Tavern & Table
Dinner: Nightly: 5:00pm - 10:00pm,
Wonderful experience and great for those with seafood allergies.
Food was good, portions were average, but entrees were very over priced, especially the fish. Many other places to go in Mt.Pleasant where fish entrees are just as food and $10 cheaper. I live up north. These were NYC prices.
Service was slow, but it was a Saturday night at 10pm. Steak on the salad was very undercooked. Clam chowder was very good. Pasta with crab was very good. Bison burger and regular burger, average.
The roasted Brussel Sprouts were fabulous. Bison burger was great and scallops were like butter! Chris was our waiter and he was a great sport with 4 girls on a fun girls trip. Bartenders were very skilled and personable. Definitely will be back!
The ambiance was beautiful - clean, crisp, modern, but felt intimate. Appropriate lighting, wonderful seating. Our server, Chris (I believe was his name), was perfectly professional and prompt. Would absolutely love to dine there again.
My family and I had an incredible birthday gathering for 6 on a Saturday night. Many restaurants are slow and quality is lower on Busy nights, but not this restaurant! The quality was outstanding. We ordered the seafood platter for the table and it was so fresh and delicious we were blown away. The charcuterie board was scarfed down equally fast. The homemade salami and pate was second to none. The mixed drinks were well crafted . The desserts were all off the chain and worth their price. We will be back!
This restaurant is way past it’s peak. Made us wait despite our reservation. Apps were okay. My ahi Tuna wasn’t edible. The mentality is load ‘em up, cram in as many people as possible and not care about the food quality or customer service. It’s a shame. They started out so well.
Everything was very nice! Might just be me but I was disappointed when I got my chicken dinner and it was the breast wings and thighs still together. Expecting breasts.. I don't like fighting to get meat off the wing and thighs.. my wife had the steak "special", not very special, chewy..
I been there about 3,4 times. Their food was amazing every time I go. They changed menu once a while. Nice location for views. Nice service.
Fun date night, lovely water views. Good food.
Loved this restaurant. I was super sad that at 6pm they were already sold out of pretzel bites.
With grandchildren, the table service was very good and the food also very good.
We had reservations and were seated right away. Great service and fantastic food! Will definitely be coming back!
I always enjoy this restaurant and today was no exception. We sat outside and enjoyed the view. We were eating a late lunch/early dinner and ordered boiled shrimp, smoked wings, caesar salad, and roasted brussel sprouts. My only disappointment was the wings. I did not get a real smoked flavor; I mostly tasted what I believe to be cumin. Everything else was good, but I will never order the wings again.
Love this place! Great food great views. Had some friends in town so we chose our favorite place. Tuna always great along with the veggie tray. Only issue this time was we we seated in the bar area so it was VERY loud tough to have conversation. Other than that our favorite restaurant
Maybe it was the later dining time (9:45) that caused the staff to be non-attentive and disengaged, but for the price you pay, the experience was a disappointment even after my wife’s high-school friend said he knows the owner. The location is great, decor is low-country modern, ambience was similar to a high-end steakhouse or country club... everything was in-place for a very nice evening, but fell short. I do have to say that the hostess staff was polite and helpful, but everyone else appeared to be ready to go a few doors down to start their own evening. Unfortunately it overshadowed the meal and made the $150 check (including tip) seem pricey.
My husband had the Surf n Turf burger which he described as the best burger he has ever had! I had the crab cavatelli which was delish! We ended with the caramel apple tart - yum! The service was great - would go back time and time again!
Favorite place in Mt P.
Great food and service!
Amazing atmosphere, we had Roger that would pass by the table and grab the empty, you could tell the servers helped each other to keep things moving. Always being asked if we needed anything. Appetizers where Great, my husband hamburger and fries were good. My Steak salad was a one time thing, I didn’t eat half of it, it was very tasteless. S’mores brownie was delicious! All in All great time!
Went for a bachelorette dinner on July 4th. Had a great table and server, food was great, drinks were awesome! Great spot for a nice meal in the heart of Shem creek.
Love the new additions to the menu.
First we arrived 10 minutes early for a 615 dinner. The hostess said we were not allowed to sit down until 615. She did not offer bar options. She basically said just leave or wait. She said we will text you. We went to the bar and passed a mostly empty dining room and at 620 went back. The hostess, a new one, said are you ready now? Uh I was ready 15 min ago, you sent me away. Our waitress was very pleasant but busy. My scallops were very good but only three and the dish was pretty expensive. I liked the idea of the dish but the risotto was undercooked so rice hard and I left it uneaten. The special was mediocre. Flatbread was good. Shrimp and grits good but very small portion. Overall I thought food was good but not executed well and portions very small.
I would recommend Tavern and Table with reservation. This was our 46th Anniversary, which was included in our reservation. The table was not ready for us, and it wasn't because every table was occupied. It was 10 minutes until we were seated, so why bother with a reservation? We were surrounded by crying children and noisy teen- angers. So why couldn’t we be seated in a less noisy part of the restaurant? There were open tables. We ordered two appetizers and two main courses. One appetizer came and then our main courses came. We cancelled the second appetizer. No one thought this was worthy of an apology or any other kind of problem solving. Our food was delicious, our experience was “meh”. I'm in no rush to return.
I am allowing this to be shared with Tavern and Table. There were aspects of my experience that were out of T&T's control, but where it could have been controlled, it just wasn't.
Parking is horrible. The menu is the same as always. Some specials or updates please. The food is good.
The food at Tavern & Table is good overall, but I was disappointed with my dish- the avocado toast. It is too big to get a bite of each layer and the seasoning was only on the top! The monkey bread shared by the table was good and the portion of the sausage and gravy was generous. The mimosas were tasty!
Food and service was good. Not the place to go if you want to hold a conversation. We were seated in the dining room that includes the bar - it was extremely loud. We asked to move to another room which they happily did but the noise level was still high. Great if you are 20-30 year old and want a lively bar scene.
Food was overpriced for quality and presentation.
Good variety of food. Indoor and outdoor dining overlooking the water Staff and hostesses are very
attentive. Great Night out!!!
We had a great meal and the restaurant is beautiful. Parking was a nightmare. We will be back but not on a Friday night.
Great place and food was unbelievable.
Made a reservation a week in advance, which I thought would be plenty ahead for a table outside on the creek, especially since it was a Tuesday. When we showed up, they said the outside tables were reservation only.. which I explained I had made a reservation for an outside table a week ago. They said it would be 45 minutes for one if we wanted to eat outside, so we sat inside.
It was so loud inside we had to shout to speak to each other. My folks were in town and hey had never been there before. Not a great first time! Our server was very nice and attentive! Food was very good! Drinks were a little stiff. I’m sure we will be back at some point for snacks, but won’t have dinner there again.
Continue to enjoy our visits here.
Menu changed. Best burger in the state (French dip burger) removed from menu and items there for years (pimento cheese/bacon jam) suddenly different- too spicy for most of the people at the table. Disappointing and we’ve loved this place for years. We’ll be back when the menu changes .
Food was very good. Server was pleasant but long wait for water refills and the check. Overall a good lunch with the girls
What a great find in Shem Creek! Shrimp tempura were OUTSTANDING! Caesar salad could have been better with shredded parmesan vs. the soft pulp that came with it. Good pours of wine and the decor is fantastic! Excellent waiter and very comfy chairs. Would have loved to sit outside but the heat was extreme. Next time!
Menu is too limited.
Always love going to Tavern & Table, food is consistently great and it’s always a fun environment
Greeted upon entry, seated immediately, service was fantastic, and food is why we continue to go there.
The pimento cheese with bacon jam was delicious. The bison burger was very good. The crab pasta was dry. Overall was good and will return.
Drinks at the bar were very good. Atmosphere was great. Menu was limited and food was good.
