Food is great
Will come again when back in town
To begin with, the atmosphere at Tavern & Table is very southern and has a comfortable feel. Of course the food was terrific and we had a wonderful server. My wife and I can't wait to go back!
Great service and food. No one in my group had eaten here before and all 3 of us were pleased. We sat inside and it was quite so that would talk and not feel like anyone was listening.
Food was excellent and the waitress was very attentive, friendly and helpful with menu selections.
Cocktails are very watered down . Food selection never changes and trying to get outside seating is impossible.
Great ambiance! Excellent food:-) We sat outside and it had a fun vibe. Despite it being a very busy afternoon, the management is doing an excellent job in terms of seating, timeliness of food/drink service and courteous personnel. I’ve been here several times and it consistently delivers. Grazie!
Great food and cocktails enjoyed by the water. Highly recommend
Great food and views
The bison burger was delicious.
Took our family out while on Spring Break. We were seated immediately and were given the option to sit out on the deck, which I highly recommend! The food was great, and the kid's meal options were on point. The shrimp and grits were terrific and my daughter's chicken sandwich was huge! The best part of it all was the ambiance--very upscale but still casual enough to enjoy with your family and the covered deck was stunning during the beautiful weather. We even got to enjoy watching a few dolphins traipsing by. Must try!
Great outdoor place to eat along Shem creek and watch the dolphins and pelicans. Our food was outstanding. Our server was ok.....and the atmosphere delightful!
Nice view but we couldn’t even sit outside. Food is so average. I’d rather spend $30 on an entree pretty much anywhere else.
Food was great, the restaurant is beautiful! It has a great view of Shem Creek. There was an issue with an appetizer we ordered that made the experience less than stellar. We were told a mistake had been made and the app had to be remade. After waiting, our server let us know the second batch had been burnt and the item would be made again. Then we finished our other items... got our checks... and inquired again about the appetizer. The server told us they were still working on the third batch and that we would have to wait longer. At that point, we no longer wanted to wait (about 1.5 hours after we ordered it). It was weird and threw off an otherwise good experience.
Took girlfriend out for Bday lunch. We both had the tuna bowl. Delicious! We came early and sat outside on the porch. Weather was perfect...:
One of our favorite restaurants. We were really glad to go back safely. The outdoor seating on Shem Creek is divine
We looooved T&T. The space is beautiful, the food is excellent and our server Jackie was fabulous. She was clearly devoted to the restaurant and it really made our experience all the more amazing. We lucked out and got to try a softshell crab special! It was divine right down to the Asian slaw. The roasted oysters were briny/smokey/buttery goodness (we regret not ordering a second round of them.) Don't miss the Dynamite shrimp or those fried Brussels. Take a walk on the riverfront before or after. We cannot wait to check out more of the menu when we get back to Shem Creek/Charleston.
We were sat early for our reservation which was nice. We enjoyed our meal. We got a seafood tower and charcuterie. Both were good. Kids enjoyed pizza and chicken tenders.
Couldn’t sit at picnic tables even though they were open, umbrella above us was broken and a piece swung down and almost hit my child in the head. Food was mediocre. Disappointed with seating area.
One of the many great restaurants in this area. The competition is high, so they all have to bring a strong product. If you want some delicious, low-country seafood, this is for you.
As a steady customer, I was surprised by the rudeness of the waiter and especially one of the hostesses that came over to our table to tell us that we have to be seated and that we just can't come off the street and sit down. Not only did we have reservations but the hostess (obviously not the same one) seated us with menu's. I told her that but she wasn't listening. To be shabbily treated like this is unacceptable so that was my last meal at your restaurant. And, I'll be sure to let people know that as well.
Great experience - delicious food!
Our server was great and everything we ordered was delicious, especially the Brussel sprouts!!
The food wasn’t as good as the first time I was there.. maybe just an off day
The dynamite shrimp are very tasty. I enjoyed them and would order them on our next visit and every visit thereafter. My husband enjoyed his oysters on the half shell. His swordfish was awesome! I ordered the steak frites at medium and they were medium in some pieces and medium rare in others. I did not care for the sauce that was served with the steak frites. It just did not go well with the steak. Over waitress, Katie, was awesome! I would ask to be seated in her area anytime. The restaurant is very nice and the atmosphere is great! It was not too loud and we could actually hear one another speaking at a normal volume. The parking is terrible; however, there are several restaurants using the same parking lot. I recommend using an Uber or Lyft so you don’t have the hassle of trying to park. We will definitely visit this restaurant again when in Charleston.
Found menu very limited. Not at all what we expected.
The service, food and atmosphere were all outstanding. I had the scallops over orzo and my husband had the fire roasted oysters. We will definitely eat here again the next time we are in the area.
Wonderful! Love the atmosphere! The food and service were excellent.
I had the double double and it had no flavor or seasoning. So I didn't eat it. My 2 friends enjoyed their food though! They had the steak and scallops. This is the second time I've eaten here and I'm personally just not impressed. However the wine selection is fabulous.
Best view, kind and very accommodating service, amazing food, and overall a perfect dining experience! 1000/10 recommend especially on a nice night around sunset!
Slow and did not get appetizer before meal. Would not recommend
Everything is always do fresh and tasty.
Hostess Bella was extremely rude to us several times. Bison burger was thrown together like slop.
I think we had expected a more upscale experience. It looked as though parts of the restaurant were slightly fancier, but we were seated nearer the bar and had a LARGE and LOUD birthday dinner right beside us so skewed our experience. The server was great and had good, helpful recommendations. The food was okay and good value. If looking for casual dining spot would recommend it.
It was ok !
We had a brand new server who was training and he was fabulous! His trainer was attentive and helped him a lot. The food came out in a ridiculously quick time. The food tasted amazing. The Brussels sprouts were legit the best I’ve had in town. Bison burger was very tasty.
We absolutely loved it!! Worth every penny!! Will definitely go back when we are back!
Very nice restaurant, clean, good food, good views of Shem Creek, excellent service, parking can be difficult, a little noisy inside.
The service was slow and the food is mediocre at best. The only good thing about the restaurant is the view.
