Tavern & Table
Fantastic, fresh food made by food artists and served in an idyllic environment. Service was great and value for money unsurpassed.
The menu was pretentious and misleading. We almost left before we ate due to the selection offered. The windows were dirty/salty. Clean them every night.
The waitress was very nice and cheerful. We left her a big tip.
Definitely would not tell others to go there. We have too many good restaurants in our area.
Sat behind bar area, was very comfortable and low noise area
Good food, good time, good service. What more could you ask for?
We got to experience Restaurant Week and sampled many wonderful dishes. The restaurant was our family's favorite on our recent trip to Charleston.
Honestly...having a meal during restaurant week is not necessarily the best way to try out a new restaurant due to limitation of the menu but here I go. The appetizers were great...the chick pea fries were off the chart along with the oyster Rockefeller fixed three ways.
The main course was very limited and I got the feeling were cooked in advance as everyone's meal was on the dry side.
The chocolate three ways was really good as the chocolate layers were not too sweet and not too overbearing...I ate all of mine.
I am not sure if I would go back for restaurant week but I would give it a try again. The question was asked if I would recommend to a friend...not yet but let me give it another try.
Apps were AMAZING ! That pimento cheese and bacon jam....... no words. Also Panko fried devil eggs.... stop. The flavors were delicious and I’m craving it again right now. Also we got the full seafood tower and the marinated fish was so tasty and spicy and the fresh seafood was just mouthwatering. The burnt end
Macaroni and cheese was very tasty but wish it had a little more brisket on top. The clam chowder was amazing and the beer and wine selections were plentiful. The brick oven was down for a bit when we were there but I heard the flatbreads were amazing as well. Great place for a date , the family, girls night , joe just to eat something comforting and amazing. Rustic charm and right on the water. Can’t wait to go back.
Great restaurant on shem creek..the location is great and the food is excellent..please go and enjoy
Cory, our server, was excellent. He was attentive, personable and efficient. I would say that your prices have increased somewhat. I asked for the House Chardonnay” and it was $14/glass. Yikes!
My husband and I went for a date at lunchtime and enjoyed our experience overall. We chose outdoor seating which felt less upscale than their indoor dining area. We thought Table and Tavern served generous portions for the price and the food was good.
Entertained a group visiting Charleston for the first time and they loved the location and the cuisine. Several attendees were from Europe and they had never enjoyed Lowcountry fare. Needless to say, they are now big fans!
Dinner with my college age daughter her favorite place to go!!
We had great service and delicious food. It was a Saturday night so the noise level was high, but we all had fun. It was a good night.
Dynamite shrimp is quite tasty. House salad a bit hard to handle( extremely large pieces of lettuce). Had a special crunch wrap of the house burger and Husband has the grilled veggies.
Overall service was pretty good and restaurant is gorgeous.
Great time with visiting friends. There is a variety of delicious food options for all ages and tastes. Perfect low country atmosphere.
Great food and great service.
Food was delicious and atmosphere was lively and fun!
Parking is the only challenge. Food, service, and ambience are always excellent. There’s something for everyone on the menu.
Cool place to eat on our way to Boone Hall plantation which was shot in the movie The Notebook.
Excellent place for lunch!
Nice meal and excellent service!
fried deviled eggs were so good and the hot sauce they can with even better! can’t go wrong with the shrimp and grits and the mac n cheese is the perfect amount of cheesey.
i do wish they had happy hour at the table and not just the bar but i wish that of many places!
Had a great early dinner. Burger was good. Drinks were good.
Great meals, healthy choices, well prepared and locally sourced. Very helpful service. Will definitely return!
Not as nice for a special occasion as I had expected. Service and food was just average, noise level was too high for easy conversation. Always heard good things, but did not live up to the reputation.
Great atmosphere wonderful food nice service definitely will go back
In from out of town and came as a recommendation. The vibe and decor was awesome! Loved it. Food was good, husband loves the whole fish and scallops were delicious. Nice place.
Beautiful setting and amazing food. Me and mother went when visiting Boone Hall and it was perfect.
One of my favorite Mt P lunch spots
Had a great evening here. Food was lovely, service was good. Definitely recommend this place.
Server took order and asked if our food was good. He never came around to refill iced teas even though we repeatedly tried to get his attention. We finally flagged down another server who took care of us. He never asked if we wanted dessert even though we were celebrating a birthday. We were just a table of 4 so we expected better service.
Server obviously didn’t want to be at work. Very unfriendly, no help with menu. Only checked on table once.
Unfortunately, they were out of 90% of their wines. We expected more out of the menu and overall experience. As a Charleston native, I want to support local businesses, but this last experience will resonate with me for a bit.
Cole is great addition to the staff! Busy day and handled it like a pro!
Just what we needed: dining on the water with good food, good service, and happy peeps. Had to try the fried deviled eggs....very interesting and unusual color. Brussel sprouts were very rich: thought they were roasted, but actually fried. Not a fan of the Bloody Mary.....too sweet.
Great food and service, a little pricy for the entrees but overall we really enjoyed it.
Always one of my favorite restaurants. Smaller menu but the food and service are excellent. We were in the mood for a burger and I selected the Bison Burger. It was delicious
I used to really enjoy this restaurant but they have really gone downhill. Food was not good, tons of kids, no parking, waitress seemed annoyed to have to serve us. It was a let down, and there are too many choices in Charleston to go back somewhere that doesn't measure up!
