    Wanted a 6pm reservation was told not available. So made 5 pm reservations. Order appetizers and drinks, decent not bad. Now it’s 6pm and the restaurant is about 30% full. So I ask our waitress why couldn’t I get a 6pm reservation. She try her best to explain they were short on staff. Ok I understand. Now our dinner comes out, I had swordfish no taste very bland, it was on a very sweet sauce. Didn’t pair at all. Everyone else felt very disappointed with their food. Wanted to like this place but couldn’t with subpar food. Sorry

    Excellent service and delicious food. Our table had a great view where we could see the water and pelicans. The dessert was a bit disappointing. Restaurant should have listed it as a tart as it was smaller than expected.

    I came with friends who had enjoyed a wonderful brunch here and wanted to go for dinner. I had a hard timing finding something to order but settled on the appetizer pimento cheese with bacon jam. Different but our table really enjoyed it. One in our group ordered a salad with shrimp. Her only comment was not enough dressing (I realize she could have asked for more). My hubby seemed to like his Italian flat bread. Two of us had fig and prosciutto flatbread. What a supreme disappointment. The first piece I cut off, the bottom of the crust was and the figs were completely burnt (awful). Luckily the bottom of the crust on the rest of the bottom only had occasional burnt areas. Unfortunately 70-80 percent of the figs were completely charred. The rest were dried out and flavorless. I could not taste any of the fig. There also was very little prosciutto. I think the only way to make this a winner would be to add more prosciutto and after cooked, drizzle with a fig sauce. Then diners would be really able to taste the combination of the prosciutto and fig. This was just one item that I felt was an epic failure but with little menu items that attracted me, dinner there again is a no. The service and staff were great. I will definitely be back, but only to eat from the brunch menu.

    This was my second time dining here while visiting Charleston and it was as gr as t an experience as the first time. The food was delicious and delivered quickly. Our server Leia was awesome! She was helpful in choosing our food and drinks. She even surprised my husband with a dessert for his Birthday! It will always be a stop when visiting the area.

    I love the atmosphere at Tavern & Table. Comfortable chairs & tables with a upscale farmhouse feel and the service and food was fabulous. Perfect for a girls night out or date night.

    Tavern and Table is a great place to eat lunch and dinner. The menu is diverse using fresh ingredients with options to meet everyone's palate. A beautiful setting on Shem Creek lends to a totally enjoyable atmosphere with ample parking right in front of the restaurant.

    The music outside was so loud we could not enjoy conversation during the meal. We asked the staff to turn down the music. They said that they would but they did not. Nobody wants to be hounded by loud pop music during fine dining at an otherwise peaceful, romantic waterside environment.

    Sunday brunch was fair. The shrimp and grits were okay, but came out lukewarm and had to be sent back for reheating. The burrito was okay but just barely warm. Now, I will say that the hamburger was very good and maybe worth another trip, but the french fries were "out of the bag" pedestrian. The smoked salmon app was good and generous, but the benne seed wafers didn't seem to be quite the right accompaniment for it. One thing that did really suffer for us was our server. Maybe he had a long week, and he didn't want to be there, but it sure did show. When I asked him to repeat his name for me, he replied, "Maybe it's time to turn up the Bell-Tone." Effectively implying that at my 60years of age, I obviously must be wearing hearing aids?! Yeah, that did not set the mood for me or my elderly parents who were there celebrating their octogenarian birthdays.

    Always tasty and great atmosphere. We had the T&T charcuterie board to start. Nice selection to get your tastebuds going. I had the grilled veggie entree and my husband had the steak. Both dishes were excellent. Service was great and attentive.

    Picked this place based on ratings. When we arrived the parking lot was full so we had to go to a nearby pay lot costing $12. Seated promptly and ordered drinks which were fine. Ordered an appetizer along with a flatbread to share. The appetizer (Brussels Sprouts) came out promptly and were good. But the flatbread never came and we asked for the check. A manager came over and offered to have one made, on the house, which we agreed to. It was good. But the poor service and loud table of guys next to us made the experience disappointing.

    We had oysters and wings. Both were salty. The oysters were awesome but we couldn’t eat the wing’s except the inside. The skin was extremely salty. Like the salt was dumped on. I liked the spice but couldn’t eat them. Service was great

    A former Mt. Pleasant resident, we were in town and looking for a nice night out, what a disappointment. Parking is a disaster, the restaurant is super run down and the menu is anemic. We had a drink, an appetizer and then left. So disappointed!

    We took relatives from out of state that had never been here before and they thought it was great. Tavern and Table is are go to on Shem Creek, couldn’t ask for anything more. Food atmosphere and service are all great every time we go.

    I always enjoy dinning on Shem Creek, especially with out-of-town friends. The outdoor seating is a bonus on nice days. We enjoy the good food, the surroundings, and watching life on the creek. Our server, Grace, was amazing! She checked on us regularly, helped with a personal menu request, was very pleasant and cheerful.

    We met some family that were in town for a wedding. This was a last minute reservation and boy it exceeded our expectations! Brussels very tasty as well as the shrimp and grits. Fun atmosphere to boot!

    We keep trying - this was our 4th time here. They were better during covid? They actually wanted to be a great restaurant. Since then we’ve been back 3 times and although the view is nice, the food is not worth it. The best service was the bar. The sit down? Just unorganized and not attentive and some servers we had were not very nice. The food is mediocre but we knew that and paid for the view. But discussion wise, we are done with going there. Especially now?? Why would I fork out 280 bucks and more if the service sucks? There are better views.

    We loved this place- we were so happy to celebrate my fathers birthday here. We ended up ordering mostly appetizers to share and everything was absolutely delicious! Gillian was a very kind server, and all the drinks were super yummy
