Tavern & Table is the dream child of Cecil & Dianne Crowley, Andy Palmer & Jeff Condon. After years of working together on various successful restaurant concepts, they wanted to bring together the very best aspects of fine dining and casual hospitality in a beautiful and comfortable setting. Tavern & Table is more than a restaurant, it was created to be a gathering place where people sit in comfort and share small plates for the table or enjoy a hearty meal. The bartenders know the fine art of cocktail making and their interest in flavor and presentation comes alive in not only in the food but in barrel aged cocktails that are created in-house.

    Had a reservation, arrived early and was told the first come first serve outdoor tables were not available for us. She checked us in and said she would come to the bar when our table was ready, she didn’t. Husband went to ask, she said we could sit outside 15 minutes after our reservation time was, that didn’t happen either. 30 minutes after our reservation time we were seated outside. Strange for the delay because there were plenty of open tables outside.

    As a local for 20 years, I’ve been coming to T&T since its birth. On this visit, my tuna 🍣 poke bowl rocked, but our server, Joe, was the highlight!

    Never disappointed! We always get the roasted oysters. Also had the spicy firecracker shrimp. The bison burger was phenomenal as was the ahi tuna bowl!!!

    Pimento cheese and Bacon Jam - if you're expecting a sweet and salty bacon jam avoid this. Tasted, smelled and looked like liverwurst.

    Ambiance and location are awesome. Have loved this place for dinner, but brunch was just OK. Food options limited, for example no vegetarian options, no light options, everything on the “heavy” side. Shrimp and grits was not very good. Being on Shem Creek expected local fresh shrimp and the grits were tasteless. The brisket hash was good, but only about 4 small pieces of brisket were in the bowl.

    We have been here many times and had great experiences. I have loved their shrimp and grits in the past and was looking forward to having it again. We went with friends who were visiting from out of town, and I recommended the shrimp and grits and the burnt ends Mac and cheese. Three of us ordered shrimp and grits and the other got the Mac and cheese, which was delicious. However, they have changed the recipe for the shrimp and grits and it was so spicy that it was overwhelming and not enjoyable at all. Nowhere in the description on the menu indicated that it was spicy. We were very disappointed

    We enjoyed brunch! The host was very nice and let us choose a table from three different sections and told us the weather at each section.

    We had cocktails and ordered multiple starters for dinner. The Dynamite Shrimp was outstanding! We ordered a second serving. We were somewhat disappointed with the Crab and Artichoke Dip. Tasty, but not a whole lot of crab or artichoke apparent in the dish. The service was great: our server was very attentive. We arrived early, but before we left the noise level went up significantly.
