, butter twice and 10 minutes after finishing our meal had look for our waitress to get our check.
Awful service and experience (for the second time) so I thought I would leave a review. It took quite a while to get a drink and even longer to order and receive our entrees. The entrees were OK at best and overpriced for the quality you receive. Overall the past two times have been bad in terms of service and quality of food. We will not return.
Our fist visit to the Tavern - Littleton. We were looking for a sports bar with plenty of screens to host all of the NFL games on Sunday, but it needed to be classy, comfortable, and not too rowdy. The Tavern - Littleton fit the bill perfectly. The Tavern - Littleton provides a very relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. While the place was full of NFL fans rooting for their favorite teams, we could still easily carry on a conversation at normal speaking volume. Good beer selection, good food. We will be back!
Excellent service by our waiter. Food was very good.
Went to the tavern Littleton for the broncos game and bottomless mimosas. Full of energetic broncos fans and my glass was full the whole time. Extremely fun!
It was very loud & hard to hold on a conversation!
The menu is quite extensive. The food was very average. I ordered the pizza margherita and received a big mess of a pizza that had globs of greasy shredded mozeralla on top rather than the delicate little rounds I was hoping for; it also had a ton of crunchy dried garlic and several too thick and sloppy slices of tomato. The crust was good. Our group also ordered the Mediterranean salad, the sliders and a French dip. No one was particularly overwhelmed with the food. The hummus on the salad plate was grainy rather than creamy. The mashed sweet potatoes were very oddly flavored and unpleasant. The house wine I ordered made my chest break out in red blotches-- it is very cheap wine and not even worth the calories.
I must mention that we went on a night that the Broncos were playing and that wasn't the reason we were there. The food was excellent. The service was a little slow but they were packed. It also got very noisy. If you go for a game, it would be the best. I am looking forward to going when there is not a game.
this would have been so much better had the designers bothered to put in some noise deadening bits---it is almost unbearable in the noise department so i really will only go back when i can sit outside or go very late at night--bummer, cuz i was so looking forward to a swell neighborhood place to go to often.
Jordan-our waiter was very helpful and friendly. We had huge group for a Bridal party. I'm the Area Director of Sales & Marketing for Hilton Garden Inn and Residence Inn by Marriott--Highlands Ranch and would definitely bring clients there, happy hour and will recommend.
The food was ordinary bar quality. My salad looked like it had been around for weeks!
Great spinach dip. Flavorless hummus. We went there pre-theatre and couldn't even have a conversation due to Bronco game. Too bad there are so few places open in downtown Littleton on a Sunday for a quick bite before the theatre.
The staff was not very friendly or know much about menu.
We sat on the patio! It was wonderful, and the food was fantastic. I had the amd and turkey croissant with fries. It's nice to have a place so close to home that has a patio.
The noise level was so intolerable that we only had an appetizer and left. Because of the noise level we will never return. We don't go out to eat to have to yell at each other.
Food was good. Place is very loud.
Very happy to have a Tavern location closer to where I live. The best Fish 'n Chips outside of Seattle. Excellent Happy Hour. I have been to four Tavern locations and enjoyed them all.
A great bar for downtown Littleton. The ranch dressing is amazing (homemade)! I recommend getting a side of fries and dipping them. The only negative was the trivia game that they had going on during the dinner hour. I was hard to talk while the DJ was asking questions. Perhaps trivia after 8PM might work better.
My wife loved it. I thought it was over-priced and too loud for me. The food was good, but I can find the same quality for less $ many places in the metro area.
"Energetic" is NOT the word. It was NOISY in an unpleasant way. I hate having to shout when speaking to people sitting across from me. The whole purpose of going out with friends is to talk and be with them. A restaurant should not be all about making that difficult. "Energetic" would have been nice.
too expensive, too many restaurants in small area, some won't make it, I prefer the old stand bys
