Tavern In The Village
We went for brunch and it was excellent! All four of us loved our dishes and brunch drinks
An exceptional value, excellent service, they seated us early, food was excellent, portions appropriately sized - all excellent. Server was extraordinary.
With three of f my bestest friends, we have celebrated our birthdays together for over and our friendships that have pasted the 45 year mark. For the past couple of years, we have enjoyed long lunches at Tavern at Mission Farms where the food is wonderful and the service excellent. Debbie, our amazing server this time, is a Reba McIntire clone with fabulous wit to match. We will be back soon!!!
We meet at Tavern in the Village once a month to catch up. Last visit we were celebrating a birthday. Everything was perfection ... as always!
Our favorite neighborhood spot!
Great food and a nice setting. Only complaints were that the parking lot was an absolute madhouse. Excellent location for a business lunch, with fast service and a menu with something for everyone.
Excellent as always. Salad and veggie selection is the best in the area. Seasoned staff know what they are doing and why we are there.
Loved the patio seating in the beautiful weather, our service was excellent, and the nachos appetizer was spicy, cheesy and delicious.
Tavern is always a great experience!
Food was great. Drinks and food were delivered quickly on a busy Friday night. Will be back. Thanks for the great service.
Yes,it was a busy Friday evening, but the noise level from the bar overwhelmed the dining room.
I was not happy that even though I let them know when reservation was made and again when I arrived we were celebration my friends birthday they did not acknowledge it. I have been there in the past with friends and they always have before. That part was not to my liking but other wise good
Food was good and price was a little high but it was expected. The server wasn’t bad or good just there. It wasn’t extremely busy and I’ll be trying again
I try to eat Brunch at THE TAVERN in the VILLAGE -- every weekend -- both Saturday & Sunday !!
it's just the best --- a fabulous menu, delicious food --- always, very welcoming -- SO, SO CLEAN --- it's cozy, & just the perfect setting for breakfast on the weekend !!
We really always enjoy going to Tavern, however we didn't get the best service this time. Our waiter was friendly and nice but he had too many tables and we didn't get great attention, waited a long time at the end of the meal for our bill.
Nice restaurant but a bit overpriced for the flavor. Food wasn’t warm. Great ambiance. If in the area, I would eat there again but wouldn’t make a special trip.
The service is always consistent. Food was excellent. Had the new beet and scallop salad which was delicious.
I like the place but lately the food has not been the best.
This is a great place for business lunches, good service and good food and reasonable prices.
Great food, attentive staff.
Always a good dining experience in the same space where we once rented movies!
The staff was very kind and gave us a private table as I had requested. The food and service are always top-notch.
Wonderful Saturday brunch. They make a great Bloody Mary. The crab cake Benedict is a terrific dish. Easily one of the best casual restaurants in KC.
Dinner was good as usual on Friday night... friendly atmosphere... table was ready when we arrived
Always have a nice dinner here.
A wonderful neighbor eatery. They have a popular happy hour and good food and service!
Our favorite place in Prairie Village!
Always fine food and great service. Reservations are easy to get and great ambiance.
two of the three pancakes were burnt, but the server was great and returned them for others. Thanks.
Server was inattentive at best. Food was average.
We will be back! We each had a filet done to perfection! Service could not have been better.
we enjoyed a nice Saturday evening with dinner here. our table was ready when we arrived. our server, who was extremely busy, managed to give us just the right amount of attention. she informed us of the specials, let us take our time looking over the menu, and wasn't afraid to ask for help when we had a tricky question about a bottle of wine. all in all, we had a lovely experience. we will most certainly come back. thank you!
It’s a nice restaurant, close to home, they have lots of choices on the menu.
It is a great neighborhood place for lunch, cocktails or dinner
Every time we try it, we always a delicious meal here!
We had never tried the rib eye steak.... it was outstanding!
Wonderful lunch location. Much cozier than the Mission location.
Entrees that are pasta/gnocchi based are too heavily salted and oiled. They leave you feeling ill. The chef could stand to take some lessons from the French and California. I've learned to stick to the seafood to minimize the lipid-salt attack. The salads are good. The multipack rolls for bread, I have always found amusing. They should really up their game with some decent fresh baked dinner bread. You feel like you unexpectedly dropped in on your weird aunt, and all she had were cheap multipack rolls for bread. The place is very convenient and the people nice. This time of year, the physical space is problematic because of either being overheated when seated next to the fires or refrigerated when next to the windows. Being seated in the back, away from both is the way to find comfort in the winter. I know this sounds negative. I like the place. I think with some tweaking and maybe key personnel changes, this could be a fantastic place to eat. Right now, it scores points for convenience and decent drink prices and choices.
Wonderful food and great service! Totally recommended!
Our usual pleasant evening of good food and good service... plenty of friends to see at Tavern ...
