Tavern & Table
Service fine. Greeting at front, indifferent, surprisingly indifferent. Food was just ok, nothing special, nothing memorable. There are so many places in Charleston that returning here will likely be quite a ways into the future.
Very enjoyable. Great sevive
Great food and great atmosphere!
grouper was not as waiter described , had clams not mussels and the stew was over powering with tomato base. Had to ask for refills on tea.
Great ambience, on the water, service was great (shout out to Leia) and the food we ordered was amazing. Would highly rec the fried deviled eggs.
Our first visit. Certainly won't be our last. Interesting menu and excellent staff. The food and beverages were top notch and our waitress catered to our 9 year old boy and made him feel very special!
Thank you Tavern And Table for making our family Valentine’s Day dinner an experience that we will always remember. The chef’s special was out of this world. Our children enjoyed their dinner as well. We can’t wait to visit for a causal night out out to try the flatbreads and burgers.
To the talented chef, we have one thing to say......Bravo!
The Scallop pasta was to spicy and quantity was to much. Only four scallops for $33.00 not good.
We’ve dined at T&T many times and sadly, the food qual
Just really good food both times we were there, once for lunch and then dinner. Very good service also.
Met an old friend for lunch!
Love love love this place and again it didn't disappoint. Beautiful outdoor seating and great waitstaff are a plus as well.
Best restaurant on Shem Creek. Definitely put a order in for the fried deviled eggs. Beautiful atmosphere and very fun bar. Our go to when entertaining visitors from out of town.
Everything was absolutely AMAZING! The staff was friendly and accommodating. We’ve found our new favorite spot!
Maybe I had higher expectations from the reviews I saw but the food was good but not as outstanding as I had hoped. Had the deviled eggs as an appetizer and instead of doing a traditional egg "creme" for the insert they tried something different that I don't think worked as well as a traditional deviled egg. The caesar salad was very dry - need more dressing on it. My shrimp and grits was ok but I had better. Now my husband really thought the scallops were very good. We had the milk shake and cookies for dessert. They should scrap the milk shake it was very watery and had a strange taste to it. Hate to say this but even McD has a thicker creamy milkshake that this one! Cookies were good. Overall enjoyed the restaurant but they certainly could work on some of their items!
Nice atmosphere, food & beverages, as well as service were great.
Every was excellent. My noise complaint because it was a business group with their computer on So the volume was a loud for the table to here. As a hostess I would have put them somewhere by themselves. With that said the food was excellent. We look forward to coming back soon.
Fantastic, fresh food made by food artists and served in an idyllic environment. Service was great and value for money unsurpassed.
The menu was pretentious and misleading. We almost left before we ate due to the selection offered. The windows were dirty/salty. Clean them every night.
The waitress was very nice and cheerful. We left her a big tip.
Definitely would not tell others to go there. We have too many good restaurants in our area.
Sat behind bar area, was very comfortable and low noise area
Good food, good time, good service. What more could you ask for?
We got to experience Restaurant Week and sampled many wonderful dishes. The restaurant was our family's favorite on our recent trip to Charleston.
Honestly...having a meal during restaurant week is not necessarily the best way to try out a new restaurant due to limitation of the menu but here I go. The appetizers were great...the chick pea fries were off the chart along with the oyster Rockefeller fixed three ways.
The main course was very limited and I got the feeling were cooked in advance as everyone's meal was on the dry side.
The chocolate three ways was really good as the chocolate layers were not too sweet and not too overbearing...I ate all of mine.
I am not sure if I would go back for restaurant week but I would give it a try again. The question was asked if I would recommend to a friend...not yet but let me give it another try.
Apps were AMAZING ! That pimento cheese and bacon jam....... no words. Also Panko fried devil eggs.... stop. The flavors were delicious and I’m craving it again right now. Also we got the full seafood tower and the marinated fish was so tasty and spicy and the fresh seafood was just mouthwatering. The burnt end
Macaroni and cheese was very tasty but wish it had a little more brisket on top. The clam chowder was amazing and the beer and wine selections were plentiful. The brick oven was down for a bit when we were there but I heard the flatbreads were amazing as well. Great place for a date , the family, girls night , joe just to eat something comforting and amazing. Rustic charm and right on the water. Can’t wait to go back.
Great restaurant on shem creek..the location is great and the food is excellent..please go and enjoy
Cory, our server, was excellent. He was attentive, personable and efficient. I would say that your prices have increased somewhat. I asked for the House Chardonnay” and it was $14/glass. Yikes!
My husband and I went for a date at lunchtime and enjoyed our experience overall. We chose outdoor seating which felt less upscale than their indoor dining area. We thought Table and Tavern served generous portions for the price and the food was good.
Entertained a group visiting Charleston for the first time and they loved the location and the cuisine. Several attendees were from Europe and they had never enjoyed Lowcountry fare. Needless to say, they are now big fans!
Dinner with my college age daughter her favorite place to go!!
We had great service and delicious food. It was a Saturday night so the noise level was high, but we all had fun. It was a good night.
Dynamite shrimp is quite tasty. House salad a bit hard to handle( extremely large pieces of lettuce). Had a special crunch wrap of the house burger and Husband has the grilled veggies.
Overall service was pretty good and restaurant is gorgeous.
Great time with visiting friends. There is a variety of delicious food options for all ages and tastes. Perfect low country atmosphere.
Great food and great service.
Food was delicious and atmosphere was lively and fun!
Parking is the only challenge. Food, service, and ambience are always excellent. There’s something for everyone on the menu.
Cool place to eat on our way to Boone Hall plantation which was shot in the movie The Notebook.
Excellent place for lunch!
Nice meal and excellent service!
fried deviled eggs were so good and the hot sauce they can with even better! can’t go wrong with the shrimp and grits and the mac n cheese is the perfect amount of cheesey.
i do wish they had happy hour at the table and not just the bar but i wish that of many places!
