   T&T was middling at best. Not very many people on a Monday, but they acted as if they were slammed. Ran out of their best beer just when evening started or happy hour was in full swing. No longer can you get that $5 beer because they changed taps. Hmmm?

   Had not been here for a while so decided to give Sunday brunch a try. Had high hopes but it was mediocre at best. My wife got the chicken sandwich and fries. It was a large piece of fried chicken on a bun that was ok, nothing special. I had 3 dishes that caught my eye and asked the waitress for a recommendation from the three. She recommended the shrimp and grits so I went with that. The concept was good, shrimp and grits with collards and a fried egg on top. Shrimp and grits are usually very creamy. The grits were very dry, not creamy at all and the dish was so spicy all I could taste was the heat of the spice. Wasn’t what I expected for lowcountry shrimp and grits at all. Beautiful restaurant on the water but not sure if we will give them another try.

   Love this venue; beautiful decor, decent service. The food is generally very good. Love their salads. My husband had a crab cake sandwich which was just ok. We are from Maryland originally and a crab cake should be mostly lump crab, seasoned well and not filled with lots of bland breading and mayonnaise.

   Everything was overly spiced! The shrimp & grits was not edible. The mushroom flatbread was also overly spiced. There used to be a delicious fig flatbread- no longer. Noise level was very high. Service was good. Would think twice before going back.

    This was my fourth visit to Tavern and Table. The food is consistently good. And, such a beautiful location! Service was great. I like the lunch menu better than the dinner menu. Had the tuna poke bowl-soo good!
