Tavern & Table is the dream child of Cecil & Dianne Crowley, Andy Palmer & Jeff Condon. After years of working together on various successful restaurant concepts, they wanted to bring together the very best aspects of fine dining and casual hospitality in a beautiful and comfortable setting. Tavern & Table is more than a restaurant, it was created to be a gathering place where people sit in comfort and share small plates for the table or enjoy a hearty meal. The bartenders know the fine art of cocktail making and their interest in flavor and presentation comes alive in not only in the food but in barrel aged cocktails that are created in-house.

    The food at Tavern and Table is delicious (we were there for brunch). The portions were a good size and fairly priced IMO. The front desk had 2 lovely attendants as well. Our server however, was awful. She could not remember what we ordered, and had to come back and re-ask. She never checked on us after our food was served, never asked if we needed something else to drink, etc. When we were done, never even asked if we needed or wanted dessert. We asked the check to be split evenly between the 2 couples. There was one card and cash. She didn't bring change, when she should have when the card was also returned. I've been to T & T before and never had this issue.

    Service great, good server. Lovely restaurant. Only downside was the menu. Adding more options would go a long way. Ordered brisket Mac, phenomenal. Partner ordered steak and I ordered scallops. Along with 2 glasses of wine and espresso martini for dessert. Steak was decent per my partner, slightly overcooked. Scallops were good but the romesco sauce used killed the dish. Really upsetting because the scallops were great so the dish has potential. The romesco sauce does not pair well with scallops, my opinion though. Would suggest creamy lemon garlic sauce. Will be back though.

    The atmosphere & ambiance is amazing! The rest missed the target We got our food before our apps, I never received my 2nd drink (so I ended up canceling it) & we ran out of napkins 3 times during the meal. Definitely wished the service & food timing was done properly , it would have been a perfect dinner

    From the minute you enter the restaurant, the hostesses welcome you. They checked our reservations and took us to our table. Our server, Meagan, greeted us cheerfully and totally upbeat. She was helpful, charming and was able to offer multiple suggestions. The food was served warm and very tasty.

    Kim is an excellent server! The chicken sandwich, flat bread, and pastrami turkey sandwich were outstanding. Nice atmosphere on Shem Creek.
